Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 292: Heh, here you are

When the wolfʼs head rolled to the ground, sprinkling the muddy snow with fresh blood, Nico finally breathed a sigh of relief, as did his comrade who had helped him in the battle. They looked at each other, and although they had masks on their faces, they were sure they were wearing satisfied smiles.

The four other members of the group also noticed that their leader and one of their comrades had defeated a golden-ranked beast, and they became inspired, exerting even more strength to reduce the number of silver-ranked beasts.

After catching his breath, Nico, who was on the number 4 defense side in the very center, could see what was happening on each of the two sides from him.

On the number 5 side, a girl from the Association was fighting alone against a golden—ranked beast, a large snow-white fox. The other four of her group were keeping the other beasts from interfering with her battle.

Watching the girl fight, Nico felt some envy. After all, besides the sword, which she used as her main weapon, she also possessed magic.

This was the main difference between a regular and a rare system. Unlike them, the hosts of the ordinary system, the hosts of the rare system could from the very beginning, in addition to the ”Path of mastery”, also open the ”Path of Magic”.

”Magic...” muttered Nico, attracting the attention of his friend. The latter, noticing his gaze, saw a girl fighting with a golden-ranked beast, and also felt envy.

In a short time watching the battle, Nico realized that the girl had an advantage, and it was only a matter of time before she defeated the beast she was fighting.

Fortunately for humanity, the evolved beasts, as far as they knew, did not possess magic or elemental abilities, unlike the beasts from other worlds.

The girl from the Association used all her skills to dodge the attacks and study the behavior of the beast. It wasnʼt until some time later, when she had mastered the movements and speed of the beast, that she began to counterattack.

Trying to keep her distance, she decided to use her magic, the only advantage she had.

As the Host of a Rare System, besides her unique ability that gave her the Systemʼs name, she was most inclined to use magic.

When the fox tried to strike again with its claws and then bite using its sharp fangs, the girl deftly dodged using a movement technique. At the same moment, she used her magic, and sharp ice spikes grew from under the foxʼs feet as it was about to land. Due to the disadvantage, the fox was unable to dodge, and one of the thorns pierced her stomach.

Without giving the beast the slightest chance, the girl used the magic of the ice element, creating several ice spears, which she fired at the fox.

Even with the wound on her stomach, the fox was able to dodge most of the spears, but one of them hit her in the back thigh of her left leg, slowing down her movements.

With such injuries, the fox, like the wolf, did not last long and was soon killed when one of the ice spears created by the girl pierced her skull, piercing her brain.

If Idan had been watching Nico and the girl fighting, he would have immediately noticed that both of them didnʼt have enough experience fighting beasts of their own rank. If instead of these beasts, there were Junoniaʼs beasts that not only surpassed them in stats, but also possessed elemental skills, Nico and the girlʼs victory over them would be questionable.

Before the girl defeated the fox, Nico turned his attention to the other side of the defense — the third, where, unlike the first two, there were no Awakened Ones.

The military tried their best to prevent the Beasts from reaching the city, showering them with a hail of bullets that rattled in the air.

Nico, like Idan, was surprised to notice that the Golden-ranked Beast was still waiting without taking any action.

Seeing this, Nico and his companions considered it a sign of good luck.

After catching their breath, Nico and his companion looked at each other, nodded, and, getting to their feet, were about to run to the third side, when they suddenly noticed that the Golden-ranked Beast, which had not been active all this time, began to move.

Nico instinctively turned around and saw that the girl had just defeated her enemy. This was the trigger that spurred the last of the three Golden-ranked Beasts into action.

The distance was quite long, and it would take Nico and the others a while to get to the third party and stop the Beast. By the time they come to the rescue, the Beast will already be able to break through the defenses and wreak havoc. Realizing this, each of them was prepared for the fact that there would be casualties among the military.

The third Beast was an evolved snow leopard, which became bigger and more agile. As a member of the feline family, he possessed incredible speed and agility. The beast easily dodged the hail of bullets, and those that hit it inflicted only minor wounds, unable to stop its movements.

The military from the third party was horrified, watching as a dangerous Beast was rushing at them at great speed. They immediately focused their fire on it, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldnʼt keep up with the Beastʼs dodging speed and hit its vital parts.

”Damn it! Shoot! Shoot!” the soldiers shouted, but their screams were drowned out by the noise of gunfire.

When the beast was almost upon them, and the military was mentally saying goodbye to their loved ones, the Golden-ranked beast abruptly stopped and jumped aside, barely managing to dodge the crescent-shaped arc that fell in front of it, leaving a deep gash on the cold ground.

For a moment, the gunshots stopped in surprise, and everyone turned their attention to the young man who suddenly appeared in front of them.

He had blond hair and blue eyes, and had a calm smile on his face. The military was amazed when they noticed that the guy was not dressed according to the weather, but in clothes that they recognized as the uniform of an adventurer from another world.

”Tch. Missed,” Idan said, clicking his tongue. He had hoped to defeat the beast with a single blow, but unfortunately, he underestimated the agility of the feline-type beast.

”This... this...” Nico and the others, who had just fled, froze in place when they saw what had happened on the third side of the battlefield.

”This is an Aura attack!” one of them exclaimed. This was the pinnacle of mastery that they, as Hosts of an Ordinary System, could achieve by reaching the Golden Rank. None of the three of them, who had also reached the Golden Rank, had yet mastered their aura enough to use sword techniques to attack from a distance.

The eyes of all six turned to Idan, the man who had just delivered that blow.

Ignoring the people around him and focusing on the Beast in front of him, Idan took a step to quickly deal with this opponent. However, a strange force swept across all three battlefields, causing all the men to grab their heads.

The military instantly lost consciousness, while Nicoʼs group felt a powerful blow to their minds, which caused them to fall to their knees. They were still conscious, but their movements had become significantly slower. Although the two girls in their group werenʼt hurt as much as the boys, this force still had some effect on them.

The beast, like the male, was also hit and froze in place. However, unlike humans, he recovered quickly. But before he could get up, a crescent-shaped arc crashed down on him, cutting him in half without resistance and taking his life.

”Heh, here you are,” Idan said after striking the beast, which took the latterʼs life. Unlike the others, he seemed to be barely affected by the attack of this strange energy.

After striking, Idan stopped paying attention to the beast, which had already been cut in half. He looked in a certain direction, and a beautiful woman scantily clad appeared from there. She had a big smile on her face, and her gaze was fixed on Idan. She stared at him intently, licking her lips with her long tongue.
