Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 291: Well, my System points, Iʼm coming

In less than a few minutes, a new, more powerful wave of Beasts appeared on the horizon.

The number of Bronze-ranked Beasts has increased significantly, as has the number of Silver-ranked Beasts. But what really caught the attention of Idan and the other awakened ones was the presence of three Golden—ranked Beasts.

The previous waves mainly attacked the central side of the three sides of the city, namely side number 4. However, now the other two sides of the cityʼs defense, sides number 3 and 5, are also under threat. And there was one Golden-ranked Beast in each of them.

Nico and his group headed towards the central side, where there were the most Beasts. At the same time, the group led by the girl from the Association chose the number 5 side for their battle.

Thus, Side 3 was left without the support of the awakened.

The Bronze-ranked beasts were not a serious threat to the military. An accurate shot from a automatic rifles to the head or other important part of the body could easily kill such an Beast. However, in the chaotic conditions, not all military personnel managed to hit a moving target, so it took an average of 3-5 direct hits to kill one Bronze-ranked Beast.

The Silver-ranked Beasts were already a great danger. Unlike the bronze ones, they were faster and nimbler, and their skin was thicker. It took many more direct hits to kill a single Silver-ranked Beast. Large-caliber weapons such as machine guns were already more effective against them. But the main problem remained to hit them.

Even before the disaster, the Beasts were stronger and faster than ordinary people. After the disaster and evolution, the Beasts were still stronger than humans of the same rank as them.

Seeing this, Idan did not immediately interfere, but decided to prepare himself a little. He moved closer to the third side of the city to be prepared for any unforeseen events.

When the Awakened Ones appeared on the central and right sides, the Golden-ranked Beasts that were holding on at the end of the wave joined the attack, focusing their efforts solely on the Awakened Ones.

The Awakened ones came forward, and when the military saw this, they tried to aim so as not to hit them. Everyone, without exception, understood that the Awakened Ones were the key to victory, and no one wanted to cause their death, because their own lives depended on their lives and abilities.

The military realized that without the Awakened Ones, one strong Golden-ranked Beast could destroy them all.

Idan, for his part, could only observe the actions of Nicoʼs group, and even then not in all the details. At the same time, he kept an eye on the Golden-ranked Beast, which, to his surprise, had not yet taken action on the third side, where there were no Awakened Ones.

This only reinforced Idanʼs suspicions that all these beasts were just bait, and whoever was behind it was carefully watching the reaction of the defenders of the city.

Unlike Nicoʼs group, Idan was aware that this wave of beasts was different from the usual ones, which were perceived as a natural disaster. Behind these waves was a third force seeking to destroy the city.

Idan tried to imagine what actions a potential enemy would take, putting himself in their shoes.

”If I were them, I wouldnʼt send all my pawns at once, even after Iʼve stripped the city of its main forces,” Idan muttered. ”There is always a chance that an unforeseen element will appear that could interfere with the plans.”

As he spoke, Idan took a look at Nicoʼs group and the representatives of the Association, and also did not forget about his presence. All these forces, including himself, could already be considered the most unforeseen elements that could interfere with the enemyʼs plans.

”After sending out the baits and discovering these ʼelementsʼ, I would try to get rid of them as soon as possible before attracting the main forces to achieve my goal,” Idan thought, turning his gaze back to the Golden—ranked beast, which still did not move.

”The enemy is waiting. When they are completely sure that there are no other forces left, they will make a move and eliminate the remaining Awakened ones,” Idan concluded.

”Eh... Idan, Idan, Idan. Why are you thinking so much again?” he asked himself, shaking his head.

Roughly imagining the enemyʼs plan, Idan finally decided to join the battle and try to lure out the enemy without waiting for the Golden-ranked beast to attack the military.

Although Idan didnʼt care if the military survived, it was more beneficial for him to keep them alive in order to complete the Systemʼs task. In that case, they could deal with the ordinary Bronze-ranked beasts and some of the Silver-ranked beasts while he was busy eliminating the Golden-ranked beasts.

”Well, my System points, Iʼm coming, — Idan said and, taking a step, jumped off the roof of the building, still having not got rid of the fear of heights.

For him, an Awakened Golden Rank, falling from such a height was not a mortal danger, but even after becoming such a being, Idan still could not overcome his fear. Falling from a great height, he kicked up a small cloud of dust, and although he was not seriously injured, his legs still hurt a little.

”It turns out that even falling from such a height can be painful,” he thought, and his heart began to beat faster with a rush of adrenaline. But there was a smile on his face. Now he has seen from his own experience that he cannot die from a simple fall from such a height, but he realized that this does not relieve the pain.

In the noise of the battle, his fall went unnoticed.

While Idan was moving towards the third side, Nicoʼs group joined the fight.

Nico and his Gold-ranked companion took on the Gold-ranked Beast, while the others focused their efforts on other Beasts that could hinder them in their battle with the Gold-ranked Beast.

As the owners of the Ordinary System, they all followed the ”Path of Mastery” like the people from the world of Junonia. They didnʼt have their own bloodlines or magical abilities. Their System, being an Ordinary Rarity, supported and helped them move only along this path.

The four of them chose the sword as their main weapon and followed the ”Path of Sword”. While two girls from their group chose a bow and followed the ”Path of Bow”.

Nico, following the ”Path of Sword”, reached the gold rank with the help of the System and was able to unlock the Aura. Like his comrade, he could now use it in battle.

Now Nico and one of his companions, who also followed the ”Path of Sword”, were fighting a Golden-ranked Beast. While the only girl in their group who had reached the Golden rank and was an archer, she helped the other three participants in the battle with the Silver rank Beasts.

Their group worked well together, and each of them already knew their abilities. The four participants did their job perfectly.

”Over here!” shouted Nico, striking at the wolf. Although his sword only grazed the fur slightly, it distracted the wolfʼs attention. Comrade Nico took advantage of the moment and, taking advantage of the weakness of the beast, hit him in the back thigh, causing a deep wound. It slowed the wolf down a bit.

After receiving the wound, the wolf immediately switched to its attacker and tried to strike with sharp claws. However, Comrade Nico was already prepared for this and, using the movement technique, deftly dodged the attack.

Nico took advantage of the moment, poured aura into his sword and struck from behind, hitting the other leg of the wolf.

”Awww!” the wolf howled, having received a new wound.

With each new injury, the wolf became slower and lost its effectiveness. Using this, Nico and his friend were able to gain the upper hand in battle. In the end, the wolf fell when Nico chopped off its head with a precise blow of the sword with aura.
