Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1308: Chapter 1309: Daring Beyond Measure

Mother Qi applied some medicinal oil and quickly came to her senses. As soon as she woke up, she started slapping her thighs and wailing, first scolding Qi Fengping, then cursing that incorrigible convict who, even after being sent for re-education, still deceived the young girl.

Seeing Qi Fengping crying over there, she rushed over and hit her: ”You idiot, disgraceful thing, and you still have the face to cry! After doing such a shameful thing, you might as well die; just jump into the pond and drown, save us all the disgrace.”

”Then just kill me, beat me to death!” Qi Fengping retorted, displaying a completely reckless attitude.

”Kill you? Why would I feel sorry for that?” Mother Qi hit her without thinking.

Qi Fenglian couldn’t stand it anymore and quickly pulled her away, saying, ”Enough, mom, at this point, what good will hitting her do?”

”I even thought she gained weight, but it turns out... I must be senile, I never even suspected.” Mother Qi pounded her chest in regret.

Cheng Su couldn’t bear it any longer, only glancing at Father Qi, whose face was ashen, and asked, ”Dad, what do you think about this?”

As the head of the family, he naturally had to make the decision, and she dared not make a decision lightly.

”Speak up, how did you get involved, and when did you do such a disgraceful thing? What did he say? Make it clear!” Father Qi looked at Qi Fengping with eyes that were both indifferent and pained.

They had just celebrated a happy occasion at home, and this scandal had erupted before the joy had even faded; Father Qi could almost foresee the disgrace spreading and himself being drowned in public scorn.

If Zhou Qiang were to propose, that would be understandable; they could just get her married. But if he didn’t...

And Qi Fengping’s belly had grown so large without a trace of him; the man sentenced for re-education seemed to have left after Qingming, and it’s been so long that Father Qi had already lost hope.

Seeing Father Qi look as if he aged ten years in an instant, Cheng Su couldn’t help but think: where was the pride of two days ago? It was completely replaced by desolation!

A scandal like this in the family was impossible to be proud of; even her own face felt burning hot!

Seeing her father’s cold gaze, Qi Fengping dared not hide anything and told everything about her relationship with Zhou Qiang.

It was the usual melodramatic story; young girls with little exposure at the time, convinced when seeing someone was a college student and a cadre. Despite knowing he was connected to a crime, she’d believed him. Seeing how handsome and articulate he was, they naturally fell for each other.

Initially, Qi Fengping didn’t dare do anything with him, but this year, Zhou Qiang was about to finish his term and leave, and she couldn’t bear to part. In a careless moment, she let him succeed!

As for where they had their secret encounters without getting caught, Qi Fengping stammered as she spoke about it.

Turns out, it was at the old house.

Father Qi was furious, and unable to contain himself, he grabbed the teapot from the table and threw it at her: ”Disgraceful, daring to take him to the old house to fool around. Aren’t you afraid of the ancestors watching? We’ve raised and educated you like this, and this is how you repay us with such shamelessness? You disgrace!”

Qi Fengping screamed and dodged, bursting into tears again.

Cheng Su shook her head; how bold Qi Fengping was to think of such a thing. The old house was considered the ancestral home of the Qi family, quite secluded, and with the key, she went there to play wild lovebirds with Zhou Qiang; who would notice?

However, she truly was audacious, because the place was indeed where the ancestral tablets were enshrined.
