Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 681: Intermediate Wind Law

Similar to the fairy forest in the Sky Jade Realm, Zhang Fei and the others had to pass through many tree formations to enter the fairy forest in the Nine Stars Realm. However, due to the difference in quality between the two realms, those formations were much more complicated and stronger.

A while later, they arrived inside the fairy forest. As Zefyr had told him before, Zhang Fei also felt that the place was much more beautiful than the one in the Sky Jade Realm. Countless small wooden houses were scattered neatly, and several small rivers flowed across several areas with sparkling clear green water; even small aquatic beasts swam happily in it. Various types of colorful flower plants, fruit trees, and spiritual herbs grow abundantly across the area. ”Iʼve seen many realms, but this forest is the most beautiful.”

”Hehehe.” Xin Xianzi laughed as she floated in front of Zhang Feiʼs face, placing her two small hands on his waist. ”Are you interested in staying here? Unfortunately, you cannot bring the people by your side here, especially those female demons. Though they may not harm humans, my race will harm demons.”

Zhang Fei nodded in understanding. ”I like this forest, but I have no intention of staying here. I will definitely visit again if I have free time, and I will spend a few days here.”

”Yay! Thatʼs great!” Xin Xianzi cheered excitedly.

*Zap... Zap...*

A bolt of lightning suddenly struck the ground in front of them, and a female fairy with long purple hair appeared in front of them. Despite her tiny form, her oval face looks mature and alluring, and her figure is quite sexy in her purple sleeveless dress. She has two purple eyes, thin lips covered in purple, D-cup breasts, a slim waist, and wide but big hips. ”I have been waiting for you to come, Zhang Fei. Although you do not have the lightning element, I can feel that the lightning inside your body is thick. If my guess is accurate, one of your clones is training in the Guo Clanʼs lightning pond, and one of your goals in coming to this realm is to go to Cyanwood Mountain.”

”Zhang Fei, she is the leader of our fairy race, Big Sis Lei Ting.” Xin Xianzi introduced them. ”Her lightning element has reached the peak rank, and her understanding of the lightning elemental law has reached the half-perfection stage, so her understanding is already close to perfection.”

Xin Xianzi actually didnʼt need to say all that, especially since Mei had already displayed Lei Tingʼs data to Zhang Fei. Her cultivation was on par with Xian Lianghua and Xue Jingling in the 5-Moon Divine Expansion Realm. ”Youʼre right about both.”

Lei Ting released a soft sigh. ”Unfortunately, you will never be able to go to Cyanwood Mountain without the lightning element. Even if you have it and master the lightning elemental law, you will never be able to get there.”

”Is that so?” Zhang Fei inquired with a relaxed smile. ”I know youʼre saying that for my good, but you donʼt know anything about me or all the stories Iʼve been through to reach this stage. I may not be able to go to Cyanwood Mountain now, but I will definitely go there in the future, and I will prove to all of you that I can conquer its peak.”

”How can you be so confident?” Lei Ting curiously asked.

Zhang Fei shook his head at Lei Ting. ”We just met today, so I wonʼt tell you my secrets. However, I can tell you that I used to be an ordinary human born in a world without Qi, and I never knew that cultivators and cultivation worlds existed. Since I started my cultivation path, eight months have passed, and I have been living in this realm, which is located in the middle realms.”

”Eight... eight months?” Lei Ting stuttered.

Zhang Feiʼs confession also shocked Xin Xianzi, Xian Jinglan, and Lang. All this time, they thought he had been cultivating for several years, and his cultivation speed was already extremely fast, considering he was only 20 years old. However, he said that he had only cultivated for eight months, which made his cultivation speed too absurd and defied common sense.

Zhang Fei remained relaxed, observing their reactions. ”Thatʼs right, eight months. Can any of you reach my level in eight months?”

”You... you...” Xin Xianzi stuttered as she pointed at Zhang Feiʼs face. ”You are too absurd! It took me ten years to reach the Earth Realm, yet you achieved it in just eight months.”

Xian Jinglan agreed with Xin Xianzi. ”All this time, people have always called me a genius, but your rapid cultivation speed made me feel that their praise was overly exaggerated. In this kingdom, there are countless experienced dual cultivators, many of whom have many wives like you, but none of them can reach that level as quickly as you.”

”Princess Jinglan, I wouldnʼt dare to claim that I am superior to other dual cultivators, especially considering the numerous advantages I possess over them.” Xian Jinglan and the two women looked at Zhang Fei with curious gazes. ”You guys already know my three identities, right? My three identities are my main advantage, and you can say that I am similar to three cultivators in one body. My human form is my main identity, and it holds my basic strength. My demon and beast forms give me many other advantages over others, and my power increases severalfold every time both of my forms reach high ranks and evolve. Moreover, I havenʼt reached the maximum yet, and both of my forms have the potential to increase and evolve several more times.”

”I donʼt know about demon ranks or their evolution, but I know a lot about beasts, especially since Iʼve been with Lang since we were little.” Xian Jinglan stroked the brown wolfʼs head. ”As his beast rank rises, he gains a significant boost in both his cultivation and physical strength. As he evolves, both his cultivation and physical strength will significantly increase, particularly his physical strength. Since you are a heavenly fox, and your beast rank is much higher than his, I think your improvement should be much more significant than his.”

”Howl... Howl...” Lang let out a howl in agreement with his master.

”Hehe.” Zhang Fei chuckled. ”Actually, demon ranks and evolution are not different from beasts. However, each demon race will experience different advancements every time their demon ranks increase, and their evolutions will provide different benefits as well.”

”Hey, what exactly is your demon form?” Xin Xianzi asked as she flew around Zhang Fei.

”Zhang Fei is a lust demon lord.” After Zefyr said that, Xin Xianzi immediately stopped flying and looked at Zhang Fei in shock. Xian Jinglan and Lei Ting also directed their strange gazes toward him, instinctively retreating a few steps. ”Hehe! Thatʼs why he has so many women by his side, especially since no woman can handle him alone.”

On the other hand, Xin Xianzi seemed curious about Zhang Feiʼs demon form, but he couldnʼt possibly use it in the fairy forest, or her race members would immediately turn hostile toward him. ”Shall we go to the fairy fountain first?”

”I want to test something on him, so we should go to the fairy glades first.” Zhang Fei had no objections to that, and he had already guessed what Lei Ting wanted to do to him.

.

.

.

Soon, they arrived at the spacious fairy glades. Numerous vibrant plants and a variety of small creatures were present, emitting sounds akin to singing.

Zhang Fei was looking around the area when he sensed something unusual. Then, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes to calm himself. Soon, a multitude of whispers reached his ears, initially unclear but gradually becoming clearer.

”Hmm?” The wind engulfed Zhang Feiʼs body, shocking Lei Ting, Xin Xianzi, and Xian Jinglan. The wind slowly lifted him into midair, and he sat there with the wind gathering and spinning in place to form a chair beneath him.

”How is this possible?” Lei Ting muttered as she stared at Zhang Fei in astonishment.

”This guy has consistently given me surprises since we were in the tower.” Xian Jinglan was also muttering to herself. ”We havenʼt even been here for five minutes, but he has already merged with nature, and he has heard the whispers.”

Xin Xianzi pouted her lips after seeing that. ”It took me a month to be able to hear the whispers clearly.”

ʼHahaha!ʼ Zefyr laughed inwardly, listening to the three women. ʼThey donʼt know that Zhang Feiʼs comprehension is so terrifying, and he is used to being one with nature since I made a contract with him. Moreover, he has already mastered the wind elemental law, and it will probably break through after this.ʼ

A while later, more wind moved toward Zhang Fei, wrapping his body like a wind sphere that became thicker with each passing moment.

Time flew by quickly, and three hours had passed since Zhang Fei was in that position. However, the wind slowly subsided before disappearing completely a moment later, followed by the appearance of three notifications.

[Ding]

[Congratulations! The hostʼs light elemental law has reached the intermediate stage.]

[The clone illusion steps have advanced to level six.]

[The Nine Cloud Steps have advanced to level five.]

”Phew.” Zhang Fei immediately opened his eyes and landed on the ground. Without using his movement technique or wind element, he ran around the fairy glades, leaving the three women from the fairy race dumbfounded at his speed.

In just a minute, Zhang Fei had circled the fairy glades more than ten times, which caused Lei Ting, Xin Xianzi, and Xian Jinglan to be shocked beyond words. After all, he ran without using anything, and they were sure that their eyes or senses would not be able to follow his speed if he used his wind elements or movement techniques.

”Jinglan, not even your father can keep up with Zhang Feiʼs movements if he uses his full speed.”

Xian Jinglan nodded in agreement with Lei Ting. ”My fatherʼs speed is already very fast, but Zhang Feiʼs speed is several levels above him. Moreover, his cultivation is still in the ten mortal realms, and he has not yet used his full speed, so my father will never be able to follow his movements, let alone catch up to him.”

A while later, Zhang Fei had returned to their presence, and he spoke directly to Lei Ting. ”Use your full lightning power to attack me.”

”Zhang Fei, you—”

”Stop it, Xianzi.” Xian Jinglan stopped her best friend. ”Zhang Fei has already experienced lightning tribulation several times, so you donʼt need to worry about him.”

”But—”

”Itʼs okay, Xianzi. My lightning tribulations are very strong, so Iʼll be fine.” Zhang Fei then jumped back some distance. ”Please attack me.”

Lei Ting nodded and took out her staff, pointing it high into the sky. In a few moments, the sky above them turned dark with many lightning flashes, but Zhang Fei looked up at them with a relaxed expression.

Unlike Zhang Fei and the others, Xin Xianzi was so tense that her tiny hands were clasped in front of her chest.

”Zhang Fei, I will use one powerful attack, and I will enhance it with my lightning elemental law, so you better be prepared.” Lei Ting spoke to him.

ʼLei Tingʼs lightning power pales in comparison to Hong Xinxinʼs, especially since the difference in their cultivation is too great.ʼ Zhang Fei then nodded to Lei Ting. ”Iʼm ready.”

*Zap... Zap... Zap...*

As soon as Lei Ting swung his staff down, a lightning dragon immediately descended from the sky toward Zhang Fei. The lightning dragon struck Zhang Fei directly within seconds, causing a loud bang that echoed throughout the fairy forest.

*Boom*

”Zhang Fei!” Xin Xianzi screamed as she flew forward, but Zefyr immediately blocked in front of her, shaking her head. ”What—”

Xin Xianzi swallowed her words back after Zhang Fei appeared before her eyes again. Although his appearance was messy, and his clothes were tattered and burnt, he didnʼt seem to suffer any injuries.

On the other hand, Lei Ting took a deep breath because she used all her lightning power to summon the lightning dragon just now, but Zhang Fei was still able to stand at his spot with a relaxed smile on his face.

On Lei Tingʼs side, Xian Jinglan was at a loss for words to comment on Zhang Feiʼs absurdity. ʼThis guy! How did he manage to withstand the lightning dragon just now without suffering any injuries? Did he use something to protect his body without us realizing it? Thatʼs impossible, right? If he had used an artifact, his appearance and clothing wouldnʼt have been messed up like that.ʼ

In fact, Zhang Fei was injured because of Lei Tingʼs attack just now, but his regenerative healing factor quickly healed the external injury. ʼThe lightning dragonʼs attack just now wasnʼt bad, and it caused me quite a bit of pain. However, it is still inferior to the lightning wolf summoned by Hong Xinxin, let alone compared to my lightning tribulation.ʼ ”Do you still doubt that I have the ability to reach the top of Cyanwood Mountain?”

”Yes and no.” Lei Ting replied with a heavy sigh. ”I acknowledge your amazing ability to withstand my lightning dragon, but the power of the lightning at Cyanwood Lightningʼs peak surpasses my lightning by a hundred or even a thousand times. You might be able to reach the peak, but you will never be able to do so before you reach the high level of the Seven Divine Realms.”

Zhang Fei nodded repeatedly as a sign of agreement with Lei Tingʼs remarks. ”Well? Iʼm not in a rush to go there either, and Iʼll probably go there in the next few years. At that time, Iʼm sure my cultivation has reached the Seven Divine Realms, and I will conquer the lightning at its peak.”

”I hope you can really be patient, or you will die and become ashes up there.” Lei Ting then turned to Xin Xianzi. ”You can take Zhang Fei to the fairy mountain, and I will go see Emperor Xian.”

”I will go back with you to see my father, Sister Ting.”

”All right.” After that, Lei Ting, Xian Jinglan, and Lang hurriedly left the fairy forest.

.

.

.

Xin Xianzi had brought Zhang Fei and Zefyr to the fairy fountain, but it was more like a bathing pool than a fountain.

”Hehehe.” Zefyr laughed as she took off her green dress, and she immediately flew to the fairy fountain before diving into it.

”It seems that Zefyr is as shameless as you.” Xin Xianzi said to Zhang Fei with a shake of her head. ”You should take off your clothes and clean yourself before you go in there.”

”Arenʼt you going to join us?” Zhang Fei asked Xin Xianzi.

Xin Xianzi thought for a moment before nodding. ”Close your eyes first, and donʼt peek at me.”

ʼHaha! This shy fairy! You definitely wonʼt be shy anymore after I take you into my arms.ʼ Zhang Fei immediately closed his eyes.

Xin Xianzi hurriedly took off her pink dress and joined Zefyr inside the fairy fountain, leaving her small head above the surface.

”You can come in now.” Xin Xianzi covered her face with both hands as Zhang Fei took off his clothes, but her eyes peeked out from between her fingers, making her face turn bright red as she saw his dick. ʼZefyr said that it was big, but it was much bigger.ʼ

After that, Zhang Fei immediately soaked in the fairy fountain. ”What should I do next, Xianzi?”

”Hmm?” Xin Xianzhi immediately told him. ”You only need to close your eyes and calm your mind, and the fairy ancestors will appear in front of you if they deem you have a pure heart. Otherwise, they will not show any reaction, and you will not gain any benefit from them.”

”All right, whether it works or not, Iʼll try it first.” Zhang Fei immediately closed his eyes and followed Xin Xianziʼs instructions just now.
