Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 108: Chapters 84-85 The Origin of Resentment/Matchmaking_2

As his fiancée, when she sought his comfort and support after the incident, she received such a response, and the other party was going to get engaged with another woman in just three days; her desperation at that moment was imaginable.

Starting over, it was already good enough that she did not plan to take revenge on him, but he still annoyingly clung to her like a shadow?

”Alright, I’ll keep my distance and give you some time.” Yang Xing quickly stepped aside, not knowing what was wrong, but he felt guilty under Luo Ye’s gaze.

”Humph!” Luo Ye quickly walked away with Tang Luo and Ying Nuo, wanting to say that the other party should never appear within her sight again, but realistically, she knew that was not feasible.

”Ye’er, why do I feel like you have a deep grudge against Yang Xing?” Tang Luo carefully observed Luo Ye’s expression: ”I’m not speaking for him, I am just analyzing the facts. His appearance is indeed attractive to girls, his family background, as you can see from his clothes, is either rich or noble. His personality is also acceptable, being directly recommended to Beijing University means his studies are excellent, and he didn’t glance at any other girl while talking to you just now, such an outstanding boy but your attitude really makes me wonder.”

”Tang Luo, it’s not a deep grudge. He is the son of the current mayor. During summer break when I wasn’t around, he and his father came to my home seeking a marriage alliance. He knows I don’t like him yet they used their power to pressure my family. How can I have a good attitude towards him?

The key point is, he has been ambiguously involved with another girl for several years, and that girl even stayed over at their house this summer. Just like that, he dumped her. Tell me, can such a man be trusted?” She couldn’t reveal the real reason but she couldn’t remain silent either. After all, Tang Luo and Ying Nuo were her best friends, and the two points she mentioned were indeed true.

Tang Luo nodded: ”I see, but I still feel Luo Ye’s reaction is a bit too intense. Well, let’s just say Little Douding is still inexperienced and got angry out of embarrassment. That sounds more reasonable.”

”Luo Ye, no matter what decision you make, I support you!” Ying Nuo provocatively glanced at Tang Luo: ”Unlike some people, who even speak for outsiders.”

”Who was the first to speak for an outsider just now?” Tang Luo’s counter-question left Ying Nuo gaping, oh right, she seemed to have spoken for someone else earlier.

Seeing the two about to start bickering again, Luo Ye quickly intervened: ”Stop it, let’s go to the classroom to greet the classmates, I’m going home soon.

If you are interested, you can come with me. My Grandpa is at my house, working in our little vegetable patch, and also, we have a new member in our family, Little Songqiu, a little white Pekingese, really fun.”

Ying Nuo exclaimed in surprise: ”A Pekingese? I like it, I want to see.”

Tang Luo sighed helplessly: ”I really, really want to go too, but unfortunately, my parents are visiting today, I have to stay at home on duty.”

”Poor child, I’ll watch and hug it for you.” Ying Nuo patted Tang Luo’s head, looking somewhat schadenfreude.

Tang Luo rolled her eyes: ”Little Vinegar Lady!”

...

As soon as Yang Xing stepped into the house, Mrs. Yang Wang Liqing came up to greet him, seeing her son’s gloomy face, she quickly asked: ”Xingxing, what’s wrong? Your face looks so down, who has upset my precious son?”

”Mom, it’s nothing, it’s just too hot and I’m not in a good mood, I’m going to take a shower.” Without letting Wang Liqing ask further, Yang Xing quickly returned to his bedroom.

Wang Liqing glanced doubtfully at her son, shook her head and called her husband: ”Old Yang, about our son’s school transfer, didn’t you settle it well with the school?”

”Of course I settled it well. I had Xiao Yin handle it. With Xingxing’s grades, even without pulling strings, the school would be extremely welcoming,” Yang Songping replied irritably.

Wang Liqing explained: ”Not about that, didn’t you arrange for him to be in the same class as Luo Ye? Our son got back from school very early today, his face looked really off. He didn’t tell me anything when I asked.”

”That’s impossible, the principal is clever, Xiao Yin just hinted and they agreed to arrange the two kids in the same class. Something else must be wrong. Don’t call me about these trivial matters anymore, everybody has their frustrating moments, don’t fuss over nothing.”

”When have I ever...” Listening to the dial tone at the other end, Wang Liqing hung up the phone feeling down, glanced at her son’s closed door and helplessly returned to her own room.
