Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 132: Chapters 94-95: Knocking on the Door/Sparring Practice_2

”Luoluo, did you see that? Tangtang has a crush on our bro. Hurry up and set them up, we can’t miss out on a perfect match.”

”Nuonuo, you’ve fallen for someone else just after one class?” Tang Luo rested her forehead on her hand seriously: ”I’m so worried, you’re so fickle. How can our bro find such an inconstant girlfriend? I’m much better, Luoluo, make me your sister-in-law instead, I’m absolutely loyal.”

Ying Nuo tilted her little head back: ”Dead meat Tangtang, you’re asking for a beating, just because you’re now closer to Luoluo doesn’t mean you can take my place, hmph, your scheming is useless.”

”So you’re admitting that you’re Luoluo’s future sister-in-law?” Tang Luo’s eyes shone with the excitement of a successful plot, and feeling tricked, Ying Nuo punched her: ”You just love to bully me!”

”Let’s stop messing around, I haven’t even asked about the serious matter yet.” Tang Luo’s gaze shifted to Luo Ye: ”Luoluo, has Mr. Yu agreed to the seat change?”

”Yeah, did he agree?” Ying Nuo also looked eagerly at Luo Ye.

Luo Ye intentionally sighed and didn’t speak for a long time; Tang Luo and Ying Nuo’s faces fell, thinking that of course, the homeroom teacher wouldn’t agree just for the sake of face.

Just as the two racked their brains to come up with comforting words, Luo Ye smiled and nodded: ”He agreed!”

”You’re so mean, super mean, you nasty Luoluo, fooling us like that.” Feeling toyed with, the two pounced on him to scratch Luo Ye, shouting, ”I’m going to scratch you to death!”

”Luoluo, it would be great if you and I were seated together. Being desk mates with Princess Rong is really depressing.” Tang Luo’s little face scrunched up bitterly: ”She really acts like she’s a princess.”

”Mutter about it a few more times, maybe your wish will come true. Come on, class is starting.” Luo Ye pulled the two along, hastening their steps. Ying Nuo gloomily muttered: ”Had I known, I would’ve studied the sciences properly and wouldn’t have ended up like this.”

”What end?” Luo Ye asked amusedly.

”The plight of being all alone.”

Luo Ye: ”...”

Suddenly, Tang Luo smacked her forehead: ”Luoluo, did you mean that Mr. Yu agreed for me and you to be desk mates? Did he?”

”Who knows, you figure it out.”

”Awesome, just by the tone of your voice I know Mr. Yu agreed. Ahahaha...”

”Tangtang, you’re showing off in front of me on purpose, aren’t you? Annoying, you took my spot.” Mou Nuo started getting sour again.

...

During the second class, Yu Qing didn’t mention the seat change, nor did his gaze drift toward Luo Ye. As the bell rang for recess, he grabbed his books and quickly left the classroom, clearly trying to avoid something.

Luo Ye frowned, suspiciously observing Yang Xing, who, on the contrary, acted normally, with no improper harassment directed at her. Yet Luo Ye didn’t quite believe this had nothing to do with him - as the homeroom teacher, it’s impossible for him to not keep his word, right?

”Luo Ye, is there anything I can help with?”

Luo Ye really wanted to punch that smiling handsome face; no need to ask, his confident demeanor said it all. It reminded her of Mr. Yu who wouldn’t dare to contradict the leadership’s hint.

Tang Luo ran over and pulled Luo Ye to a secluded corner, asking anxiously: ”What’s going on? Didn’t you say Mr. Yu agreed? I’ve been waiting all class long.”

Luo Ye’s eyes showed a cold glint: ”He did agree, and I think, when I left the classroom, Yang Xing guessed what I was doing. With just a text or a phone call, he could resolve matters before me, couldn’t he?”

Tang Luo turned red with rage: ”How could he be so despicable? I thought you were just young and naive to reject him, now I take it back. We absolutely can’t have someone like that, it’s too nasty. He knows he can’t press down my Uncle Luo with his father’s position, so he resorts to this tactic. How shameless can his father be? To do such things for his son?” After a moment of deep thought and tapping her head: ”But as far as I know, the Yang family has a strong background, they shouldn’t be doing such idiotic stuff, right? Luoluo, are you hiding something from us?”

”There’s nothing I’m hiding, but there is one thing I’ve only just learned. The Yang family regards my grandpa’s influence highly, that’s why they would do such shameless things. Of course, in their eyes, this isn’t shameless, it’s just creating an opportunity for both sides to get closer. Presumably, my parents wouldn’t object, that must be their thinking.”

Tang Luo was taken aback: ”Your grandfather? Which family is he from?”

”Tangtang, this is a long story, I’ll tell you when we have time. For now, I’ll go ask Mr. Yu and clarify things. If he wants to play, I’ll play along till the end.”
