CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1352: Chapter 1360: Teach me, will you?

”You are the person involved, so I can tell you that I didn’t inform you earlier because I was afraid you might be scared,” James Black said in a deep voice. ”We had a teammate who joined you and me on this mission, and that teammate is still in the hospital with severe injuries and hasn’t been discharged yet.”

James Black continued, ”So, Jane Sampson, more than anyone else, I want you to always be carefree, to never need to use the skills I’m teaching you. However, I am more afraid that if I slack off even once, in the future, I would regret it for the rest of my life.”

James Black’s tone was very serious, and the slight unwillingness in Jane Sampson’s heart was swept away by his words.

Jane Sampson realized that James Black was not forcing her to acquire this skill because as his wife she should learn it, but because he was worried that one day she might still face danger.

James Black even feared that if he didn’t push her today, he would regret it someday in the future.

”James, I will study hard,” Jane Sampson reached out and tugged on James Black’s arm, ”You teach me.”

”Hmm,” Seeing Jane Sampson so sensible, James Black slightly curved the corner of his mouth, ”Give yourself a bit more patience. Everyone’s learning ability is different. Even a little progress is still progress.”

”Thank you for the encouragement, Chief Black!” Jane Sampson playfully blinked and, on tiptoe, lightly kissed James Black’s lips.

One teaching seriously, the other learning seriously.

An hour later, Liam Woody and Mair Williams arrived, and Jane Sampson’s rate of missing the target had already decreased.

The two didn’t go up to disturb the couple in front who hadn’t noticed them. Mair Williams watched with interest how James Black and Jane Sampson interacted and listened to their conversation, finding it quite curious.

”Have the two of them been married for many years?” Mair Williams found it hard to believe, ”Then why do Jane Sampson and her husband still call each other by their full names?”

Mair Williams’s question stumped Liam Woody.

Liam Woody thought for several minutes and then honestly shook his head, ”I don’t know.”

”Look, you now call me Amelia, and I like to call you by your nickname, ’Black Face’. Don’t rush to reject this nickname; I’ve taken a one-sided liking to calling you this,” Mair Williams said cheerfully, ”That couple, even after getting married, still call each other by their full names, don’t you find that strange?”

Mair Williams was genuinely curious, so when Jane Sampson took a break halfway through her training, Mair dragged Liam over to the couple and directly asked the question.

Upon hearing this, both Jane Sampson and James Black synchronously replied, ”Is there a problem?”

”Of course there’s a problem! It’s a big deal!” Mair Williams nodded repeatedly, ”Calling each other by name and surname between husband and wife seems especially distant.”

”But I’ve gotten used to calling him that way since childhood,” Jane Sampson scratched her head, ”When I was very young, I would call him ’Brother James Black’, but as I got a bit older and felt a bit of embarrassment, I naturally dropped the ’brother’ suffix and started calling him by his name. After over 20 years, it just became a habit.”

Besides, Jane thought to herself, she and James Black didn’t get married because of an inseparable love; at that time, who would pay attention to such a small matter as a nickname?

She had been calling him ’James Black’ for over 20 years, and naturally, she never noticed anything wrong with it.

James Black very rarely omitted the surname when calling her by her name. On very rare occasions, when he was emotionally moved and holding her in his arms, he might call her by her name a few times.
