Chapter 934: No one can run away from me

”It is important to prevent the imbalance of the energy contained within the sphere in attempts to suppress or contain it. Otherwise, the chaotic energy released by the sphere can destabilize the portal, and then it will not be possible to transfer it without casualties,” Sierra said, based on her observations.

Arabel nodded, taking note of her findings.

”Where did you send this sphere?” asked Essora, who was not aware of this part of the plan and could not hide her curiosity.

”In Limbo,” — Sierra replied. ”Or rather, into the Lake of the Dead.”

”Oh!” exclaimed Essora, who had heard of this place.

”Donʼt worry, the Lake of the Dead is a special place, just like all the other nine Forbidden Zones. Such a sphere will not cause any harm,” Sierra said confidently.

”Youʼd better tell us about your success,” she suggested.

Sierra had just voiced what everyone was interested in.

”I was able to analyze the sphere and now I can fine—tune my powers to seal such spheres for a longer time and even adjust them so that they explode at the right time,” Essora shared.

”If I were a Diamond Rank and had an energy source, I would be able to completely seal them,” Essora added her suggestion, much to the surprise of the older Valkyries and Arabel herself.

”Unfortunately, your rank is only platinum, but thatʼs enough for us right now,” Arabel said. ”You did a great job, Essora.”

”We are also counting on your help if we encounter something like this in the near future. Now go and get some rest.”

”Donʼt worry, your contribution will definitely be appreciated, and you will receive your reward later.”

”Hehe, thank you, Leader,” Essora said with a smile on her face.

”Thatʼs it, then Iʼm going back,” Lucinda said.

”Thank you for your help, big sister,” Arabel thanked her.

”Donʼt mention it, contact me if you need help again,” Lucinda said with a wave of her hand, and disappeared, returning to her duties.

”I doubt they will take any action anytime soon, but you should still be on your guard,” Sierra warned.

”I understand,” — Arabel agreed.

”What worries me the most is that they know where we are hiding, and Iʼm not sure if the Kingdomʼs barrier will be able to withstand a massive attack,” with that, she lifted her gaze and looked at the barrier that protected them from the outside world.

Essora, hearing Arabelʼs concern, was also worried. This place has become a new home and a safe haven for her and her brother. They met with a kind and respectful attitude here, and Essora didnʼt want it all to be ruined.

”Do you think theyʼll try to invade here?” asked Sierra.

Arabel nodded dumbly.

”Heh, well, let them try,” Sierra said defiantly.

”If something like this happens, trust your big sister, little sister. Iʼll take care of everyone who dares to come here.”

”No one can run away from me,” Sierra said confidently.

As a result of the failed attack, Redclay finally got the long-awaited respite.

Back in the living room, Arabel decided to check on the situation.

”Dan and my avatar should be there soon, but they have very little time,” Arabel thought, looking at the southern and western territories.

”The Federation has already abandoned these cities, so we shouldnʼt expect any help from them in organizing the evacuation.”

Due to the unwillingness to leave these cities, the Guilds will have to act on their own.

”Do we really have to move some of the existing groups there?” Arabel wondered, disapproving of the idea of a strong division into many groups. This will not only complicate the process of managing and controlling everyone, but also significantly weaken the overall strength and protection of the groups.

Arabel wondered, stroking her chin thoughtfully.

”Queen,” Leoʼs voice rang out, interrupting her thoughts.

”Whatʼs wrong, Leo?” she asked.

”I received a message from the Eye of the Net,” Leo replied. ”Darkia wants to talk to you.”

”Darkia? Now?” asked Arabel, frowning. ”What does she need at a time like this?”

Leo just shrugged, indicating that he didnʼt know the answer to that question.

After some thought, Arabel said:

”Okay, put me through to her.”

Hearing her words, Leo nodded and, turning to the screens, began to type something. Just ten seconds later, a separate screen appeared in front of Arabel, on which she again saw a familiar woman with long black hair and eyes as dark as the abyss.

”Yo-ho, Arabel,” — Darkia greeted her, raising her hand. But her emotionless voice gave the whole moment a certain strangeness and even a bit of horror.

”Iʼm very busy, so letʼs get straight to the point,” Arabel was not in the mood for Darkiaʼs games.

Seeing the seriousness on Arabelʼs face, Darkia made a pained face.

”If you have nothing more to say, then Iʼm hanging up,” Arabel added.

”Wait, wait,” Darkia said, having stopped pretending.

”I know youʼre having problems,” she said.

”Tch!” — Arabel clicked her tongue, remembering the spy in her head.

”I also know that you need help evacuating residents in the south and west of the Federation.”

Arabel stared at Darkia, trying to figure out what she was up to.

”So what?” she asked.

”Well, if you donʼt mind, Iʼm ready to offer my help and send my people who are currently in the south and west of the Federation,” Darkia voiced her proposal.

Arabel didnʼt answer immediately, she really thought about Darkiaʼs suggestion.

While the Third Disaster was in progress, a truce had been established between the Kingdom and Darkia, and neither side was supposed to harm the other.

”What do you want in exchange for your help?” asked Arabel, not believing that Darkia had offered her support out of the goodness of her heart. comment

”I know that if I say that I just want to help you, not only will you not believe me, but you will also suspect that I am up to something, so I will not say it,” Darkia said with her usual wide smile on her face.

”Itʼs simple: I help you when you need help, so if I need help in the future, I want you to lend me a helping hand,” Darkia voiced her offer.

”Donʼt turn down my offer, Arabel Fein,” Darkia continued. ”Believe me, with the help of my people, you will be able to save many more civilians than you will try to do it on your own.”
