Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1332: Chapter 1333: Crossing Miles to Pursue? Investment

Cheng Yaozu didn’t expect both Cheng Su and Ning Ge to be here. Instinctively, he wanted to hide the flowers behind his back, but they were such a big bunch, bright and obvious, hiding them was impossible, which made it look even more suspicious. So he just boldly embraced them and walked over.

”Hey, long time no see! How come you’re all here? What a coincidence!” Cheng Yaozu raised his hand, laughing heartily, though it was unclear what he was trying to cover up.

Cheng Su glanced at the flowers in his hand with a half-smile and said, ”Yes, quite the coincidence. I didn’t know you were so familiar with our factory, coming here without a word!” As she spoke, she glanced at Ying Xiaoya: ”Fourth Young Master Cheng, your thoughts have really traveled far and wide!”

”Uh, wasn’t I planning to surprise you?” Cheng Yaozu explained.

”A surprise for us, or for someone else?” Cheng Su drew out her words, looking at Ying Xiaoya again.

Ying Xiaoya blushed, her heart inexplicably fluttering. This interruption saved her from crying, and she turned her head away to dab at her eyes with a tissue.

Cheng Yaozu, slightly embarrassed by the teasing, coughed and said, ”All the same.” He then offered the flowers to Ying Xiaoya: ”For you, picked them on the way. Didn’t you say you liked these?”

Ying Xiaoya was stunned, as she instinctively took them.

Ning Ge put a finger to his mouth and whistled loudly, winking at the two.

Ying Xiaoya’s face turned bright red, and she said, ”I never said that!” Yet she held onto the flowers, unwilling to let go.

Cheng Su saw through it and thought to herself that Cheng Yaozu had indeed come at the perfect time, a heaven-sent opportunity.

”If you don’t want them, just throw them away, they’re worthless anyway!” Cheng Yaozu said carelessly.

Ying Xiaoya replied, ”Yanmei likes them too, I’ll give them to her, she’ll put them in the office.” With that, without waiting for anyone to reply, she quickly ran into the office with the flowers.

This girl was shy!

Cheng Su covered her mouth, laughing, and asked, ”You didn’t just come straight here after getting off the train, did you? You must be really sincere, traveling so far to pursue a girl!”

Cheng Yaozu came over to sit down, and Ning Ge followed suit, sitting down as well.

”Of course not, I came to deliver the remittance to you guys!” Cheng Yaozu pulled a slip from his casual suit pocket and handed it over: ”There were too many things before, so I delayed until now. Here, this is our Cheng family’s investment in your company.”

Cheng Su raised an eyebrow as she took it, and seeing the number, her eyes widened. She handed it to Ning Ge.

Ning Ge glanced over it and said, ”Quite generous, huh!”

”If we’re going to do it, let’s do it big. We’ll have a market in the north and in the south, specifically for southern business.” Cheng Yaozu said.

Cheng Su replied, ”Isn’t that a bit ambitious? This is just a small food company.”

”If it’s already got momentum, small can become big. What, is your ambition not here?” Cheng Yaozu asked.

”Sort of.” Cheng Su shrugged.

Her ambitions indeed weren’t here, but in the hotel industry. She wanted to open a star-rated hotel in the future, but for now, she didn’t have enough capital, so she had to slowly build it up.

”We’ll talk about that later. Since you’re willing to invest, we certainly won’t refuse money that’s handed to us.” Cheng Su put away the remittance slip and said, ”As familiar as we are, clear accounts make good friends. We need to redistribute the shares. Since you’re here, let’s have a good discussion about the plan.”

As Cheng Yaozu said, even small companies can become big, depending on how it’s done. With capital injection, they certainly couldn’t miss this opportunity to make money. As for bigger ambitions, first, they had to lay the foundation with the most basic element—capital!
