Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1328: Chapter 1329: Thank You for Your Hard Work

Cheng Su brought Qi Jianguo and Xiao Yun back to Qing City, first taking Xiao Yun to Qi Fenglian’s place. School was starting in a few days, and naturally, Xiao Yun would stay with Qi Fenglian.

Seeing her, Qi Fenglian asked about Qi Fengping’s condition. Hearing that she was slowly getting better, she sighed in relief and said, ”As long as she can figure things out herself, that’s good. The worst is if she gets stuck in a rut and can’t get out!”

Isn’t that true? Whether a person wants to be clear-headed or not depends on themselves, because no one can wake up someone pretending to be asleep!

After chatting with Qi Fenglian for a bit, she took Qi Jianguo back home. This was also Qi Jianguo’s first time at their house. Standing in the living room, he looked around, appearing slightly uneasy.

”Uncle, have a seat, make yourself at home. If you’re tired, you can take a shower first. I’ll have your brother bring some food back. Tonight, I’ll be lazy and won’t cook!” Cheng Su said with a smile.

Qi Jianguo quickly responded, ”Sister-in-law, you go about your business, I’ll manage on my own!”

Cheng Su then called Qi Taiguo’s office before tidying up the things they brought back.

Back home for over ten days, originally to happily celebrate for her brother-in-law, she hadn’t expected the trouble with Qi Fengping. Cheng Su felt emotionally exhausted and very tired from the past few days.

Lying on the bed and dozing for a while, she heard Qi Taiguo and Qi Jianguo talking outside the room. She sat up just as Qi Taiguo entered.

”Tired?” He walked over, looking at her face, ”How come I haven’t seen you for a few days, and your face looks rounder?”

Cheng Su hurriedly picked up the mirror from the cabinet, looking at herself, she said, ”I’ve been drinking a big bowl of the soup I made for Fengping every day, how could I not get rounder?”

”It’s good to be a bit rounder, it means good fortune!” Qi Taiguo chuckled.

Cheng Su glared at him and asked, ”Are your injuries healed? Let me see?” Saying this, she didn’t give him a chance to refuse, and directly started unbuttoning his shirt.

Qi Taiguo let her undo his buttons, exposing his back.

The bandage was already removed, and a large scar had formed on his back. Some parts had healed, with new skin grown, no longer looking the same as it once did!

Cheng Su felt heartbroken and said, ”This scar, I’m afraid it’ll be there for a lifetime!”

”It’s fine, what does it matter if it’s on the back? Anyone who’s been in the army has scars, some even have knife scars.” Qi Taiguo put his clothes back on and said.

Cheng Su still felt scared, holding his arm and resting her head on his shoulder.

”Being clingy again?” Qi Taiguo teased her.

”I’m so tired, can’t I lean on you a bit?” Cheng Su gave him a look.

Qi Taiguo pulled her in and said, ”I know, it’s been tough on you these past few days.”

Cheng Su took the initiative to help take care of Qi Fengping at home, which made him very grateful and touched. And he finally breathed a sigh of relief, afraid that Cheng Su would hold onto past grievances and not want to get close to the family.

”Then you have to treat me better from now on!” Cheng Su said softly.

”However you want it to be good, it’ll be good.” Qi Taiguo pinched her cheek with a smile, and then asked about Qi Fengping’s recovery.

Cheng Su said that it was going well and mentioned that Zhou Qiang’s ex-wife had called her about something.

Qi Taiguo frowned slightly, sneering, ”That’s why there’s no benefit in marrying someone so opportunistic.”

Cheng Su agreed, saying, ”I’m just worried that such a scumbag might harm someone else.”

”That would require him to have the ability to do so.”

Cheng Su raised an eyebrow, ”What did you do?”

Qi Taiguo thought for a moment, then whispered a few words in her ear. Cheng Su was amazed, he actually used his connections to make it so Zhou Qiang couldn’t get any job? Zhou Qiang and his lot must really hate him, but compared to a woman’s body and child, what does that matter?
