I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 703: Chapter 702: Paying a Visit

Beisitian had just walked into the room when footsteps sounded from outside.

”Master~”

Little Yu Zhu ran in with a big smile. Compared to four years ago, Little Yu Zhu had grown a lot taller, and her small face still had a bit of baby fat, but her figure was tall and slender.

As the first person to drink the talismanic water at that meeting, Little Yu Zhu had always been in the spotlight, but she adhered strictly to her master’s teachings, steering clear of arrogance and impatience, progressing step by step without being affected by the ’future genius’ hype. As a result, her foundation is very solid, and her spirit is abundant.

”Miss Yu Zhu is back, come and eat.” Gao Ma had already started bringing the dishes to the table, along with two other helpers tidying up.

The two helpers were hired later because the family kept growing, and the three little buns needed more care, so two long-term helpers were hired.

These two helpers were found by Zhou Quan, approved by Beisitian, both diligent and honest people. They had been employed for two years, with one replacement in between, and now these two have stayed till now, much to Beisitian’s satisfaction.

”You too, Zhou Ma, Liu Ma, go ahead and eat, we can handle it here.” Beisitian said.

Zhou Ma wasn’t particularly robust but was quite strong. She didn’t talk much and focused on her work, ensuring that all tasks were done flawlessly without any issues.

Liu Ma was hired for more delicate tasks, especially in taking care of the little buns, and was selected by Zhou Quan after some professional training.

When there’s no need to look after the little children, Liu Ma helps with other tasks, neither cutting corners nor being lazy, which is why she’s still employed now.

”Alright, call us if you need anything,” Gao Ma said with a smile.

Gao Ma showed the two helpers out to have their meal in an external wing room.

Not long after, Mrs. Qin and Luo Anguo came in, and everyone gathered around the table to start eating.

Little Yu Zhu no longer had the initial awkwardness and distance. Both Mrs. Qin and her husband, as well as Beisitian’s family, were very amiable people, and even the rather stern teacher was only seemingly aloof.

However, due to school, Little Yu Zhu usually boarded at school and only came home on weekends. Beisitian hadn’t accepted the Liu Family’s offerings; the tuition fees and such were still paid by the Liu Family themselves.

The Liu Family was naturally more than willing since someone as powerful as Beisitian would require offerings far exceeding two thousand dollars. If they truly had to make offerings, the Liu Family would go bankrupt.

Because of Little Yu Zhu, the Liu Family’s business has improved significantly, and they gradually shifted toward expanding in Beijing to conveniently take care of Little Yu Zhu, trying not to trouble Beisitian as much as possible.

”I need to head out tomorrow, from as short as three days to as long as half a month.” Beisitian said.

Everyone was used to it. Little Yu Zhu quickly nodded, ”Master, feel free to go. I’m off tomorrow and the day after, and I’ll help Grandma take care of the little buns, making sure Strawberry and Mango aren’t left alone together.”

Strawberry is Luo Yixuan, and Luo Yiqian’s nickname wasn’t originally Mango, but the little one had a particular fondness for mangoes, so everyone ended up calling her that.

This time, Luo Xudong wouldn’t be going, as he had a task to attend to the next day and couldn’t stay home.

Mrs. Qin already liked Little Yu Zhu a lot, and seeing her so well-behaved made her even more fond of her.

”If only Ping’an was half as sensible as Little Yu Zhu, I’d be content!” Mrs. Qin playfully scolded the little rascal who wouldn’t come home.

Hearing Luo Xuping’s name, Little Yu Zhu’s eyes sparkled with interest.

This time, Beisitian planned to take Tian Zhi along. After graduating, Tian Zhi didn’t rush to find a job but focused on a breakthrough, aiming to achieve Spiritual Talisman before the age of twenty-six!

It’s partly to prove himself and partly not to disappoint Beisitian’s expectations. But mostly, he desired to become Beisitian’s inheritor disciple.

There were only three spots for inheritor disciples. If he didn’t claim one soon, later candidates would be more gifted, like Little Yu Zhu, who received the powerful talismanic water.

However, Little Yu Zhu’s chances of becoming an inheritor disciple were slim, despite consuming the so-called first talismanic water of Essence Qi Talisman, as her own background was even weaker than Wei Zhongxun’s.

Qingyu still comprised only four people at present. Aside from the master, there were just three disciples. Although their skill level was significantly higher compared to general sects, in reality, it relied entirely on Beisitian alone.

So Tian Zhi wanted to put in the effort; he didn’t want Qingyu to be underestimated.

This time, it was only fitting that Beisitian took him along. Master had mentioned that his spirit was already full and solid, with a strong foundation in Chinese medicine, and his herbal concoctions had received master’s acclaim. What he now lacked was the final push over the edge.

In simpler terms, he needed an opportunity, a chance to achieve Spiritual Talisman successfully.

So recently, when Beisitian went out, she would take him along.

Early the next morning, Beisitian and Tian Zhi departed. The two of them looked more like siblings, and in fact, they were indeed cousins.

”Master, where are we headed first?” Tian Zhi asked.

”First to Wuma City. There’s an old gentleman over there renowned for his treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Just one patch of his medicine greatly alleviates pain, and on less severe rainy days, the symptoms hardly worsen.” Beisitian briefly explained.

Tian Zhi nodded, having no objections to Beisitian’s arrangements.

The two of them took over three hours to reach Wuma City. Compared to a first-tier city like Beijing, Wuma City wasn’t even considered a second-tier city. However, the cost of living here wasn’t low, comparable to some second-tier cities, indicating that people here lived relatively prosperous lives.

Upon arrival, they first checked into a local inn, planning to inquire around before making further plans.

The inn was run by a couple, a standalone small building, with clean and tidy rooms inside. Today, due to insufficient staff, the Boss Lady was stationed at the front desk.

”Boss Lady, may I ask you something? Is there a famous doctor nearby for treating rheumatoid arthritis?” Tian Zhi proactively engaged.

The Boss Lady glanced at Tian Zhi, then at Beisitian. ”You’re probably talking about Doctor Li. He lives nearby, but you two don’t seem like you have rheumatoid arthritis.”

”We’re asking for someone else. My sister and I certainly don’t have it.” Tian Zhi chuckled and handed over some money. ”Boss Lady, could I have two bottles of green tea?”

Seeing this, the Boss Lady smiled and took two bottles of green tea from the fridge at the back. Then she said, ”Let me tell you, Doctor Li has a peculiar personality. Coming without a patient, you’ll certainly be turned away.”
