Chapter 1389: Chapter 1397: Had a Crush

James Carter chuckled self-mockingly, ”It’s unreasonable to always make you put up with her, even if she is my sister, I should be the one apologizing. I didn’t manage her well, letting her trouble you again.”

Every girl, isn’t she just another person tenderly loved and pampered in someone else’s palm?

James Carter also knew that Jane Sampson wasn’t someone who would cause trouble without reason; he couldn’t expect Jane Sampson to tolerate Jillian Carter forever because of him. He had told Jane Sampson this a long time ago.

”Jillian, this little lass...” Kendal Smith suddenly reminisced, ”I remember when I first met her, she wasn’t this aggressive. She was a particularly adorable young girl. I still remember how silly yet utterly cute she looked with those Mickey Mouse ears.”

”Time sometimes can completely change a person.” Jane Sampson sighed lightly with a knowing look, ”Or maybe, it’s simply that Jillian and I are not destined to get along.”

After saying this, Jane Sampson just shrugged, ”Interactions between people depend on fate.”

”Indeed, although I once had a crush on her.” After saying this, Kendal Smith laughed awkwardly, ”Back then, I thought the girl with Mickey Mouse ears was incredibly adorable, fitting perfectly into my fantasy of a cute girlfriend.”

”A crush, huh!” Jane Sampson gossiped with interest, ”Then why didn’t you confess?”

”Because the little miss has a brother who’s overprotective, and he said she was still half a year away from turning 18.” Kendal Smith pouted.

”You couldn’t even wait until she turned 18? Your love was really cheap!” Jane Sampson teased Kendal Smith unapologetically.

”What are you guessing, you married young lady? I was then international, several years without coming back. If I confessed, wouldn’t that have wasted the girl’s time? When I saw her later, that feeling was gone.” Kendal Smith replied quite earnestly.

”So you like cute girls, no wonder you don’t like Julie Sampton. You’re in your thirties already, aren’t you? Still into cute? Isn’t that embarrassing?”

Jane Sampson, after a few cheeky comments, was mercilessly kicked out of the studio by Kendal Smith.

What made Kendal Smith angry wasn’t the retort about whether it was embarrassing, but Jane Sampson mentioning that he was well into his thirties, which greatly saddened him as he was indeed approaching his thirtieth birthday.

After leaving the studio, Jane Sampson went back home, only remembering that Coco Edwards seemed to have been discharged from the hospital.

She called Harry Little Money to inquire about Coco’s situation and found out that Coco had been allowed to leave the hospital a few days early by her doctor and was now back at her own place.

”I originally told Sister Coco that until she got better, I would move in with her to take care of her more conveniently, but since her family is also living there, there was no space for me. Sister Coco told me to stay at home and rest for a few days.”

”Alright, then you rest at home for a few days. You’ve indeed had a hard time taking care of Coco recently. Every now and then, go check on Coco’s condition, and it’s paid!” Jane Sampson was truly grateful to Harry Little Money for helping her take care of Coco Edwards during this period.

Initially, she had chosen Harry Little Money for her meticulous attention to detail, which suited caregiving, and indeed, it turned out to be correct.

”By the way, recently, Sister Coco’s family hasn’t caused any trouble or upset Coco, have they?” This was what Jane Sampson was most concerned about.
