I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 1049: Chapter 1048: Origins

The Parasitic Beast actually has no relation to beasts, as it originally has no physical form. It is formed by a Mystic Doctor extracting the spirit of various distinctive animals.

Compared to humans, the spirit of animals is extremely thin, with some even lacking all three components. Extracting enough spirit to condense into an independent consciousness takes a long time.

In the process, some unique animals that match one’s mentality need to be found, like cats, which are keen and agile.

For example, dogs are more loyal compared to other animals.

Some people even risk their lives seeking for wolf packs, intent on extracting the spirit of the pack, as wolves have great teamwork abilities.

All these require preliminary preparation, and the thousands of herbs needed can be temporarily ignored, as finding them is much simpler than extracting these spirits.

However, the failure rate during condensation is over eighty percent!

The most common failure arises from rejection, among other various failure cases.

It can be said that truly condensing a Parasitic Beast is extremely difficult, with only one appearing every few centuries.

Yet whenever one appears, it tends to stir up a storm of blood and gore.

The first person to condense such a thing was an eccentric Mystic Doctor. He looked down on the attendants around him, feeling that no matter how many he changed, they could not satisfy him, so he got the idea to create one himself.

This thought, even at that time, was considered incredibly bizarre, something that would make others laugh their heads off, but this genius spent half his life’s energy and actually created such a life-like thing.

Although only life-like, it was already incredibly powerful and terrifying.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing is innately uncontrollable, as it is formed by the spirit of various distinctive animals, possessing its own consciousness, making it more twisted.

So, the eccentric’s latter half of life was essentially spent cleaning up the mess from this idea.

Once this thing invades a human brain, it quickly absorbs the other party’s spirit, attempting to merge with their spirit in the shortest time unless the other party dies or it willingly comes out, it can’t be rid of it.

Beisitian knew after Luo Yirui recounted the experiences of this period that this thing had its eyes on her son. After all, Hao Meili was not a good host, with a terribly poor mental state, even if it really invaded, it wouldn’t benefit much.

At that time, Beisitian was naturally terrified, and she immediately began to make arrangements, and after knowing that this thing was still newborn, so its abilities hadn’t manifested yet, she had an idea.

This is how we have the current Black Coal Ball.

No matter what, this thing parasitizing the cat, was forced by her to fully integrate with this cat’s body, and now it’s impossible for it to come out, unless the cat’s body naturally dies or its life depletes.

The bond between it and Luo Yirui was based on the spirit of Luo Yirui it took. This spirit, originally belonging to Luo Yirui, was taken and merged into the cat’s body, making it naturally congenial to Luo Yirui.

Just like it doesn’t want to hurt itself, it can’t harm Luo Yirui either.

As for the notion that it would die if Luo Yirui died, that’s purely Beisitian bluffing, trying to scare it.

No matter how magical the Mystic Doctor was, such a thing cannot exist.
