Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 265: Mysterious Dark Egg

[Congratulations, Host, you have received the ”Mysterious Dark Egg”]

”Hmm... an egg?” — Idan was pleasantly surprised by his luck.

In front of Idan, a small egg appeared from the rift, about the size of a childʼs head.

Before it could fall, Idan quickly grabbed it.

While he was examining the egg, intending to use the ”Eye of Identification”, a notification from System caught his attention:

[Ding! For killing the Host of an Ordinary System, you got one Core of a Ordinary System]

[The Core of an Ordinary System is sealed and moved to storage]

”The Core of An Ordinary System? As I expected, Kraus was the Host of a Ordinary System,” Idan muttered. And then it dawned on him: ”Hey, System! What does it mean to get the Core of an Ordinary System? Does this mean that if someone kills me or Arabel, they will get the Core of the Epic System?”

[No, Host. In your world, no one but the two of you is capable of obtaining System Cores after killing other Hosts.]

”Eh? But why is that?” — forgetting about the egg on his hand, Idan turned to the System with a question.

[Collecting System Cores is part of the unique ability inherent in the title of ʼSupremeʼ. However, since this title is currently partially sealed and the Hosts have not yet achieved the necessary qualifications, you can only assemble the Cores of the Systems without being able to use them.]

”So this is a feature of the Title...” Idan and Arabel understood how unique this title of ”Supreme” was. What are the functions of Systems worth! Even without further explanation, it was clear that all these new functions that were opening up to them were related to their still partially blocked Title. And now System has shared with them some incomplete information about the unique ability of the Title itself.

”Knowing System, you can be sure that it wonʼt give you more information even if I ask,” Idan thought, returning his attention to the egg in his hands.

As he had intended earlier, Idan used the ”Eye of Identification”.

**Identification:**

Name: Mysterious Dark Egg

Rarity: Epic (+)

Race: ???

Random information: Mysterious Dark Egg

”Epic egg!” exclaimed Idan, almost dropping the egg in surprise. His loud voice and emotions caught the attention of Ned and Coco. They exchanged glances, wordlessly approached Idan and also began to examine the egg in his hands.

Cocoʼs eyes narrowed slightly as she felt a strange, inexplicable closeness to this egg.

It was the first thing Idan had seen with epic rarity, apart from their own System.

”What kind of plus is this?” wondered Idan, noticing the ”+” designation next to the ”Epic” rarity. He focused on this advantage, and additional information was revealed to him.

[Upon receipt ??? (legendary resource) can be upgraded to ”Legendary”]

”Damn it! An opportunity to upgrade to legendary rarity!” exclaimed Idan, and Ned and Coco, although they did not understand why Idan was so surprised when looking at the egg, nevertheless joined him and also expressed their admiration.

”Letʼs find out how much this egg costs if itʼs sold,” Idan suggested, intrigued by the possibility of finding out what the Epic Eggʼs price is.

Before looking at the price, Idan sat down and made sure that he was holding the egg tightly. He didnʼt want to drop it out of surprise if the price turned out to be high.

”Oh! Oh...” Idan froze, staring at the price.

”15... 15,000 System Points!” The egg never ceased to amaze him.

Although the sale price was high, Idan had no intention of selling the egg. He knew that System was buying things from them at very low prices, and therefore understood that the real cost of the egg was even higher.

”And where should I keep it? Iʼm not going to carry it with me everywhere, am I?” asked Idan, looking at the egg. Coco tilted her head, as if she was also thinking about this question. Ned just scratched her head.

”Woo-woo-woo, — Coco suddenly purred, stretching out her paws.

”Huh? What? Do you want an egg?” asked Idan Coco, watching her vigorously stretch out her paws to him and nod.

”Youʼre not going to eat it, are you?” Idan asked, and Coco, hearing this question, froze and looked at him in disbelief.

”Good. Iʼll leave the egg in your care, Coco. Please take good care of him or her, okay? He or she will become our new friend and your little brother or sister,” Idan said, handing Coco an egg.

Idan did not have a contract with the egg, and he did not yet have the opportunity to store it in his Storage. In addition, he understood that the egg needed constant care.

Idan has already had three problematic ”children”, and now there is a fourth. He didnʼt mind entrusting the care of the egg to Coco, since she had volunteered to do it herself.

Idan couldnʼt help but smile as he watched Coco, who was fondly hugging an egg slightly smaller than herself.

With the egg in her paws, Coco opened the rift and, without hesitation, jumped into it, instantly disappearing. Leaving Idan and Ned alone.

Idan stood up and looked around, looking at Ned with satisfaction. His work was impeccable, and no one noticed the small commotion he caused.

Krausʼ body completely disintegrated, leaving nothing but bloodstains on the floor.

Ned, realizing his masterʼs intentions, used the energy of darkness and quickly absorbed all the evidence related to Kraus, leaving nothing to give them away.

After making sure they hadnʼt forgotten anything, Idan and Ned left Krausʼ room as stealthily as they had entered it, and returned to their hotel room.

In the void, in a small isolated space about 10 by 10 in size, a portal opened. Coco came out of it, gently hugging the egg.

It was Cocoʼs personal space, her secret hideout where she could relax and spend time. This place was also directly connected to her backpack on her back. All the things she had were stored here.

Coco looked at the egg with excitement and surprise, which easily penetrated into her shelter. Usually, only she and creatures like her could get here.

She made the decision to take care of this egg only when she felt a familiar intimacy with it and when she had the idea that the egg could get to this place without obstacles.

Holding the egg in her paws, Coco walked over and carefully placed it on the small crib that belonged to her. Then she climbed onto the crib and lay down next to the egg.

The feeling coming from the egg reminded Coco a little of her family, and she longed for them. Closing her eyes, Coco decided to take a nap, enjoying the familiar feelings.
