Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 107: Chapters 84-85 The Origins of Hatred/Forced Match

The brat who’s spamming my feed, just shoot me, I’m not going to work today, woke up late, I’ll definitely be on time tomorrow.

Tang Luo and Ying Nuo noticed something was off with Luo Ye’s expression. Following her gaze, they glanced at each other and stuck out their tongues — Yang Xing’s name was strikingly listed.

Ying Nuo gently poked Luo Ye, ”Luoluo, actually, I think he’s not that bad. He’s handsome and really devoted to you. Why don’t you like him?”

Luo Ye glared at Ying Nuo unhappily, ”Don’t tell me you’ve been bought over.”

”No.” Ying Nuo giggled, ”It’s just that during the summer break, I bumped into him at the mall. From afar he came running to ask about you, he seemed really frustrated because he couldn’t see you.”

Tang Luo scoffed, ”Traitor!”

Ying Nuo hastily defended, ”I am no traitor! He asked me about Ye’er’s preferences, and I deliberately played dumb, didn’t give away anything. I’m just not saying how I really feel in front of him, trying not to let Luoluo miss out on a good match.”

Luo Ye, with a serious face, stared at the two, ”Nuonuo, Tangtang, I declare once again, I do not like this person, and I never will. It’s best if you two don’t like him either. Of course, I won’t force this matter; decide for yourself.”

”Got it, we won’t like him either,” Tang Luo said with a smile, scratching Luo Ye, ”Cheer up, don’t let irrelevant people affect your mood.”

”Someone is coming, let’s stop talking.” Ying Nuo checked the time, ”I just noticed, we came really early, hehe... not many people are around.”

Tang Luo poked Ying Nuo’s forehead, ”Silly, it’s not that we came really early, it’s that everyone who came early has checked the notice board and gone back to their classes to catch up. This is our last chance to be together, shall we go back and check?”

Ying Nuo nodded, ”Sure, it feels sad to part ways now. Luoluo, what do you think?”

”Alright, let’s go back and take a look.” Luo Ye didn’t want to dampen their spirits, so agreed to go together.

”Ye’er, have you checked the notice board? From now on, we are in the same class. Aren’t you happy?” On their way, they ran into Yang Xing walking towards them.

Wearing a white and blue Nike tracksuit, 182 cm of sturdy build, dark wheatish skin, narrow eyes, a prominent nose, and well-defined lips, his appearance under the sunlight attracted numerous glances from girls, many of whom looked at Luo Ye enviously as he greeted her.

Luo Ye ignored Yang Xing’s inquiry, her face tightened as she pulled Ying Nuo and Tang Luo to continue walking. Yang Xing quickly followed and smiled at Ying Nuo and Tang Luo, ”Hello again, it’s great to see you both. As we are all classmates now, please take care of each other.”

With Luo Ye’s reminder, both hence awkwardly smiled without replying.

Luo Ye sighed and stopped walking, ”Yang Xing, what do you want?”

Yang Xing looked innocent, ”I just walked around the school after checking the notice board, and happened to run into you guys. I only know you in the whole school, can’t Ye’er show a little hospitality?”

”Ye’er is not what you should call me. I’m Luo Ye.”

”Ye’er...” Seeing Luo Ye’s forbiddingly dark face, Yang Xing quickly corrected, ”Alright, Luo Ye, is that okay now? Why do you hate me so much? It’s because of you that I transferred here instead of accepting the direct admission offer from Beijing University. Had I known you disliked me so much, I wouldn’t have given up that opportunity.”

”Yang Xing, I really don’t want to hit anyone, but if you keep showing off, you’ll bear the consequences. I hate people doing sneaky stuff behind my back, and also, keep your distance from me now, got it?” Luo Ye clenched her fist quietly, realizing very firmly, whether in past or present life, the Yang Family sought the power of the Wen Family, and she was just a pawn for them to get closer to Wen Family.

Thus, when the Luo Family had issues and Wen Family did not react, the Yang Family quickly cut off ties, leaving her adrift to fend for herself.

If Yang Xing had merely left her due to family business reasons without any sneaky moves, she could treat him as any other stranger without disgust or hate.

But when she became an orphan, he not only pushed her into the well but also ruthlessly threw stones, truly adding insult to injury.

”Ye’er, I’m sorry, I had to break off our engagement due to family pressure. But you are still the one I love the most. I can’t bear to give up like this, nor will I allow it, Ye’er, be my lover instead!” These words, to this day, she remembered clearly.
