CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1387: Chapter 1395: Something to Say

”She is a super popular star, and of course, the timing is dictated by her,” said the team leader in charge of Jillian Carter at the live streaming platform, clearly at his wits’ end. ”The live stream time has already been announced, and it’s impossible to change Jane Sampson’s schedule. The company highly values this collaboration with Jane Sampson and has put a lot of effort into the promotion.”

The promotional material was released before Jane Sampson’s live streaming time was even set, marking the first time the platform has publicized an event before finalizing the timeslot.

”I’ll make it simple: if she stays, I go! If I stay, she goes! Let the company decide whether to keep Jane Sampson or keep me, Jillian Carter.”

After speaking her mind, Jillian Carter sat down in the boss chair and remained stone-faced, ”The benefits and advantages I’ve brought to the company aren’t insignificant. If the company decides to side with Jane Sampson and offend me, I, Jillian Carter, don’t have to stay.”

”But don’t forget, you’ve signed a formal contract with the company,” the person in charge replied with a frosty expression.

In his opinion, when Jane Sampson live streams should have little impact on Jillian Carter, as their live stream audiences aren’t the same group.

Also, Jane Sampson is a super popular actor with talent, looks, and work to her name; a big star. Jillian Carter is nothing but an influencer who debuted through her family’s connections. How can they compare?

Their statuses aren’t even on the same level; there is nothing to compare.

Not to mention this idea of ”if she’s in, Jane Sampson’s out.” It seems they haven’t considered how much the company has invested in collaborating with Jane Sampson this time. As soon as the contract was signed with Jane Joy Studio, the company showed its sincerity by transferring the payment first.

More than three million, and that’s not even including the promotional costs; the company has already spent several millions. How could they abandon the collaboration with Jane Sampson just because of Jillian Carter?

Moreover, it’s clear that after the announcement about Jane Sampson coming to the platform was made, the number of users on the platform has significantly increased these past few days, with high levels of activity. Most of these users are here because of Jane Sampson.

If we were to say now we’re canceling the collaboration with Jane Sampson halfway through, just the backlash from these users alone could drown the platform.

”If you’re thinking of breaching the contract and terminating it with the company, you can talk to the Legal Department to find out how much you’d have to pay in penalties,” said the person in charge before leaving the office, leaving Jillian Carter to cool down alone.

Jillian Carter sat in the chair grinding her teeth, opened Jane Sampson’s twitter and sent a private message, but she found out she couldn’t send it—had Jane Sampson already blocked her?

Jillian Carter was hopping mad, grabbed her purse, flung the office door open, and marched straight out.

Not just the penalties infuriated her, but also the fact that the company wouldn’t budge at all. Obviously, in the eyes of the company, Jane Sampson was much more important than Jillian Carter.

Driving her car, Jillian Carter headed straight to James Carter’s home, and it was only upon arriving that she realized he wasn’t there. Sitting at James Carter’s front door, she then made a call to him.

After picking up the phone, without even a greeting, Jillian Carter said, ”Brother, I know Jane’s with you. Give her the phone; I need to talk to her.”

James Carter glanced down at his phone and, a few seconds later, hummed in acknowledgment and turned to call Jane, ”Jillian says she needs to talk to you.”
