Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 677: Visiting The Lightning Pond

Since the first Sky Jade restaurant and shop has been open for quite a long time in the Xian capital, coupled with the relatively close distance between the Xian and Yun Kingdoms, it made opening the first branch of both in the Yun capital relatively easier.

After Zhang Fei opened the building and held a small opening ceremony, the residents of the Yun capital immediately lined up in front. The people couldnʼt wait to eat the dishes they had eaten at the Sky Jade restaurant again, and they looked happy because they no longer needed to go to the Xian Kingdom just to eat them.

Zhang Fei decided to open his first branch restaurant on the first floor and his shop on the second floor. After everything was ready, he invited people to come in, but many had to queue because the building was not large enough to accommodate a large number of visitors at one time.

Qing Yi focused in the kitchen on cooking dishes ordered by restaurant visitors, but Zhang Chen and the others helped her by cooking the dishes from their residence. Zhang Lin, Ye Lian, Zhou Ziqin, Ming Yanyu, and several women from the demon fox group focused on serving the diners.

On the second floor, Tang Ziyu, with the help of Guo Lan, Wang Zhuxian, and several women from the demon fox group, serves the shop visitors. Fortunately, the visitors were cultivators, so they didnʼt have to bother to pack their purchases, and they only needed to store them in their respective storage rings.

Like their shop in the Xian capital, mattresses and other goods from Earth became the best sellers, especially since Zhang Fei decided not to sell pills there due to the presence of the Alchemy Unionʼs shop in the next building. In addition to mattresses, a variety of sex equipment is also in high demand, with sex dolls being the most popular item.

Unlike the opening of their shop and restaurant in the Yun Kingdom, the opening of the two in the Natural Races kingdom did not run smoothly. After all, they were not familiar with the Sky Jade restaurant or shop, and they had never known about dishes or goods from Earth.

The situation changed slightly when Xian Lianghua, Xue Jingling, and Xian Jinglan visited the restaurant. The natural races who had known Zhang Fei in the Star Tower also brought their respective family members to taste the dishes and look at the items from Earth.

Xin Xianzi also brought many people from the fairy race, which slowly made the situation in the restaurant and shop lively. In the end, the residents of the kingdomʼs capital decided to taste those dishes, and some of them even tried to explore the goods from Earth.

Janette focuses in the kitchen on cooking dishes for the diners. Yuhe, Sabina, and Shen Xueyi assisted her, especially since Zhang Fei couldnʼt bring the members of the Demon Fox group to the kingdom. Meanwhile, Shen assisted Lillea in the shop, and the natural races from the Sky Jade Realm focused on serving shop buyers.

Zhang Fei decided to sell various types of pills in his shop in the Natural Racesʼ Kingdom. Although many other types of pills also sold well, the basic pills were the best sellers among them, and their sales volume surpassed Earthʼs goods.

After ensuring that the opening of his restaurant and shopʼs two branches went smoothly, Zhang Fei took Yun Xinyue, Zhong Yan, and Angela to the Guo Clan, which was quite far from the Yun capital.

With Yun Xinyue by their side, they could enter the Guo Clan with ease. However, Zhang Fei felt a little disturbed when he noticed several men repeatedly glancing at Zhong Yan and Angela, both old and young.

Noticing their gazes at Zhong Yan and Angela, Yun Xinyue immediately ordered them to stop their actions. After all, Zhang Fei had a bad reputation for dealing with those he considered his enemies. He was truly cruel and did not hesitate to destroy them, so she did not want her clan members to have problems with him, which would only harm them.

Zhong Yan and Angela also noticed the glances the people from the Guo Clan were giving them, so they hugged both of Zhang Feiʼs arms intimately, which only fueled their jealousy toward him.

Yun Xinyue then led the three of them to the area behind the Guo Clan, which was the location of their lightning pond.

Zhang Fei was a little surprised when they arrived at the area, especially since it still looked natural, with many plants and rocks surrounding it. However, countless purple lightning bolts continued to strike from the sky into that area, and there was a fairly large pond filled with purple lightning.

”Usually, only our clan members use this pond to train their lightning elements, so you three are the first outsiders to use it.” Yun Xinyue then used a token to unlock the barrier, allowing them to enter. ”As my mother has explained to you, Zhong Yan and Angela can only train in this pond once every six hours, and they have to rest for six hours before continuing their training again.”

Zhang Fei nodded in understanding and summoned Lei Que out of the beastʼs space. Immediately, the thunderbird shrank his body because it was too big for that area.

Wasting no time, Lei Que immediately flew high above the lightning pond, but countless purple lightning bolts that fell from the sky immediately struck his body, causing him to grimace. ”Master! These lightning bolts are quite powerful, but they are not as powerful as the lightning from your lightning tribulations.”

”How long can you last there?”

Lei Que shook his head at Zhang Fei. ”Even though their attacks werenʼt very strong, they kept striking my body. Perhaps I can only withstand their attacks and absorb them for a day, after which I need some time to rest and recuperate.”

”All right, train there until your limit, then rest in the beast space.” Lei Que nodded to Zhang Fei and flew higher into the sky. ”Yanʼer and Angela, you two can enter the pond. Lei Que will prevent those lightning bolts from striking you two directly so you can focus on absorbing the lightning element in it.”

”Yes.” Zhong Yan and Angela rushed into the lightning pond. Although the lightning bolts could not strike their bodies directly, they still felt pain from the lightning in the pond. Even so, the two women did not want to give up because the lightning could help them become strong, especially to help them break through in their Heavenly Lightning Body cultivation techniques.

”What about you? Are you going to join Zhong Yan and Angela?” Yun Xinyue asked.

”No.” Zhang Fei shook his head at Yun Xinyue. ”The lightning in the pond is too weak for me, and I will join Lei Que up there. That way, I can protect them from the lightning bolts, and my Heavenly Lightning Body cultivation technique might be able to break through to the fourth stage faster.”

Before Yun Xinyue could stop Zhang Fei, he had already moved onto Lei Quiʼs back and sat there, absorbing the lightning bolts that struck the two of them.

After he completed the daily quest and Hong Xinxin woke up from her sleep, Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately asked her to use the liquid on him again, especially considering its potential usefulness when combined with the effects of the lightning bolts in the lightning pond.

Like yesterday, Hong Xinxin immediately poured a large amount of the liquid into the wooden tub, and Zhang Xiaolong [3] hurriedly soaked in it to absorb it.

After that, Hong Xinxin and Murong Qianying left the secluded house, especially after they learned from their people that Shang Huaqiang and Fei Qinyuan had left the Red Sun Realm.

Before they left, Hong Xinxin told Zhang Xiaolong [3] that they would be gone for one to two days. She also left a large amount of liquid for him to temper his body. After that, they immediately returned to their realm to meet the leaders of the other clans to discuss their next plans against the Shang Clan.

Since Zhang Fei [1] and Feltia [2] worked together to complete the daily quest, it wasnʼt difficult for them to complete it quickly.

Zhang Fei [1] immediately brought all his partners back to the portable mansion, where they were engaged in dual cultivation and soul cultivation. After all, most of his partners were still too weak because he couldnʼt use harem sharing with them, so he wanted them to focus on their cultivation first before taking them to live somewhere else.

Feltia [2] didnʼt bring Eve, Asreth, Leora, Fyr, the Amaris Twins, and Nadea to the portable mansion. Instead, he took them to the demon island, especially since he wanted to test their abilities to fight the demons there.

After all, Eve, Leora, and Fyrʼs demon ranks had gone up several levels to the Countess Rank in the past few months. They were also no longer ordinary demons but demon cultivators, and their cultivation had reached the core realm.

Despite reaching the same level of cultivation as them, Ashrethʼs demon rank remains at Marchioness. Although the Amaris Twins and Nadea were not demon cultivators, they were already much stronger than the demons in the Diyu Realms, especially since they had spent a lot of time in the Netherworld Realm and absorbed the demon aura there.

”Master, why have you never brought us to this island before?” Nadea asked him.

The Black Amaris inhaled the demon aura on the island before speaking. ”My lord, the demon aura on this island is much stronger than in the Diyu Realm, but it is slightly weaker than in the Netherworld Realm.”

”Thatʼs true.” The White Amaris nodded in agreement with her twin sister. ”My lord, I want to train on this island so our demon rank can increase faster, and we might be able to rise to become demon queens soon.”

”I canʼt wait to become a demon duchess.” Ashreth agreed with the three of them, and her eyes looked far away, excited about the adventure on the island.

”Hehe.” Leora giggled and jumped onto Feltia [2]ʼs back, hugging him from behind. ”Fei, letʼs train here for a few days. That way, Eve, Fyr, and I can become demon marchionesses soon.”

”Please, Fei. Let us train on this island.” Eve and Fyr begged Feltia [2].

”Haha.” Feltia [2] laughed, seeing them like that. ”Are you still unaware of the reason I brought you here? Since we havenʼt been in this realm for a long time and you are still too weak to cultivate demons, I decided to allow you to cultivate in the training space. However, you guys are already strong enough now, so I purposely brought you here to train and increase your demon power. Ilsath, Orith, Zilvora, and Balena will also join you all so you guys can protect each other.”

”Thatʼs great!”

Suddenly, Zhang Fei [4] appeared in front of them, bringing Ilsath, Orith, Zilvora, and Balena with him.

After Feltia [2] determined their training location, she immediately brought the female demons to that area, where they began their training while absorbing the demon aura. However, he refrained from taking them to the area of the two demon kingdoms, primarily because he didnʼt want to clash with the demons of those two kingdoms just yet.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [4] entered the training space because there were three new recipes in the alchemy shop, and he must successfully concoct one of them in order to unlock the level four alchemy feature.

Several hours passed quickly, and the sun was already beginning to set. However, the Sky Jade restaurant and shop in the Natural Racesʼ Kingdom were getting busier as news of their opening quickly spread to other areas of the island, and people from other towns flocked to the capital to check them out.

Even so, the situation was relatively relaxed and calm, and the natural races were much neater when visiting the restaurant and shop.

”Can we go now?”

Zhang Fei [5] immediately turned to Aqua. ”Oh, thatʼs right! I almost forgot that you invited me to your underwater city. Since the situation here is under control, we can go there now, and I want to know what is hidden in your forbidden place.”

”Iʼll come with you two.” Yuhe said this as she approached Zhang Fei [5] and Aqua.

Zhang Fei [5] hugged their waists, making Aqua feel awkward. ”Show me the direction of your city.”

”Over there.” Aqua responded by pointing in a specific direction. ”My underwater city is deep under the sea in that area.”

Zhang Fei [5] looked in that direction for a moment before taking the two women away from the capital. In a few minutes, they had already arrived above sea level in the area pointed out by Aqua, causing her to be stunned.

”Hehe.” Yuhe giggled at Aquaʼs reaction. ”Sister, you donʼt have to be surprised by his abilities. He has extraordinary movement techniques, and his raw speed has already surpassed cultivators in the Seven Divine Realms like us.”

”I see.” Aqua nodded in understanding before breaking away from Zhang Fei [5]ʼs embrace. ”Since you lack the water element, the seabed pressure will be too much for you, so Iʼll carry you there.”

”All right.” Aqua enveloped Zhang Fei [5] and Yuhe with her aura, and she also used her water element to create water bubbles. ”Letʼs go.”

*Splash*

On the way to the seabed, five giant sea beasts in the Seven Divine Realms tried to approach them because they were attracted by Zhang Fei [5]ʼs heavenly fox aura.

Zhang Fei [5] deliberately used his heavenly fox aura to lure them to him. After all, he had several other women with water elements, and they did not have beast contracts yet, so he wanted to find some for them.

However, the five sea beasts did not dare to get too close, especially since the pressure from Zhang Fei [5]ʼs aura was too terrifying for them.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately read the information about the five sea beasts after Mei displayed them. Although the five sea beasts were powerful, he felt that none of them were worthy of being the contract beasts of his women, so he ignored them.

After a while of swimming, they finally reached the seabed. However, Aqua took them into her underwater city through another path—not through the water whirlpool like Yuhe experienced when she went there the first time.

”Welcome to my underwater city.” Aqua then led them to a forbidden place, which was located far at the back. She explained several things to Zhang Fei [5]. ”As you can see, the residents of this city are natural races from my undine race and several other races. This city also hosts numerous aquatic beasts that have undergone transformation into humans. However, no land beasts have ever come here, so you are the first to come here.”

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head at that. ”Miss Aqua, I may be a heavenly fox, but I am basically human because I was born as one.”

”Well, thatʼs true.” Aqua then told Zhang Fei [5] about every race among the natural races that lived in her underwater city, such as Nereid, Oceanid, Mermaid, and many more.

Zhang Fei [5] listened to Aquaʼs story as he observed the people of all races who crossed their paths, especially the female ones. He also checked their status one by one, and many of them had high cultivation levels, but none of them attracted him.

Zhang Fei [5] then asked Mei to check every female beast in the underwater city, especially those with cultivation in the Seven Divine Realms.

A while later, they reached the vicinity of the forbidden area, where a giant three-headed sea beast lay in front of the entrance. However, Zhang Fei [5]ʼs expression turned serious after he sensed the aura of the thing inside the place. ʼThe thing inside is clearly related to the ten-tailed fox, yet its aura is different from the old fox, and it feels more evil.ʼ
