Chapter 812: Chapter 795: Instruction

[Torso Breathing Technique], the basic breathing method of Iwami Country swordsmen, is also one of the profound breathing techniques.

In battles, the Turtle Fist often has the advantage in matches between amateurs.

However, for experienced fighters, posture is the key point that determines victory.

An excellent and stable posture allows a warrior to have stronger and faster muscle recruitment capabilities and the body’s reactions to be quicker.

It’s like after an exchange of blows, while the enemy is still regaining balance, you’ve already thrust the knife forward again.

The [Torso Breathing Technique] is the method that can stabilize posture.

Moreover, it not only stabilizes posture during combat but also automatically adjusts abnormal body postures in daily life, maintaining good bone and muscle development.

It is one of the rare types with health benefits in the lifetime technique summary of the old battle-crazy man, the Iwami Yixin, the Iwami Sword Saint.

Those swordsmen of Iwami Country, even when aged with loose skin and large wrinkles. But beneath the loose skin, the muscles still show marks like ’fiber strands’.

And their posture while walking, sitting, and lying down is upright, unlike what you’d expect from the normal aging process of humans.

This is an advanced technique that automatically changes the body of its practitioners.

Rong Buqiu’s current condition is quite similar to Ciri’s.

The two of them are the light and small strength type, starting with the [Torso Breathing Technique] to guide their body’s growth onto the right track, laying a foundation, is never wrong.

The Hunter training Ciri had received earlier and the Royal Family education of Sintra clearly differ from this technique with Eastern philosophical connotations.

This made her distracted when Lann was instructing her on breathing.

Because in her mind, the process of ’training’ and ’becoming powerful’ subconsciously felt like it should involve moving hands and feet, bleeding, and sweating.

The crisis in her mind made her feel like this was a waste of time, thus unable to stabilize her mind.

Rong Buqiu performed quite well, seemingly because in the monster world, there was also an atmosphere similar to Eastern culture.

So having interacted with many Hunter and Hunting Cats, Rong Buqiu is well aware that this seemingly uneventful ’still technique’ is very powerful too.

The Three-Floral Kitten earnestly tried this unfamiliar breathing technique, and during this process, Xiaohua’s face reflected contemplation, tentatively bouncing and punching.

Soon, it revealed a look of surprise.

”My muscles switch between relaxation and tension faster meow! So amazing meow!”

Beside her, Ciri looked at Rong Buqiu with a small doubtful and surprised gaze.

’Really? Does it work that well?’

The gaze clearly conveyed this message.

And Lann also noticed Ciri’s expression.

But he had no way to change Ciri’s current restless mentality because the root of this restlessness came from the insecurity spawned by wars, the downfall of her country, and witnessing relatives dying before her eyes.

It was a psychological disorder and trauma.

Wanting this girl with post-war trauma to settle down and learn something, Lann could only first describe to her the prospects of this technique after mastering it.

Letting her become clear and confident might allow her to relax from the urgency spawned by insecurity.

So facing Rong Buqiu and Ciri, Lann put his hands on his hips, sighed, and placed his palm low before them.

The Three-Floral Kitten and the little girl immediately leaned forward curiously, staring at Lann’s lowered palm.

”Come, first let you feel the effect of mastering this technique.”

Lann crooked his palm.

”Hit my hand, with a weapon.”

Rong Buqiu looked at her own small cat pickaxe and the Plundering Saber hanging on her waist, finally setting her eyes on Ciri.

Ciri also understood Rong Buqiu’s meaning, so without hesitation, she drew the wooden short sword from her waist and chopped towards Lann’s palm.

Without a doubt, Ciri is one of those people with good talent.

The ’Three Little Steps’ technique she learned recently was used in this attack.

A feint midway to throw off the enemy’s balance, then a sudden advance, followed by a pivot on the ankle for a sudden change in direction, and finally the last substantial attack.

This set of actions, if faced with ordinary mercenaries or soldiers, would basically cause the blade to draw blood.

But she faced Lann’s palm, so the young Demon Hunter simply watched quietly as Ciri completed a series of feints. In the face of the feint, there wasn’t even a sign of his arm moving.

There’s nothing to laugh at here, for beginners of swordplay, being completely seen through by a master is basic state.

Feeling reverence towards one’s teacher is a path every warrior must go through.

In the past, Lann even thought Bordeaux was so strong he wasn’t human.

And it must be said that the completion of Ciri’s set of actions was quite high, enough to reflect her talent and the sweat she’s put in recently.

And confronting the last incoming wooden short sword, Lann’s palm lifted gently at the exact time window, at an equally precise angle.

A gentle ’thump’ sound.

Since Lann wasn’t wearing leather gloves with attached armor plates, and Ciri wasn’t using a steel blade, the iconic circle of sparks from [Iwami Style: Climbing Carp] didn’t burst out.

There was just a burst of wood splinters and dust, under the pressure of airflow between finger and wooden sword, creating a not very obvious circle in mid-air.

And as the executor of this thrusting sword, fear and panic were obviously flashing in Ciri’s eyes.

Because her seemingly nimble footwork, after this exchange, felt completely out of her control!

She could only, under the body’s instinct to maintain balance, spread her hands widely to the sides, swaying frantically.

With the swinging force of her arms, she barely managed not to fall over in the next second.

This was what it looked like when one’s stance was broken by [Iwami Style].

Though her muscle and bone conditions were still fine, her coordination capability was completely disrupted, as if external force jammed the muscle movement process.

And when Ciri finally regained her balance, she found that Lann’s hand had already stretched out a finger, lightly resting it on her throat while her hands were wide open.

Using speed and strength no greater than that of an ordinary person, this girl, who has trained diligently for half a year, couldn’t even withstand a single move against such a hand.

Pure skill won the day.

”This is the importance of posture.”

Lann gently withdrew his long, straight finger, speaking in the surprised gaze of Rong Buqiu and Ciri.

”And you are the example of what it’s like when your posture is broken.”

”In just that second, even if I were holding a simple nail file, your neck would have already had a fatal cut.”
