Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 252: Not far from the city

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

After walking some distance after landing, Idan and Ned, heading towards the city, heard the sounds of gunfire.

This immediately caught their attention.

”Interesting,” Idan said.

As a gold rank awakened, he was very interested in how effective modern weapons were against them.

Of course, Idan would not want to test this on himself.

”Iʼm afraid guns still have some effectiveness against the awakened,” he muttered, wondering if he should go and check out what was going on there.

After a momentʼs thought, Idan decided to check it out anyway.

”Is someone in trouble?” he asked, turning to Ned.

He just shrugged his shoulders.

”Okay, letʼs go, — Idan called, gesturing for Ned to follow him, and headed towards the sound of gunfire.

”Yes, young master,” Ned said, and followed him.

”System, Iʼm sure you have more accurate information, so tell me, how effective are the weapons of our world against Hosts of my level?”

[Host, it depends on the specific type of weapon youʼre talking about. If you evaluate it roughly, based only on power, then against an unprepared Host of Systems of your level, low-power weapons have very low efficiency. However, it can still cause harm if it gets into vulnerable areas such as the eyes.]

[Medium-power weapons can already pose a threat, but not a fatal one.]

[High-power weapons can be deadly.]

”So, guns are still a danger to us. Itʼs sad.”

[Yes, Host. Although this System has provided only rough estimates of the danger of weapons for an untrained Host of your level, it still recommends that you be careful with firearms until you reach the platinum rank.]

”Iʼll take your words into account,” Idan replied.

”The fact that we have become Awakened and have powers does not make us invulnerable and omnipotent,” Idan mused, heading towards where the gunshots were coming from.

”So, in the current level of development of the world, ordinary people like the military also have a certain strength to resist gold—ranked beasts, rather than being completely defenseless,” a thought occurred to him.

Idan was now beginning to understand how the Federation had managed to survive the second disaster, despite the severe shortage of Awakened Ones. The military was still capable of fighting back against the beasts, and Idan was sure that not all the beasts in the world were gold-ranked during that wave.

Idan began to think about it, because in two months there was going to be a third disaster—the first one in which he and Arabel would participate.

From the information he had read on the Web, the number of awakened ones had increased significantly after the second calamity. Now there were just over 5,000 of them, which is significantly more than before the second disaster.

Most of them were in Junonia, where they were trying to raise their level and improve their skills.

As they approached the place, the sounds of gunfire grew louder. Climbing onto a small ledge, Idan and Ned were finally able to see in the distance a group of people who were standing in front of the beasts tied to trees and taking turns shooting at them.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Except for one person, everyone had combat rifles.

Out of curiosity, Idan decided to use the ”Eye of Identification ”.

**Identification:**

Name: Nick

Race: Human (Mortal)

Age: 28

Random information: The sadist

**Identification:**

Name: Paul

Race: Human (Mortal)

Age: 25

Random information: The molester

…

Idan tested everyone with his ability, and the more he saw, the worse his mood became. One is worse than the other.

Idan was thinking, when suddenly his ”Eye of Identification” ability began to show almost the same information in random information from everyone he checked.

**Identification:**

Name: Kraus

Race: Human (Gloden Rank)

Age: 21

Random information: The right-hand man of the ”New People” Guild Leader.

”Awakened One...” Idan found the awakened one among a group of people, and it was the one who wasnʼt carrying a weapon.

”The New People Guild?”— Idan decided to memorize this information.

After he checked on the people, his attention was attracted by the beasts tied to the trees.

At a glance, Idan realized that these were not the ordinary beasts he knew, but creatures that had undergone evolution.

Out of curiosity, Idan checked one of them with his ”Eye of Identification”.

**Identification:**

Name: ___

Race: Snow Wolf

Rank: Rank 2 (Silver)

Random information: A polar wolf that has evolved under the influence of the energy of evolution.

”Oh!” exclaimed Idan, watching the snow—white wolf, who was chained to a tree with a strong chain and dodged rifle bullets with dexterity.

There was a total of five beasts in this place: three snow wolves and two white foxes. Two of the three wolves were already lying motionless, their bodies covered in a pool of scarlet blood.

It was obvious that these people were using animals as targets and bullying them. The first two beasts died in agony, suffering multiple wounds, and their blood stained everything around the tree they were tied to.

At the moment, people were shooting at the third wolf, and the two remaining beasts, the white foxes, were patiently waiting for their turn. They did not lose heart, growling towards people and baring their fangs, but the chains that bound them were too strong to allow them to attack their tormentors.

Idan, watching what was happening, had mixed feelings.

The people in front of him were not just bad, but scum, and since the awakened one was with them, he was most likely the same as them.

Although Idan felt sorry for the beasts, he understood that humans and the beast kingdom were currently fighting for survival. To some extent, all evolved beasts were considered enemies of humanity.

However, Idan couldnʼt bear to see these people bullying these beasts. Yes, the beasts were enemies, but this kind of treatment of helpless enemies was wrong for Idan. If he were in the place of these people, he would have just killed all these beasts, but would not have tortured them.

”Woo-woo-woo, — suddenly Coco, who was sitting on Idanʼs shoulder, began to purr pitifully.

”What?” asked Idan, and then used a mental link.

”Save! Save!” a little girlʼs voice was heard.

”Are you asking me to save these foxes?” asked Idan, and Coco nodded vigorously.

Idan was debating whether to interfere in what was happening or whether it was better to ignore it. He understood that probably similar situations occur daily all over the world. But it seems Coco has already made the decision for him.
