Chapter 887: What happened to the people of this town?

In the Kingdom, belatedly, a second portal opened inside the large structure, from which the first inhabitants of the city of Redclay began to emerge.

With awe and awe, they looked up at Lucinda, a divine being with four wings, wrapped in heavenly beauty and radiating divine light. Her influence of the element of Light was stronger than that of Idan, and those who had previously fallen under his spell became even more devoted to her.

Under Lucindaʼs guidance, the residents of Redclay soon joined the residents of Ironcreek and, without any resistance, began to move towards the Access Portal that led to the city of Nordist.

Meanwhile, on the other side, in the city of Nordist, the situation was becoming increasingly tense.

Although Nordist was larger than Ironcreek and Redclay and had already faced an influx of refugees after the cataclysm that changed the world, it still began to experience difficulties.

The city was not ready for the sudden increase in the population of two cities at once.

All city services were mobilized and worked to the limit of their capabilities.

Buses arrived and departed without a break. Roads were set aside to evacuate the endless stream of refugees from the Kingdom Guild building. They were transported to temporary shelters that were set up in schools, gyms, stadiums, and even in some industrial buildings.

Tent centers began to be built in large city squares.

In the center of the Kingdom, in the living room of a house turned into a command center, Arabel studied the incoming information with a sigh.

”Two cities is the limit for a Nordist,” she concluded, returning to reading the chat messages {Talisman of the Whisper}.

”Is Coco already in Redclay? Great,” Arabel nodded after learning that the two little foxes had begun their task of emptying the supplies in both cities.

”Leo,” she said to her colleague. ”Is there any reaction from the Federation?”

”No news yet,” Leo shook his head, checking all the news from his sources once again.

”Itʼs strange, they should have already found out about the appearance of many refugees in Nordist. If they had questioned any of them, they might have found out what was going on,” Arabel whispered.

”Okay, we canʼt wait any longer,” she decided, putting aside her doubts, and began sending messages through the {Whisper Talisman}.

---------------------------

MBQ: {Twilight Empress, go ahead.}

Twilight Empress: {Accepted.}

”Now we just have to wait to see if the Federation will accept our offer,” Arabel mused, returning to observing the situation.

”If we had a more efficient way to teleport large numbers of people, we wouldnʼt just be limited to the northern and eastern regions,” she thought regretfully.

They had already given up on using Whitey and Snowʼs abilities due to their heavy workload.

Despite their desire to help, Whitey and Snowʼs abilities simply wouldnʼt be able to withstand the constant teleportation of a large number of people.

Then the idea of creating portals was considered, drawn from information from other worlds, including Junonia. However, it turned out to be an unrealistic task, requiring many nuances and huge costs that they could not afford.

As a result, this idea was also thrown out.

Even their last hope in the person of Christina did not meet the expectations of Idan and Arabel.

”Who would have thought that the element of space would turn out to be such a complex and costly element.”

”Not to mention how incredible our {Family Spatial Storage} was,” Arabel marveled, recalling Christinaʼs revelation about the Kingdom.

This prompted Idan and Arabel to eventually use their Access Portals and the Kingdom to evacuate the cities.

While Arabel was lost in thought, Leo updated the Federation map with the latest data. As expected, the size of the anomaly has increased.

Arabelʼs gaze settled on one particular point as she studied the new map. It was the name of a city that had already been swallowed up by the southern anomaly.

”Leo,” Arabel called out and pointed to the name of the city. ”What happened to the people of this town?”

”Is there any mention of this city?” Arabel asked, and Leo, realizing the gravity of the situation, began to search for information.

However, no matter how much he searched, there was silence everywhere and no information. It seemed that someone was deliberately hiding and not mentioning this city.

Leo, beginning to realize what this meant, trembled slightly and looked at Arabel with concern.

Recently, he and Arabel had been focusing on the northern and eastern parts of the Federation, gathering information and monitoring the Guild membersʼ actions, coordinating them. At the same time, they rarely paid attention to the south and west.

Unlike the northern and eastern regions, the south and west of the Federation were more densely populated. There were more cities here, and some of them were much closer to the anomaly than the closest cities to the north and east.

Deep down, they hoped that the Federation and the Association would find a way to help the residents in a difficult situation. However, even in the parts of the network that were accessible to the Federation, there was not a single mention of this city or hints of evacuation.

This meant that, like Ironcreek and Redclay, this city had been abandoned and its inhabitants abandoned to their fate.

Arabel closed her eyes and sighed heavily, realizing the fate that had befallen the inhabitants of this city. A storm of emotions raged inside her, and she couldnʼt hold back her tears.

But then she pulled herself together. Wiping away her tears, she took out the {Whisper Talisman} and shared this information with everyone.

The chat went silent for a moment. Everyone began to realize how serious the Third Disaster was, and what an important task they were doing. How many more ordinary people are on the verge of death.

Putting aside the {Whisper Talisman}, Arabel sent Idan a private message through the {Loversʼ Plate}.

---------------------------

MBG: {Dan, we canʼt ignore this. We have to do something.}

---------------------------

In less than a few seconds, Idan answered her.

---------------------------

MHG: {Belle, I understand that. Itʼs not easy for me to realize everything thatʼs happening either.}

MHG: {But in order to do something, we need the help of our champions Nemo and Lina. Is there any news from them?}

---------------------------

After reading Idanʼs messages, Arabel realized that he was right. The two of them werenʼt enough.

They needed the help of Nemo and Lina, their champions, who also knew how to open portals leading to the Kingdom.
