Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1327: Chapter 1328: Enlightenment

Considering the current situation of the Qi family, supporting one more university student is not a difficult task. It is rare for Qi Fengping to suggest repeating a year to take the university entrance exam again. Naturally, Cheng Su had no reason not to support her.

After asking about Qi Fengping’s determination and listening to her words, Cheng Su felt that she might have underestimated this girl a bit.

”With my situation now, rumors have definitely spread far and wide. In the village, I can’t hold my head up high, so I won’t stay here. I’ll leave and never come back here. But I have no skills; where can I go? I need to go to university, only then will I have a way out,” said Qi Fengping.

Since that was the case, then let her repeat a year; getting into university would be her own achievement.

Therefore, Cheng Su quickly conveyed her intentions to the family and also held a supportive opinion.

Father Qi was a bit surprised. Qi Jianguo directly moved all his notes and selected questions into Qi Fengping’s room.

Only Mother Qi muttered, ”For a girl, reaching high school is already remarkable. Why must she go to university? Once her health recovers, if she doesn’t stay at home, she should just go to work. Your sister-in-law has so many businesses; can’t she arrange a job for you?”

Going to university costs money and time. Finding a proper job and then looking for a partner... but looking for a partner is out of the question now, Mother Qi thought awkwardly.

Qi Fengping bit her lip and said nothing.

Cheng Su said, ”If she can graduate, it’s her ability, and it’s also a matter of pride for you, mother-in-law. Our family can afford it, and if she truly gets accepted, Taiguo and I will support her.”

Only then did Mother Qi stop speaking, and Qi Fengping felt a bit more grateful.

Cheng Su wasn’t just making empty promises. Getting a university degree is still a significant advantage these days. It doesn’t cost much, and if she can pass and catch the tail end of university enrollment, Qi Fengping will have a future. Why would Cheng Su and Qi Taiguo need to be responsible for her then?

As for living expenses, Cheng Su was never stingy with money. If Qi Fengping was determined, Cheng Su would support her.

Qi Taiguo also agreed wholeheartedly, especially after Qi Fengping had been through such a major event and still thought this way; it was natural for him to support her.

Thus, the decision for Qi Fengping to repeat a year was finalized.

She organized her studies again, and while Cheng Su was still at home, she helped Qi Fengping analyze her weaknesses, focusing on those areas. Meanwhile, Qi Fengping worked on her health. The situation visibly improved day by day.

Cheng Su observed quietly, realizing that her sister-in-law had become enlightened.

Soon it was the day for Qi Jianguo to report to Guangcheng, which had already been delayed by two days.

Cheng Su was also about to start her school term in a few days. Planning to see off her brother-in-law, she packed up and prepared to return to Qing City with him, accompanied by Xiao Yun.

Mother Qi was filled with reluctance, but knowing it was for her son’s future, she could only let go.

Father Qi repeatedly reminded Qi Jianguo to be careful, study well, and sent them off.

”You all go back,” Cheng Su waved.

After getting on the bus, Father Qi and Mother Qi hugged Xiao Bao and returned home. The house felt quiet and both felt a bit lonely.

”It used to feel noisy at home, but now it feels too quiet!” Mother Qi murmured, her lips moving slightly.

Father Qi felt the same way. Could it be that as people age, they become afraid of loneliness and silence?

”The children are grown!” he said, hands clasped behind his back as he went inside.

The children have grown, their wings are strong, and naturally, they will fly far away.

”Thankfully, you have Little Bao to keep grandma company!” Mother Qi teased Xiao Bao, who giggled in response.
