Chapter 944: Are you ready?

The city of Rowan, located in the south of the Federation, was the first to be hit by the Anomaly. A huge wall of fire shrouded in black smoke was rapidly approaching, reaching the borders of the city and engulfing the urban jungle.

Idan, in the form of the Alpha of Fire, felt the incredible power of the Fiery Anomaly. It is not so much in the power of the flame, as in its huge number and coverage. Everything that the flames reached burned up, becoming fuel, intensifying the fire, and man-made buildings were no exception.

Despite her lack of proximity to the element of fire, Lina could see through the fiery dome created by Idan and the approaching wall of fire. She couldnʼt help but be thrilled by what she saw. Even for her, a being from another world, it was incredible to watch something so grand.

The remaining residents below, due to the rising temperature and heat, as well as the fiery dome, were at their limit.

When the wall of fire reached the dome erected by Idan, it trembled, causing small tremors and a powerful rumble.

Residents, startled by the sudden shaking, fell to the ground and covered their ears. Idan, as soon as he felt the wall of fire begin to absorb his barrier, quickly assumed the ”Flame Spirit Form.”

His whole body burst into flames.

The element of fire was the most powerful of his arsenal of several elements, and in the ”Flame Spirit Form” he became the flame itself, and all the flames around him obeyed his will.

As his power spread around, the wall of fire that had previously absorbed the barrier stopped doing so. Obeying Idanʼs will, she began to feed the barrier with her power, making it even more durable.

”As I expected, it worked!” exclaimed Idan happily. Not wanting to miss this chance, he pulled out several ”Small High-quality Soul Crystals” and began to absorb their energy along with the energy of fire to repair his damaged soul and Stars.

The beasts, driven by the instinct of evolution, penetrated the Anomaly one by one. As they ran past Rowan City, they sensed the presence of someone powerful, who began to absorb the desired energy of the fire element.

Despite their fear of the will of this creature, which effortlessly subdued the elemental flame and greedily consumed it, the displeased beasts began to move towards him, wanting to see and possibly eliminate him.

Soon, the first beasts began to penetrate Idanʼs fire barrier, seeking to find the culprit.

Idan, noticing this, stopped abruptly.

”Donʼt stop,” Linaʼs voice suddenly reached him. ”Keep doing what youʼve been doing.”

”I can handle these beasts on my own, you donʼt need to be distracted,” Lina said confidently, unsheathing her sword.

Her whole body sparkled with purple lightning, and, leaving behind a spark of lightning, she disappeared from her place with a clap of thunder.

”Oh!” — Idan was amazed by Linaʼs speed.

Idan himself had an affinity with the lightning element and also followed the Path of Sword. As much as he wanted to watch Linaʼs prowess in both these areas, he decided to listen to her words and focus on what was really important to him at the moment.

Thanks to the efforts of the members of the Titan Guild and the second portal, the evacuation in Istel City was coming to an end. Currently, almost all the Awakened Ones were doing a re-search of the city, trying to find survivors who might have been overlooked.

”Hmm... it seems there arenʼt many residents left,” Esma noted.

Meanwhile, Arabelʼs attention was focused outside the Ice Barrier, where the Storm Anomaly was about to reach the barrier.

This was the first Anomaly she had seen live with her own eyes.

Up until that moment, she had only observed the Anomalies through the screen, and now Arabel could say with certainty that the images did not convey the true power and danger that the Anomalies conceal.

Taking a deep breath, Arabel turned to Esme and asked:

”Are you ready?”

”Iʼm already tired of waiting,” Esma replied with fearlessness. ”And you? Are you ready?”

”To be honest, Iʼm not sure, but as long as my older sister is with me, I know we can handle it,” Arabel smiled at Esme.

”Hehe, of course we can handle it, be sure,” — Esma supported her, adding:

”Besides, thanks to our assistants, it wonʼt take long.”

Crackle! Boom! Crackle!

As soon as the Storm Anomaly reached the Ice Barrier, the ground trembled, and the entire ice was covered with many cracks. This was accompanied by a deafening roar and the howling of powerful winds that penetrated through these cracks.

Esma cursed and instantly used her ability to fill the cracks with water.

”Sis!”

”I know,” — Arabel replied, freezing the water in the cracks and restoring the barrierʼs integrity.

Following the wind, a huge wave of water crashed onto the ice barrier, the pressure of which began to test the barrierʼs strength again.

If it hadnʼt been for Esma and her Doppelganger, who eased the water pressure, Arabel realized that she wouldnʼt have been able to hold the barrier for long without resorting to Spirit Form.

Arabel, Esma, and her doppelganger began working together to quickly repair the damage to the barrier, containing the onslaught of the Anomaly.

As soon as the cracks appeared, they were repaired before the water could break through them.

Bam!

Suddenly, something crashed into the barrier, punching a huge hole and penetrating inside.

”Damn, thatʼs not enough for us yet!” exclaimed Esma, focusing on the place of the breakthrough to prevent the water from rushing in. Arabel followed her, sealing the gap. They were completely focused on closing the gap in the barrier, ignoring the beast that had broken through the barrier and was falling directly on the residents of the city below.

But before the beast had even flown half the way, an accurate deadly arrow found it and pierced through, creating a huge hole in its body and taking its life.

And before his body could fall, a huge hand caught him.

”Now itʼs on top, huh?” — Rachel looked up, turning on new territories for her hunting, until her husbandʼs huge body covered the inhabitants below, protecting them.

At this time, in the Kingdom, Aliya, who was acting as Lucinda, was watching all five open portals. She exuded the power of Light as she watched the stream of incoming refugees.

Trembling and exhausted residents of Istel City were coming out of two portals. Of the other two, there are people from Rowan, sweaty and red from the unbearable heat. And only the calm and surprised residents of Norwood came out of the last portal.
