CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1310: Chapter 1318: Don’t Blame Me

James Black lay on the dormitory bed, looking at the much thinner face of Jane Sampson in the video, and asked in a soft voice with a hint of a smile, ”Do you think girls are cute, or boys?”

Without hesitation, Jane Sampson replied, ”Both are cute.”

Both cute?

James Black’s eyebrows lifted, a thrill in his heart.

Then, in the future, whether she has a daughter or a son, she should like both.

”Is it tiring to take care of them?” James Black’s smile wasn’t very obvious, ”You seem quite happy being with these kids.”

”Not tired at all, their mothers are all here, I’m just playing with them,” Jane Sampson nodded, ”It is joyful, their childlike speech is very cute.”

As she spoke, Jane Sampson got excited again, ”Tomorrow I’ll be taking care of six children with another guest. The children’s mothers will be away for the whole day until dinner time. The kids told me that we will run a fruit kindergarten tomorrow, and I will be the Watermelon Guardian.”

Jane Sampson was chatting happily with James Black when Rock Bell’s phone call suddenly came through, and she hastily ended the video chat with James Black.

”Jane, is it convenient for you to talk on the phone now?” Rock Bell sounded a bit serious, ”There is something at the studio I need to discuss with you.”

”It’s convenient, just go ahead, Sister Tin,” Jane Sampson straightened her previously lax posture.

”Previously, our studio signed a new agent named William King, and I had him take on two of the newly signed artists of our studio, you’re aware of this.” Before signing William King, Rock Bell had discussed it with Jane Sampson, but Jane Sampson had let Rock Bell make the final decisions.

Even so, Rock Bell felt that she still needed to discuss matters regarding William King with Jane Sampson.

”I’m aware of William King, what about him?” Jane Sampson asked, puzzled, ”You told me before that William King is quite capable.”

”He is capable, but what I want to discuss is not related to his work abilities. Today, our studio’s work email received an anonymous email stating that William King had been in contact with Jillian Carter before coming to our studio and had attempted to become Jillian Carter’s agent through James Carter’s introduction. Before joining us, William King helped Jillian Carter investigate your information. According to the content of the email, it suggests that William King is a mole planted by Jillian Carter in our studio.”

Although Rock Bell was not clear about the reasons, she was aware that Jillian Carter and Jane Sampson did not get along, which was quite apparent since the perfume incident during Jillian Carter’s first live stream.

Even now, the fans of both still occasionally clash over the perfume incident on the internet.

”Have you checked who sent that email?” Jane Sampson inquired, ”We need to verify whether the incidents mentioned in the email are true. If William King is indeed a mole planted by Jillian Carter in our studio, then Jillian Carter is truly despicable.”

Jillian Carter live streams about every two days, either showing her shopping at the shopping mall or sharing her daily life in her mansion in Capital Province. She has an extravagant style that indeed attracts a lot of viewers. Jane Sampson knew about it in general, even though she didn’t follow Jillian Carter’s live streams closely, as she could see from various promotions that Jillian Carter’s peak live stream viewership reaches over three hundred thousand.

”We’ve arranged for someone to investigate,” responded Rock Bell, ”If William King indeed collected your information for Jillian Carter, we don’t know what he found. His intention for joining our studio is worth considering.”

”Let’s wait for the results,” Jane Sampson said with a hint of coolness in her voice, ”If what’s said in the email turns out to be true, and Jillian Carter dares to disgust me like this, then don’t blame me for personally calling her family and asking them to come to our studio to take her away.”

Rock Bell hummed in acknowledgment. Though Jane Sampson was gentle, it didn’t mean she was easy to bully—this was something Rock Bell knew very well from early on.
