Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 896: Free from all shackles

[Champion]

Once again, a monotonous voice rang out, addressing Lina.

”System!” she finally remembered who or what that voice belonged to.

Her heart began to beat faster.

A spark of hope appeared in the depths of her despair, and Lina decided to grab onto it.

After all, she has not forgotten whose ”champion” she became and where this System came from.

Ever since Lina accepted Arabelʼs offer to become her champion, she, like Nemo, found herself connected to the System.

Lina remembered Nemoʼs words that it was ”this” System that helped her avatarʼs daughter find a new body and be reborn into a baby, just like baby Rizzy.

Considering this, Lina had every reason to believe and hope for the Systemʼs help, without denying or resisting it.

She realized that she couldnʼt handle it all alone. She needed support and help.

A mentor who would show her the right path.

The fact that it drowned out the voices only increased Linaʼs hope and faith in the System.

[Champion]

[Who are you?] — The System started.

[Valkyrieʼs daughter?]

[The daughter of a Sword Hero?]

[Another Championʼs partner?]

[Mother?]

[Which of these do you associate yourself with?]

Instead of helping, the System started asking Lina questions. Lina, who was waiting for help, was stunned for a moment. But then she started thinking about the issue of the System.

”Who am I?” she asked herself the question she had asked herself many times before.

Yes, she was born in the union of the avatar of the Lightning Valkyrie and the man who eventually became the Sword Hero.

She inherited her motherʼs bloodline.

Lina was born as a Lightning Valkyrie.

As her thoughts turned to this, she heard the voice of the System.

[No matter how much you deny and hate, you are your motherʼs daughter]

[Youʼre a Valkyrie], System stated, leaving no doubt.

[Lightning Valkyrie]

To her surprise, Lina did not deny this statement, but, on the contrary, accepted it.

”Iʼm a Valkyrie,” she said to herself.

And at that moment, she felt something stir inside her.

What Lina had been suppressing and denying for so long seemed to respond to her words.

[Youʼre your fatherʼs daughter]

[You are the daughter of the Sword Hero]

[But you are not the shadow of the Sword Hero, you are a flame born from his sparks]

[His fame is the chains on your hands, the fear of disappointment is the poison in your blood]

[Your fatherʼs sword is his sword]

[Your fate is in your hands, as is the sword in your hands.]

”My sword,” — Lina said, gripping the hilt of her sword tightly.

The sword, as if catching the emotions of the master, made a ringing sound of metal in response.

Lina, hearing this sound, smiled, feeling her connection with the nascent will of the sword grow stronger.

The Systemʼs words had a greater impact on Lina than her own thoughts and the words of others.

This was facilitated by the hope that flared up in Linaʼs heart in a moment of despair, as well as her belief in the miracle of the System.

Lina noticed that the almost-vanished path leading up had begun to materialize again after she accepted a part of herself.

It was still very fragile and unstable.

It was obvious.

Lina had just begun to accept herself, and the path in front of her showed how precarious her new condition was.

To strengthen it, she decided not to stand still and took the first step, then the second and the third.

The path was shaking under her feet, which made Lina have to make an effort to keep her balance and not fall.

As she leisurely walked up the fragile path, the System asked her questions.

[Whoʼs Nemo to you?]

[Partner?]

[Lover?]

[Your daughterʼs father?]

These new questions made Lina stop. Her face was flushed.

Nemo was nothing to her old self, but to her avatar, he was everything: boyfriend, lover, and father to her unborn daughter.

After the death of her avatar, Lina accepted her avatarʼs memories, making them part of her personality.

Her own identity and the avatarʼs identity were mixed up.

And the one who was standing here now was the new Lina — not the one who grew up imprisoned on the Celestial Continent, nor the one who lived and loved, but a mixture of both of these personalities.

The new Lina saw Izzy as a reflection of herself in the past. Knowing what she had to go through, she didnʼt want ”her” daughter to experience something like that.

”Izzy deserves a better life,” she said to herself.

[Your daughter inherited your bloodline], the System reminded.

[She, like you, is a Lightning Valkyrie]

[Knowing this, will you still dislike your bloodline?]

[Will you hate your daughter too?]

[What would you say to her if she asks about it when she grows up?]

The Systemʼs questions hit home.

Izzy really had the Lightning Valkyrie bloodline, just like Lina.

Remembering her childhood and her so-called mother, Lina did not want to be like her.

”No! Izzy deserves the mother I once wanted to have, but never got,” Lina replied.

This realization, the acceptance of her own Valkyrie bloodline, resonated even more strongly within her.

At the same time, the fragile path beneath her feet began to gain stability.

After some silence, the System turned to Lina again with a question:

[The champion. Tell me, who is Nemo to you?]

Lina was lost in memories of her meetings with him. Not into her avatarʼs memories, but into the ones that happened after she became the new Lina.

She remembered how Nemo, having no memories, had protected her. I remembered my meeting with my daughter and the last days of their journey together. I remembered their joint training and discussions about the Way of the Sword.

Considering the emotions her avatar was experiencing, Lina confessed to herself:

”I like him.”

”Yes, I love him and I want to be with him.”

”I... want to experience what my other half went through,” Lina confessed, blushing.

”I want to start a family with him, like Idan and Arabel did.”

One by one, Lina revealed her secret desires that she had previously kept to herself.

With that, the path beneath her feet became smoother.

However, at the same moment, Lina remembered the words of the elder Valkyries about the prohibition of love.

With the acceptance of her Valkyrie bloodline, she was gripped by the fear that other Valkyries would start hunting them, and Nemo would be in danger.

As soon as she thought about it and began to doubt, the path under her feet, which had just gained firmness, began to tremble and break again.

At that moment, Lina heard numerous whispers again.

[Champion],” the System said, drowning out the whispers and attracting Linaʼs attention.

[No one can forbid you to love], the System declared.

[Especially the ones youʼve broken off contact with]

[They donʼt have the right to judge all Valkyries]

[Their voice is not the law]

These words touched Linaʼs deepest feelings.

”Indeed, they canʼt tell me what to do or who to love,” she said confidently.

And as if by magic, the support under her feet, which had just collapsed, became strong again.

[Youʼve broken the shackles that were holding you back] The System continued.

[Youʼre free now]

[Free from all shackles]

[You can choose your own path, unlimited by anything]

[You are free to choose who to love and who to hate]

[You are a free Valkyrie who loves]

Every word of the System echoed in Linaʼs mind, and she completely agreed with each of these statements.

Lina felt as if something inside her was taking shape and was about to burst out and declare itself to the whole world.

[Tell me, Champion, are you ready to be Rebirth?] — the System asked.

The word ”rebirth” seemed to echo in Linaʼs head.

”Rebirth?” she asked in her mind, not believing her ears. Once upon a time, she had already experienced rebirth and established a connection with the Valkyrie Bloodline Domain, becoming an integral part of it.

However, by cutting off her wings, she severed all ties with this Domain. Lina couldnʼt figure out if the System was offering to restore her connection to the Valkyrie Bloodline Domain or if it was about something completely different.

Her doubts lasted only a few seconds before she gave her answer.:

”Yes, Iʼm ready.”

As soon as these words were spoken, a powerful lightning energy burst out of her body, which engulfed a significant part of the mountain.
