Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 187: Dryad Forest

After Janette returned to her dryad form, the tree roots stopped attacking them and disappeared into the ground again. Soon, three young female dryads appeared from behind the trees, and their eyes lit up after seeing her.

All three of them are in their dryad form, so their bodies are no different from the plants around them, and their bodies come from different types of plants; only they can move and talk like humans.

One of them had waist-length blonde hair with amber eyes, but her body was too petite, like a teenage girl around fifteen years old, and she was also flat-chested. Even so, she had an attractive face, and her body gave off a calming aura.

The second dryad had as short red hair as a rose, and her appearance was that of a girl in her early twenties, but her expression was sadistic, with many spikes circling her body. Her eyes were red, and her fingers were more like claws. Her face is not very attractive, but her body is quite attractive, with medium breasts around the C-Cup, and her buttocks are quite large and stand out.

Zhang Fei was deemed the third dryad woman to be the most attractive, with her long white hair resembling a tulip, bangs adorning her forehead, and tulip branches and flowers covering her entire body. Her expression seemed calm but shy, but her eyes were a little unusual because they were red in contrast to her hair.

She was also no different from a girl in her early twenties, but her breasts were a little disappointing as they were quite small at A-Cup.

”Princess!” The three of them exclaimed with joy as they ran over to Janette before hugging her with feelings of longing, especially since they hadnʼt seen each other for quite a while. ”Princess! Youʼre finally back! We missed you so much!”

ʼPrincess? Sheʼs a princess of the dryads, huh?ʼ Zhang Fei inwardly muttered in surprise; he really didnʼt expect that Janetteʼs status among the dryads was so high.

Janette herself looked so happy after seeing them, so she immediately hugged them tightly to vent the longing that had been buried deep in her heart for the past two years. ”Iʼm glad the three of you are still alive! I also miss the three of you, Milia, Cassia, and Viola.”

”Whoa! Iʼm glad youʼre safe, Princess.” As she sobbed, Viola spoke.

Milia added. ”I thought I would never see you again, Princess.”

”We missed you and always worried about you, Princess.” Cassia said it quietly and hugged Janette tighter.

Janette let out a soft sigh before releasing them from her embrace, looking at the three with a smile. ”Iʼm sorry, Iʼm only back now, but Iʼll be staying here for quite a while.”

”Thatʼs good! You have to tell us about your life in the human world, Princess.” However, they were shocked as soon as they looked at Zhang Fei, especially since he was still in his human form.

Viola then inquired. ”Who is he, Princess? Why did you bring a human into our forest?”

”If the Queen knew of the human presence in our forest, she would be very angry, Princess.” Millia added.

Unlike them, Cassia continued to observe Zhang Fei with a curious gaze before speaking. ”Itʼs my first time seeing a human, but he doesnʼt look bad, unlike in the stories of the ancestors, Princess.”

”Zhang Fei is the little brother of my human friend, and it was his big sister who helped me when I was seriously injured two years ago.” Janette smiled as she explained, then introduced them to Zhang Fei, pointing at each one individually. ”The blonde one is Viola, the white-haired one is Cassia, and the last one is Milia.”

Zhang Fei nodded to them while saying this to Janette. ”It seems there are a lot of things that youʼre still hiding from us, and I really didnʼt expect you to be a Princess of the Dryads.”

Janette smiled bitterly at that, as she was indeed still hiding many things from them. ”Iʼm sorry, Fei. I-”

”Sigh, you donʼt need to explain anything; I myself still keep many secrets from them.” Zhang Fei said it with a shake of his head.

Cassia, Viola, and Milia looked at Zhang Fei curiously but also suspiciously. According to their ancestorsʼ stories, humans were always rude and arrogant, and they often killed their kin. However, in their eyes, Zhang Fei appeared kind and friendly.

”Thank you.” Janette was grateful for his understanding, and she told the three dryads about Zhang Feiʼs other identity. ”Anyway, he isnʼt just a human; heʼs also a demon like us.”

”Huh!?” Viola, Cassia, and Milia were shocked to hear that, especially since he was clearly a human, and they also didnʼt smell the demon scent from his body. ”Are you kidding us, Princess? How can he be a demon?”

After hearing them, Zhang Fei smiled at them, and he immediately transformed himself into an Incubus, which made the three dryads even more shocked.

”Incubus!” The three of them shouted loudly, and many tree roots shot towards Zhang Fei from the ground, but Janette stopped them once again.

”All right, you guys can stop attacking Zhang Fei because he is not part of them, and he is really a human that I brought from the outside world, but he is also an incubus, as you guys have seen for yourself.”

”Is that true, Princess?”

”Hey! Iʼm really a human, but Iʼm also an Incubus.” Zhang Fei then turned himself into a white fox. ”See? Iʼm a fox-beast, too.”

”Eh!?” The three Dryads were stunned to see Zhang Feiʼs fox form, and they could feel that his aura was completely different from his incubus form, which actually made them feel relaxed.

Subconsciously, Cassia walked up to Zhang Fei, picked him up into her arms, and caressed his white fur. ”Wow! Your fur is really smooth, much different from the fur of the demon beasts in this realm. Moreover, your fur is also much whiter than my hair, and I like it so much!”

Viola and Milia then approached them and stroked Zhang Feiʼs fur as they giggled happily like ordinary girls, causing him to sigh helplessly, especially since they were no different from Chu Qing and the others.

”This is my first time seeing a human who is also a demon and a beast.” Viola said this as she continued to caress Zhang Feiʼs fur.

”True.” Milia nodded in agreement, and she also continued to caress his fur. ”His fur is really smooth, and I canʼt stop myself from stroking him.”

Even though Dryad was a demon, the three of them looked so happy caring for Zhang Feiʼs fur, demonstrating that they had a good side and were friends with nature.

Janette was amused to see the three female dryads acting like that, but Zhang Fei himself seemed to really enjoy their actions. However, someone suddenly shouted at them. ”What are you guys doing?”

Soon, a mature female Dryad appeared in front of them. Unlike Janette, she has long green hair, and her face is quite pretty and mature. She had green eyes, and her nose looked sharp, but her wide lips looked pale. However, her body looks completely tree-like, including her hair, which looks like small tree branches.

Even her fingers were sharp, and her entire body was like a large tree trunk, but her breasts were no less large than hers.

”Queen Lillea!” Cassia, Milia, and Viola immediately kneeled before her.

”En.” Lillea nodded at them, but she was stunned for a moment after she saw Janette, so she immediately went over to her and hugged her tightly. ”You are finally back here, my daughter. Iʼm glad that youʼre safe, and you also look so healthy now.”

”Ugh! Let me go, mother! Youʼre hugging me too tight!” Janette said it irritably, pushing her mother away. ”Sooner or later, I will die from your embrace, Mother!”

Lillea giggled at Janetteʼs words. ”You three get up.”

”Yes, my Queen.” They answered in unison and immediately stood up.

”Oh? Where did this white fox come from?” Lillea inquired as she observed Zhang Fei, who was in Cassiaʼs arms.

When she heard her question, Janette immediately explained it to Lillea. ”Mother, Zhang Fei is my saviorʼs little brother, and it was Zhang Yue who helped me when I arrived on earth two years ago; otherwise, I would have died if she hadnʼt taken care of my injuries at that time. Besides, he is very strong, so I brought her here to help us.”

”Hmm?” Lillea took Zhang Fei seriously, particularly since she was unable to feel his power due to their differences, so she was skeptical if he could help them. Furthermore, their enemies were more than just random demons; they were three of the twelve rulers.

”Are you going to keep letting Cassia hug you, Fei?”

”Ha ha!” Zhang Fei laughed as he jumped down from Cassiaʼs arms and returned to his human form, especially considering the negative reactions they had previously shown when they saw his incubus form.

”A human?” Lillea was shocked to see Zhang Fei, as she could sense that he was now a pure human. ”How could he change from a beast to a human?”

”Mother, Zhang Feiʼs true identity is human, but he is also a beast, as you saw just now.

Lillea still couldnʼt digest her daughterʼs answer, especially since it was impossible for someone to be a beast and a human at the same time.

”Princess is telling the truth, My Queen.” Cassia joined in, and the other two female dryads also nodded to her. ”Apart from his human and fox forms, he also has a demon form, which is truly authentic because he has a demon scent on his body.”

Lillea didnʼt say anything; she walked over to Zhang Fei and groped his body while muttering. ”How unbelievable! Iʼve lived for over a thousand years, but Iʼve never heard of or seen a human, demon, or beast in one body.”

”Hey, thatʼs because Iʼm unique.” Zhang Fei grabbed Lilleaʼs hands and pushed them away, noting that her hands were too rough, akin to tree bark.

Lillea was stunned for a moment by Zhang Feiʼs action, especially since no human had ever touched her before, let alone a male human. Cassia, Viola, and Milia were surprised to see that. They knew that she didnʼt like being touched by anyone, including the rulers who coveted her, and she always got angry if that happened.

ʼDamn it! It seems that my mother has also fallen under Zhang Feiʼs deadly charm!ʼ Janette inwardly cursed angrily before grabbing her motherʼs hand. ”Anyway, letʼs get into the city first; I missed the others too.”

Lillea nodded in agreement and led them into the half-destroyed city, but the three female dryads immediately returned to their respective positions, especially since their job was to monitor the situation around the city.

[Quest rank: starter.]

[Status: Done.]

[Reward: A starter pack sent to inventory.]

As soon as Zhang Fei stepped inside Forest City, two notifications instantly appeared in his mind. ʼOpen the starter pack, Mei.ʼ

[Okay!] Mei immediately opened the starter pack.

[You obtained the Demon Extermination Sword X1.]

[You obtained the Light Guardian Armor X1.]

[You obtained the Winged Shoes X1.]

”Cough… Cough…” After reading the name of the sword and armor, Zhang Fei instantly choked. ʼWhat the heck! I am a demon myself, but I was given the Demon Extermination Sword and also the Light Guardian Armor.ʼ

[Hehe!] Mei chuckled at that. [Even though you are a demon, you can still use that sword, Master. Furthermore, the sword will be useful against the other demons, and the armor will provide extra protection for you from them. [As for those shoes, they will significantly increase your speed.]

ʼSigh, what grade are those three pieces of equipment, Mei?ʼ

[The Demon Extermination Sword is a soul weapon, but I donʼt know its grade because itʼs incomplete, Master. The Light Guardian Armor and Gale Wind Shoes, on the other hand, are Spirit Rank items.]

Zhang Fei nodded in understanding. ʼAll right, Iʼll check on those three later.ʼ
