Chapter 893 - 894: Whole, huh?

”Thank you, Aliya,” Lina thanked her healer, sitting down.

”Do you want to eat?” Aliya asked, but Lina shook her head negatively.

She didnʼt feel like eating.

Her mind was preoccupied with the ordeal and everything that had happened to her.

She also wondered if Nemoʼs voice was just a figment of her imagination, or if she had actually heard him.

”As you wish,” Aliya said, finishing with the treatment, and returned back to the campfire, leaving Lina alone with her thoughts.

Lina turned her gaze back to the mountain, and then to the inscription on the stone arch.

”The one who rises must be whole. The shattered one will crumble to dust.”

”Whole, huh?” — Lina whispered, trying to figure out why she had failed the trial.

She was the epitome of contradictions.

On the one hand, she hated her bloodline and even cut off her wings in an effort to get rid of it.

On the other hand, she was afraid of disappointing her father, the Sword Hero. She loved and deeply respected him, and it weighed on her at the same time.

The fear of not justifying the fatherʼs hopes and also shaming him in the eyes of others, that he has such an incompetent daughter.

Thanks to her avatarʼs memories, Lina realized a long time ago that she liked her own avatarʼs boyfriend. But she tried to hide her feelings and was a little afraid that Nemo would not accept her.

The fact that he didnʼt remember her avatar both pleased and disappointed Lina.

As for baby Izzy, the daughter of her own avatar, Lina saw her own reflection in her.

While Lina was lost in her thoughts, Aliya settled down by the campfire and happily took out a new dish from her magic bag. She started warming it up and slowly enjoyed the taste, watching Lina.

It was one of the most wonderful discoveries she had made when she came to another world. Since then, Aliya has turned into a real gourmet who loves delicious food.

She couldnʼt get enough of the great taste and delicate aroma of these dishes. After all, they not only pleased her with their taste, but also gave her strength and an influx of mana, which helped restore her strength and even slowly cultivate.

While enjoying her meal, she raised an eyebrow in surprise when she saw Lina get up and walk towards the stone arch.

”Is she going to challenge the trial again?” — Aliya thought.

But, to her amazement, Lina stopped, patted her cheeks and, clenching her fists, stepped inside.

”She really didnʼt give up!” she exclaimed.

Aliya stared at the stone arch for a while, but then, losing interest, returned to her occupation of enjoying delicious food.

A little time passed, and then someone flew out of the arch with great speed, fell to the ground, rolled and crashed into another stone.

This time, Aliya wasnʼt too surprised. Rather, she was looking forward to seeing who would be next.

”I wonder if itʼs Lina or someone else?” — wondering this question, she got up and headed to the scene of the accident.

When the dust settled, Aliya saw who it was and breathed a sigh of relief. It was Alois, and he was in a very bad condition.

”Phew… Itʼs not her,” Aliya smiled, looking at him.

As with Lina, she began casting a light element spell to heal Alois.

During the treatment, Aliya noticed that Alois, like Lina, was in a strange state and could not recover for a long time.

After healing the main injuries, Aliya left him and returned to her seat.

She was capable of healing physical injuries, but she lacked experience in the field of emotional therapy, so she didnʼt even think about taking on this case.

After a while, the next participant who failed the test flew out of the arch. It was a disciple who followed his master and became the third one who couldnʼt pass.

”Itʼs time, itʼs time,” Aliya thought, slapping her legs, and got up to take care of the treatment.

By this time, Alois had already recovered a little, but he was lost in thought. Unlike Lina, he did not rush to the stone arch to challenge the test again.

Noticing that his disciple also failed to pass, Alois wasnʼt too surprised.

He just sighed heavily.

After finishing the treatment, Aliya returned to her seat.

”Only Eulalia and Lina are left,” she whispered, starting on another course.

While enjoying her meal, she noticed Liam kneeling down in front of his master.

”Iʼm sorry, Master, I failed,” he said with remorse.

”Get up, Liam,” Alois asked. ”Thereʼs no need to apologize.”

However, Liam continued to kneel, without raising his head.

Alois, seeing his discipleʼs tenacity, did not insist.

He had experienced the effect of the test himself and understood how his disciple felt.

”I hope he learns from this and becomes a better version of himself,” Alois thought, and then, catching a pleasant scent, he looked at Aliya and joined her by the campfire.

”Are you hungry?” Aliya asked, and after receiving an affirmative answer, she took out the dishes and handed one of them to Alois. They enjoyed their meal in silence until Liam joined them.

The three of them waited in silence for the two remaining girls.

For a long time, no one flew out of the arch, and only half a day later Eulalia appeared from it. Her speed and impact force were significantly higher than Alois and Liamʼs, and therefore the damage she sustained was more severe.

When Aliya ran up to her, Eulalia was unconscious. Seeing her in such a state, Aliya immediately started treatment.

It took Aliya quite a long time for her treatment.

”Phew...” she gasped, wiping the sweat from her forehead. Feeling very weak, she realized how much she wanted to eat and regain her strength.

”Who would have thought that I would spend so much effort on her treatment,” she thought as she looked at the still unconscious elf.

”Well, sheʼs a Diamond—ranked creature,” Aliya reminded herself.

Before returning to the campfire, she cast a glance at the top of the mountain, wondering how far Lina had progressed and if she would be able to complete the trial on the second try.
