Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 195: Deserted Valley

After he killed the bull demon beast leader, Zhang Fei only noticed that something unusual happened to the demon extermination sword, which absorbed a part of his demon soul, but he immediately ignored it and focused on his quest first.

As soon as their leader died, the herd of bull demon beasts fled the place in a hurry, but Zhang Fei certainly didnʼt let them go. As he used the clone illusion steps, he moved towards the herd and killed them one by one, while his sword continued to absorb some of their demon souls.

”Phew.” With a breath of relief, Zhang Fei examined the demon extermination sword. ”Did you notice it, Mei? This sword absorbs their souls, but I donʼt feel any changes in this sword, and their souls also donʼt provide any benefits to me.”

[Yes, master, I also noticed that, but I donʼt understand the benefits of their demon souls for the demon extermination sword. Perhaps you should use it to kill more demons or demon beasts, and we might find out the true effect of their demon souls on it. After all, the sword is still incomplete, and its grade is still unclear.]

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Zhang Fei grinned slightly and ran straight to another area. ”In that case, letʼs test it by killing other demon beasts; after that, I will return to earth to send them off to the Sky Jade Realm.”

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [1] had already swam quite deep in the ocean, but he still hadnʼt managed to find the beast, especially since it didnʼt appear on his map. However, he found an underwater cave not far from his location, so he rushed there and swam along it carefully.

A while later, Zhang Fei [1] had already arrived at the end of the cave, but he strangely saw a light from above and swam straight towards the surface. However, to his surprise, he arrived at a valley far from the ocean, and it was filled with various kinds of herbs. The names of the three people immediately appeared on his map.

Not only that, he could also see the names Xia Qianqian and Ning Qingxue at a considerable distance from his current location.

[Master, it seems that people in this realm donʼt know about the existence of this place, especially since it is still very natural, so humans have never come here before.]

Zhang Fei [1] nodded in agreement with that, but he was still curious about the beastʼs whereabouts, especially since its name still hadnʼt appeared on his map, so he decided to summon Boitata out of his beast space.

”Eh? Where is this place, Master? Why did I never know there was a place in this realm before?” With gleaming eyes, Boitata watched those herbs, her saliva seeming to drip from the corner of her mouth. ”Ouch!” Why did you slap my butt again? Are you looking forward to eating me?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [1] nodded as he squeezed Boitataʼs buttocks. ”However, I wonʼt eat you using this clone of mine, so I will summon you in the Diyu Realm before eating you later with my real body, and I will make a mischievous snake like you submit to me.”

”Ha ha.” Upon hearing that, Boitata laughed awkwardly, still feeling scared due to the size of his dick. However, she then spoiledly hugged Zhang Fei [1], teasing him in the process. ”Master, Iʼm your contract beast, remember? Since Iʼve already submitted to you, I canʼt possibly be more submissive than now, right?”

”You are still not completely submissive to me, so I have to train you to become more submissive to me.” Boitata sulked in response, and Zhang Fei [1] surveyed the surroundings as he questioned her. ”Can you feel the presence of another beast in this place?

The villagers said that there was a big beast that was disturbing their lives, and Qingxue said the beast was similar to an octopus, so I thought I wanted to catch it and roast it. That way, the villagers can live more peacefully, and they can also hunt aquatic beasts again to fulfill their living needs.”

”Since when do you care about other people, Master?” Instead, Boitata asked him back as she suspiciously looked at Zhang Fei [1]. ”Usually, you only care about yourself and those closest to you, but now you want to help the villagers.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [1] laughed at that. ”Donʼt we have a soul bond? You should be able to understand my mind and soul, right?”

”Well, thatʼs true.” Boitata then pointed to the areaʼs northern corner. ”That beast was hiding there with its camouflage abilities, especially since it was frightened by your heavenly fox aura. Moreover, you wanted to roast and eat it, so it didnʼt dare appear in front of you.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [1] raised his eyebrows for a moment before spreading his heavenly fox aura throughout the area. ”Hey, beast! You better come out now, or I will force you out by beating you half to death. After that, I will chop your tentacles into small pieces before skinning you alive, and I will give your meat to the two tigresses after I roast you.”

”Pft! Hahahaha!” Boitata laughed while listening to Zhang Fei [1]ʼs words, and she spoke to the beast. ”Hey! My master never jokes with his words, so you shouldnʼt test his patience, or he will really do all that to you.”

Hearing that, the beast immediately canceled its camouflage ability, leaving its huge body exposed before their eyes, but it trembled strongly as it stared at them. Soon, the beastʼs body shrank rapidly before turning into a young boy around 15 years old with eight tentacles on his back. He timidly approached them. ʼUgh! Why am I so unlucky today? Their aura really scared me, especially that human man.

That woman is no different from him, and her beast rank seems to be far above mine.ʼ

ʼOh? Heʼs so old, but he still looks like a little brat.ʼ Zhang Fei [1] inwardly muttered as he smiled in amusement. ”Hey, Polypus! Come here!”

”Eh?” Polypus was momentarily stunned after Zhang Fei [1] called his name, but he immediately rushed to them and knelt down on the ground. ”What? What can I do for you? I donʼt have a problem with you, so please donʼt hurt me.”

”Hahaha! What a timid beast!” Boitata shouted as she lifted Polypus, as if she were lifting a child. ”How did you get stranded here? Why are you alone in this place?”

Polypusʼ face was red with shame, especially since he was quite old, but Boitata treated him like a child. ”Big... Big Sis, please put me down; youʼre embarrassing me.”

”Hahaha!” Boitata laughed loudly and put Polypus down, but then rubbed his head roughly. ”Even though you are over a hundred years old, you are still a child in my eyes, especially since I have lived for over a thousand years.”

”Eh?” After hearing that, Polypus stared at Boitata with a series of blinks. ”Doesnʼt that mean youʼre an old hag? Ouch... Ouch... Big Sis, please let go of my ears!”

”You little brat! How dare you call me an old hag?” Boitata shouted angrily, and her facial muscles popped out in anger. ”If you dare call me that one more time, I will swallow you alive!”

”All right, let him go, Boitata.” Zhang Fei [1] spoke while shaking his head, but he also felt amused that Polypus was still so innocent despite his old age. ”What are you doing here? Why did you attack the villagers? Why did you kidnap those three men?”

”Big Brother, I didnʼt intend to attack those humans; I was just looking for food in my beast form. However, they got scared after seeing me and attacked me, so I did that to protect myself.” Polypus then pointed to the three men, who were still unconscious in the distance.

”They dived to the bottom of the ocean specifically to capture me, but I didnʼt want to kill them, so I rendered them unconscious and brought them here.”

However, Zhang Fei [1] didnʼt just believe Polypusʼ words; he also used his demon eyes to probe into his soul. To his surprise, his soul was still innocent, so he was sure that she was not lying. ”Did you go to this place because of these herbs?”

”Yes.” Polypus nodded to Zhang Fei [1]. ”Actually, I came from an ocean far away from this place, and I accidentally found this place while I was having fun by myself. Since these herbs are very beneficial to me, and no human knew about this place before, I decided to stay here now.”

Zhang Fei [1] nodded in understanding, and he himself felt tempted to obtain those herbs, but he knew for sure that it would be better if he left them there so they could grow more naturally. Furthermore, he now has the warp portal ability, and he immediately saved the location so he could come and go whenever he wanted. He then asked Boitata to lift the three men, which she immediately did.

”If thatʼs the case, you can stay here, and weʼll take them with us.”

”Are you really not going to do anything to me, Big Brother?” Polypus timidly asked him.

”No.” Zhang Fei [1] responded with a shake of his head. ”I wonʼt do anything to you because you donʼt have any evil intentions, but I hope you donʼt approach the human area again and look for food in an area a little further away, so all of you can live in peace without disturbing each other.

Even so, I will come here again if I need herbs that are useful for me and my family members, so you have to take care of these herbs well and donʼt damage them, understand?”

When he heard that, Polypus nodded repeatedly at Zhang Fei [1]. ”Yes, big brother. I will not approach those humans again, and I will take care of this place for you.”

”Thatʼs good.” After that, Boitata immediately took Zhang Fei [1], and the three men flew away from the place.

Polypus wiped his forehead while exhaling in relief at their departure. ”Phew! I thought they would really kill me, but they werenʼt that bad after all. Moreover, they are both very strong, so it would be better if I followed his words, and he might treat me even better if I carried out his orders well.”

After that, Polypus immediately jumped into the water, returned to his beast form, and swam to an area far from the shore to look for food.

”Hmm?” Xia Qianqian immediately stood up as soon as she saw Zhang Fei [1] flying towards her, but she seemed jealous as soon as she saw Boitata by her side, especially since her figure surpassed hers in all areas. However, after she saw her brother and the two men, her expression changed to relief, and she immediately approached them while asking. ”Are they okay, brother?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [1] nodded to Xia Qianqian. ”Theyʼre just unconscious, and theyʼll wake up soon, so it would be better if we took them back to the village now.”

”Yes, Brother.” Xia Qianqian then ran towards Ning Qingxue, who was also still unconscious, making Zhang Fei [1] raise his eyebrows, but she then explained to him about their previous fight.

ʼThat girl is such an idiot! Thatʼs why I donʼt find her attractive, particularly because of her intense jealousy.ʼ After that, Boitata took them all back to the village before returning to the beast space, and Zhang Fei [1] immediately left the room after placing the four people on the bed. ”Hey, Iʼll wait for you to keep your promise.”

”Yes, Brother. Iʼll meet you after I take care of my brother.”
