Chapter 906: But what exactly are they up to?

”Felicia, take another look at the city,” Arabelʼs avatar asked before leaving. ”Perhaps the Awakened Ones are not alone, and there are others.”

”Okay,” — Felicia agreed, setting off to look for him. At this time, her doppelganger was patrolling the outskirts of the city, checking if there were any residents left there.

In Ironcreek, the evacuation was proceeding at an accelerated pace, and compared to Redclay, it should have been completed soon, before the anomaly reached the city.

Octo was actively emptying the cityʼs supplies. The fox cub had a lot of magic bags with him, and he had already made several trips back to the Kingdom to unload everything he had collected.

The same thing happened with Coco at Redclay.

The two little foxes worked tirelessly.

In the Kingdom, after receiving information from Idan about the events in Nordist and Redclay, Arabel fell into deep thought.

”Without a doubt, they have begun to act,” she concluded, realizing that creatures from other worlds have taken active action against their guild.

”But what exactly are they up to?” Arabel wondered, trying to figure out their intentions.

”They probably have already realized that we are connected to the Eye of the Net, and now they are using alternative ways of communication,” she suggested, given that neither the Eye of the Net nor Leo have found any traces of communication between beings from other worlds through the net.

Distracted from her thoughts, Arabel used the {Whisper Talisman} to send a message to Milena.

--------------------

MBQ: {How are the negotiations progressing?}

Twilight Empress: {Iʼve contacted Irina. She discussed our proposal with her contacts in the Federation Council.}

Twilight Empress: {We are now awaiting the official position of the entire Federation Council.}

MBQ: {Okay, keep me posted.}

--------------------

”If the Federation Council agrees, then the residents of the other three cities can be sent straight to the capital,” Arabel whispered.

”Nordist will not be able to accommodate more than two cities.”

The guild, without thinking twice, decided that in such a difficult time, in order to save the cities, it was better not to come into conflict with the Federation, but, on the contrary, to cooperate with it.

Idan was sure that for the sake of enhancing his reputation, the Federation would not refuse such an offer. The Kingdom will take over the evacuation of the cities, and the Federation will not interfere with them and, possibly, put pressure on creatures from other worlds.

At the same time, the Federation can improve its reputation by taking credit for saving the inhabitants of the cities.

A great reputation wasnʼt that important to the Kingdom, and it was willing to sacrifice it to save more cities.

In addition, the Kingdom could reduce tensions with the Federation in this way. At least until the end of the Third Disaster.

”Even if the Federation Council agrees, it is unlikely that Creatures from Other worlds will stop acting against us,” Arabel reasoned, realizing the reality of the situation.

”We need to be prepared for any unexpected attack from them,” she added.

With these thoughts, Arabel sent messages to Yara.

--------------------

MBQ: {Yara, move closer to the city center. Residents of the outskirts have already been evacuated.}

Fox Queen: {Accepted.}

--------------------

After receiving Yaraʼs confirmation, Arabel carefully looked at the map. Her gaze settled on the next city that was closest to the anomaly, Norwood.

”Hailey must be there by now.”

Then she turned her attention to the third city in the vicinity — Borefield.

”Esma has probably already reached it, too,” she suggested.

After texting both groups, Arabel made sure that they had already arrived in these cities and had begun scouting.

Following the instructions they received, both groups changed their uniforms so that no one would guess their membership in the Kingdom Guild.

”Given that these cities are the closest to the anomaly, creatures from other worlds can easily figure out where our next target is. If they canʼt do anything in Ironcreek, theyʼll probably choose these cities as their next targets,” Arabel continued to ponder.

”And the same can be said about the East,” Arabelʼs gaze went to the eastern part of the Federation, where the city of Grayvale was located. This city was the next after Radclay, the closest to the eastern anomaly.

”Yulayaʼs group has probably already reached Grayvale.”, — She thought.

”Think, Belle, think,” — Arabel repeated to herself, overcome by a slight excitement. She was trying to figure out the true intentions of Creatures from other worlds.

”Creatures of Light, Creatures of Water, Creatures of Darkness, Creatures of Earth, and possibly Creatures of Fire,” — Arabel listed possible opponents.

Of all these creatures, they had the greatest enmity with the Creatures of Light and Darkness.

As for the Creatures of Water, Earth and Fire, during the events when Arabel was trapped in the Dark System, Idan, Ned and Bera had already killed one representative of each of them, which can be considered the beginning of the conflict.

”Apart from the Creatures of Light and Darkness, there shouldnʼt be so many other creatures,” — Arabel continued to ponder. ”The gate leading to their worlds is not on the Central Continent, and now, during the Disaster, their main forces should be concentrated on their continents.”

”Therefore, our main opponents will be the Creatures of Light and Darkness.”

”But, according to Milena, Irina, being the leader of one faction of Creatures of Light, is not aware of what they are up to.”

Remembering this, Arabel thought for a moment about the heir of the dark dragon.

”I wonder what happened to him?” she asked herself once again, a little intrigued by what fate befell this unlucky and anxious dragon, who was so unlucky to encounter her.

”I hope he didnʼt get pregnant like a hero after using the potion I gave him combined with the aphrodisiac candle.” Arabel felt uneasy, remembering how she had tricked and framed this dragon. However, she did not regret what she had done.

Putting aside these thoughts, she returned to studying the current situation throughout the Federation.

Soon after, she learned about the Guildʼs first encounter with creatures from other worlds.

And the first one to encounter them was Ned in the city of Nordist.
