Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 264: Urgent task

[Ding! An urgent task has been received! Immediately kill the ”???” servant before the ”???” notices the Host.]

Idan was extremely surprised. It was the first time he had encountered this type of task from System.

Without wasting a second, he took out his still slightly damaged sword from the storage and filled it with the energy of fire and madness. He then swiftly attacked the kneeling Kraus, catching him off guard.

Kraus had not expected such a sudden attack at all.

But before Idanʼs sword landed on Krausʼ head, he collided with an invisible black barrier and bounced off, knocking Idan back several meters. A mysterious pendant flashed on Krausʼ chest, which immediately crumbled into dust, and the black barrier disappeared.

Kraus finally came to his senses and, raising his head, looked at Idan in disbelief. Idan wasted no time in attacking swiftly, and Kraus realized with horror what had happened. He tried to dodge, but Idanʼs sword was faster, piercing through Krausʼ chest and meeting no more resistance in its path.

There was a look of bewilderment and horror in Krausʼ eyes as the sword pierced his chest.

The tip of the blade reached his heart and right lung, and he couldnʼt hold back the pain as he spat out a large amount of blood.

”Why?” His agonized question rang out, but before Idan could answer, his eyes darkened and he lost consciousness, and with it his life.

Idanʼs sword wasnʼt a simple weapon—it was shrouded in the energy of fire and madness. First, the blade inflicted a physical wound, and then the two forces began to consume Krausʼ body from the inside. In a matter of seconds, under the influence of two energies, Krausʼ body began to decompose in front of Idanʼs eyes, unable to resist.

”Phew...” gasped Idan, watching Krausʼ rapidly disintegrating body.

Idan was somewhat surprised by how quickly and easily the fight ended. Although, to tell the truth, itʼs hard to call it a fight. Suddenness and unpreparedness of Kraus played a big role. Idan also suspected that Kraus had an ordinary system, not a rare one. Otherwise, he might have put up some resistance and not been defeated so quickly.

”As expected...” he muttered. ”I donʼt feel anything.”

After killing Kraus, Idan did not feel any emotions. It was as if killing had become an integral part of his life, and he had long since gotten used to it.

It wasnʼt the murder itself that bothered Idan, but the fact that he felt no remorse or fear of what he had done. He felt no regrets, no panic.

Idan had two versions of why he had changed so much. The first is the memory of his first ascension trial. At that time, he had already committed his first murder and experienced all those feelings.: The regret, fear, and panic that a person experiences when they realize that they have caused someoneʼs death.

The second version: This is due to the fact that the System deleted the memories of his second ascension trial, the madness energy trial.

Idan was leaning towards the second version. Even if the memories of the first trial had been preserved, he still wouldnʼt have felt so calm. Killing people is not an easy act, and he was aware of it. However, the reaction of his body and mind was too strange. Therefore, Idan associated this with the second ascension test.

What happened to him that he stopped taking killing people as something serious?

[Ding! An urgent task! ”Immediately kill the ”???” servant before the ”???” notices the Host.” done]

[Ding! A rare mark ”???” has been detected.]

[Ding! The rare mark ”???” was blocked and sealed by this System due to its Epic rarity.]

[Ding! For the elimination of the servant ”???” You get one random reward out of four special rewards related to active functions.]

[”Trade” function – Access to the ”Black Market”

”Bloodline” function – Access to bloodlines of ”Fallen Races”

”Alchemy” function – A recipe for forbidden deadly poisons

”Beast Taming” function - A mysterious dark egg]

[Ding! The task of System is ”To eliminate all those involved in the assassination attempt! There are 13 goals in total!” completed. All 13 targets have been eliminated. 112 System points were received. The number of System Points has been tripled for the successful completion of the first kill task. Received 336 System points]

”336 System points! Not bad, not bad at all,” Idan was pleasantly surprised to receive so many points.

”Three whole packages of chocolates for Coco,” he thought, for some reason comparing the number of points again with the number of candies he could buy for Coco.

”Well, System, would you like to explain what just happened?” asked Idan, addressing the System.

Ned and Coco silently watched their Master from the side. Ned had a big smile and a fanatical gleam in his eyes as he looked at Idan. His Master didnʼt even blink an eye when he killed this man, and besides, he used the Energy of Madness.

Coco was surprised and a little scared by Idanʼs cold demeanor. She really liked Idan because of his caring nature and the gentle hands he stroked her with. But now, it seemed like a completely different person was standing in front of her. The very atmosphere around Idan at this time was radically different from his usual warm and carefree nature.

[This System strongly recommends that Hosts not try to find out about ”???” until you activate this System in full force, for your own safety.]

Idan frowned after hearing such a response from the System.

[Host, without fully activating this System, you are too vulnerable to ”???”. The very knowledge of ”???” it can attract ”his” attention. So forget about ”???” until you complete the ”Chain Task” suggested by this System.]

[Due to this event, this System also recommends speeding up the execution of the ”Chain Task”.]

It was only after these words from the System that Idan felt some satisfaction.

”System, answer just one question. Is ”this” related to something my sister didnʼt want to share with Arabel?” During their trip to the north, Arabel told Idan about what she had talked about with his older sister, Irene.

[Yes], System briefly confirmed.

After receiving the confirmation, Idan decided to leave this issue aside, as suggested by the System.

”Okay, System, give me the reward for killing the servant,” he said, rubbing his hands in anticipation.

As he expected, all four rewards turned out to be special, just as the System said. A familiar lottery wheel with four awards appeared in front of him.

Knowing how to act, Idan pressed the red button to start the wheel. After waiting for it to reach its maximum rotation speed, he pressed the button again.

The wheel began to slow down and soon stopped, demonstrating what kind of reward Idan had won.

[Congratulations, Host, you have received the ”Mysterious Dark Egg”]
