Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 191: Demon Remnant II

[I donʼt recommend it, Master. Shi Wu and Shi Xi are ordinary humans, and exposure to this demon miasma will undoubtedly result in their deaths. Actually, it would be better for you to leave them in the Chu Clan and teach them cultivation, so they will be more useful to you.

In this manner, you can relocate the blood tree demon to your portable mansion, but it will prevent all of them from entering again due to the demonʼs miasma spreading and filling it.]

Zhang Fei [1] actually did not want to teach the Shi Sisters about cultivation, as he thought that they might betray him in the future. After all, they didnʼt have a good relationship, and he captured them after Guo Lanʼs kidnapping. However, he also took Meiʼs words seriously, especially since they would indeed be more useful to him if they were cultivators. ”Anyway, is Mei Xiang awake now?”

[Not yet. Mei Xiang suffered a heavy blow to her mental and soul, especially after she saw her eldest sonʼs head, so she is still unconscious now.]

Zhang Fei [1] nodded in understanding before deciding to take Qiao Ran out of his portable mansion, especially since he wanted to see the effect of the demon miasma on her.

”Argh!” Qiao Ran instantly groaned in pain and fell to the ground as soon as she appeared in the cave. Her expression was filled with pain from the demon miasma that entered her body through her pores. However, as soon as she saw Zhang Fei [1] in incubus form, her expression looked shocked, and she also realized their location. ”Argh! Why did you bring me to this place?

I will die if this demon miasma continues to enter my body.”

”What else?” Zhang Fei [1] then squatted down beside Qiao Ran and opened her top, noticing that her white skin was starting to turn black due to the demon miasma. ”I want to know how this demon miasma affects humans, so I will use you as a guinea pig to find out the results. However, you donʼt need to worry; I wonʼt let you die, especially since you are still useful to me.”

ʼArgh! This bastard is truly evil! I had no idea he was a demon masquerading as a human!ʼ But alas, Qiao Ran had misjudged Zhang Fei [1], especially since she didnʼt know that he had three forms, all three of which were real. ”Argh! Please send me back in there; this demon miasma is eating away at my body from within.”

[Master, you better absorb the demon miasma that entered Qiao Ranʼs body and send her back to the portable mansion, or she will really die if you keep her here.]

Zhang Fei [1] nodded and touched Qiao Ranʼs chest. He then absorbed all of the demon miasma that was already inside her body, causing it to recover quickly. Once her body was free of the demon miasma, he sent her back into the portable mansion. ”Sigh. I want to have this blood tree demon, but it would be troublesome if I moved it there.”

[Master, I think you can use another method to obtain this blood tree demon.]

”What do you mean, Mei?”

[Hehe, you have the training space, and I think you can move this blood tree demon in there first, so the four women inside the portable mansion wonʼt be affected by the demon miasma.]

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [1] raised his eyebrows after hearing that. ”Shouldnʼt they be able to train in my training space? I thought about letting them train in there later, but they wonʼt be able to do that if I keep this blood tree demon in there.”

[Youʼre right; they can indeed train there, but Iʼm not asking you to keep this blood tree demon in there, Master. You can move it there first, and your real body can move it to the Diyu Realm. After all, that realm is also the realm of demons, and this demon miasma wonʼt affect them, so I think itʼs the best solution for that.]

Zhang Fei nodded in understanding and tried to dig up the blood demon tree, but a black smoke suddenly emerged from the tree, which immediately turned into a huge demon figure like an oni. It had two large horns on its head, as well as two large fangs protruding from its mouth. ”Hmm? An incubus? How did you get here? Did Azarel send you here?

Why do you want to dig up this tree?”

[Master, this demon is just a remnant of his soul; he no longer has his prime strength, so you donʼt need to be afraid of him.]

Hearing that, Zhang Fe [1] stood up, smirked faintly, and immediately pressed the Demon Extermination Sword, coated in his light qi, towards the demonʼs neck.

The demon instantly released a groan filled with pain from the effects of his light element. ”Argh! Stop it! How... how can a lust demon like you use the light element? Iʼll disappear if you do this to me!”

”How can I use the light element? Obviously, this is because Iʼm not an ordinary demon, but I wonʼt tell you anything.” Zhang Fei [1] then pressed his sword even more against the demonʼs neck.

”Anyway, I know that this is just your soul remnant, so you wonʼt be able to do anything to me, and I will give you an easy death if you answer all my questions; otherwise, I will torture you first before I eliminate you.”

ʼThis bastard! How is this possible? Even the demon lord couldnʼt do such a thing!ʼ The demon grumbled to himself, especially since he indeed couldnʼt do anything against Zhang Fei [1].

”Which realm do you come from? Who is Azarel? What is your purpose in planting this demon blood tree in this place? Are there other trees elsewhere?” Zhang Fei [1] asked him a few questions, but the demon didnʼt seem to want to answer them, so he immediately swung his sword and slashed his right arm clean, causing him to let out a painful roar that sounded out of the cave.

”You better not test my patience and answer my questions now, or else I will make you suffer more than this.”

ʼDamn it! How is this possible? How could his sword cut through my soul remnant?ʼ The demon muttered as he shivered, looking at the Demon Extermination Swrod in Zhang Fei [1]ʼs hand. ”I am a demon from the Netherworld Realm, and my lord deliberately left the remains of my soul in this blood demon tree to scare away humans who try to approach it.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [1] raised his eyebrows after hearing that. ”No wonder I felt the same urge when Mei opened the gate to that realm from this cave; it turns out you came from that realm. Answer my other questions.”

”Azarel is the Incubus Lord, and I originally thought that you were his subordinate, but thatʼs impossible because you can use the light element.”

”Thatʼs right.” Zhang Fei [1] nodded to him. ”I am indeed an incubus, but I am not a demon from the Netherworld Realm.”

”As for your question about this blood tree demon, there are still four other trees in this realm, and each is located in four different regions.” Zhang Fei [1] looked at the demon with narrowed eyes after hearing that. ”You donʼt need to ask me for their location because I donʼt know where they put the other four, and each demon blood tree is guarded by other remnant souls from other demons.

This tree is used for long-term plans because it takes a very long time to mature, and it will release a more potent demon miasma upon reaching maturity, which will kill all humans in this realm before turning them into mindless demons.”

Zhang Feiʼs face darkened upon hearing that, and without thinking twice, he increased his light element before slashing his sword several times, killing the demon directly. After that, he opened his map to search for the whereabouts of the other blood demon trees, but it and Mei couldnʼt detect their presence. ”Tch! This matter is truly troublesome!

I have to inform Huaʼer and Lingxue about this so they can move to find their whereabouts. Otherwise, everything will be too late if the four trees are allowed to reach their maturity, and the people in this realm will suffer.”

[Master, you must warn them not to approach the four treesʼ location if they find them, or else they will suffer the same torment that Qiao Ran endured earlier.]

Zhang Fei [1] nodded in agreement when he informed his two wives about the blood demon tree in the other four regions, and he also asked them to inform the people in the northern and eastern regions, especially since he didnʼt know the people from both regions.

After he did that, Zhang Fei [1] immediately dug up the blood demon tree before sending it into his training space, and he then walked out leisurely while absorbing the remaining demon miasma left in the cave.

Meanwhile, Liu Bai and Liu Kang exchanged looks of shock when they saw the demon miasma in the cave dissipating quickly. ”Do you think our young master managed to clear it?”

Liu Kang nodded to his brother. ”I donʼt know the source of the demon miasma myself, but there might be something in that cave that caused it, and our young master has probably gotten rid of it by now.”

”In that case, we should report this matter to our matriarch, so we can immediately check inside once the demon miasma completely disappears.” Liu Bai took out his communication device and contacted Liu Rong directly, but it was useless because Liu Hua had immediately informed her mother as soon as she received information about it from Zhang Fei [1].

”The second young miss has already informed her about this matter, and she asked us to coordinate with our young master.”

”Did our matriarch tell you something else?”

”Yes.” Liu Bai then told his brother about the existence of the other four blood demon trees, shocking Liu Kang. ”I donʼt know how our young master did it, but this is really good for our regionʼs people, and we no longer need to guard this place.”

Liu Kang agreed with him. ”Weʼve guarded this place for so long, and we can finally return to our clan to be with our families.”

After that, they ran towards the entrance of the cave, especially since the demon miasma was no longer visible from the outside, so they felt that it was safe for them to go there. Gu Yan and Luo Yu followed them immediately, and they waited together for Zhang Fei [1] to come out from inside.

After they waited for some time, Zhang Fei [1], who had already returned to his human form, casually walked out, and the two women immediately jumped up to hug him before examining his body from top to bottom. ”Hahaha! You guys donʼt need to act like this, you know? Nothing happened to me, and I already got rid of something inside there, so the demon miasma wonʼt appear here again.”

”Thatʼs good.” Both women said this while releasing sighs of relief.

”Young master, have you eliminated the blood demon tree?” Liu Kang asked him.

”Yes, I destroyed the tree.” Both men nodded to Zhang Fei [1]. ”However, there are still four more trees in other regions, and they should have moved to find their location by now. Even so, they wonʼt be able to get close to those trees, so Iʼll wait for news from Huaʼer before going to eliminate them, and our realm will be safe from them.”

”Our matriarch had already told us earlier, and she asked us to follow your instructions regarding this cave.”

However, Zhang Fei shook his head at them. ”Seniors, you donʼt need to check this cave anymore because there is only that tree inside, so you two can return to the Liu Clan now.”

The two middle-aged men exchanged glances for a moment before saying goodbye to Zhang Fei [1] and the others, and they immediately left the place.

Zhang Fei [1] then hugged the two womenʼs waists as he said. ”Letʼs go back to the village, and weʼll leave tomorrow. As for the mission, we wonʼt get any points, especially since I already destroyed the item.”
