The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2635: Samsara Lord’s power

The shadow that appeared above Cain and Nito was none other than the colossal Ouroboros itself.

The great serpent of life and death opened its massive jaws and plunged downward toward the Curse Eater.

Nito’s eyes widened as an overwhelming sense of danger filled his heart. For the first time since the battle had begun, the shadow of death loomed directly over him.

The diving Ouroboros carried power approaching the Half-Step Fourth Realm. If the attack landed directly, it could inflict fatal injuries even upon someone as powerful as him, especially in his current weakened state.

Without hesitation, Nito attempted to retreat.

Yet before he could take a single step, the Wings of Chaos unfurled behind Cain.

The colossal scarlet wings expanded in every direction, sealing every possible avenue of escape. They stretched across the battlefield like a divine cage, ensuring that Nito could not evade the attack.

Of course, that also meant Cain himself would be forced to endure the full force of the Ouroboros’ descent.

Yet there was not the slightest hesitation in his eyes.

Unlike Noah, who always sought the safest path to victory, Cain was willing to wager everything if it meant securing triumph.

Finally, the Ouroboros descended.

Its jaws swallowed both warriors whole.

The next instant, an explosion of life and death erupted from its body.

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!”

The Empyrean World shook violently.

The void surrounding it trembled as cracks spread through space itself.

The battlefield froze.

Alliance warriors and Curse Eaters alike halted their clashes and turned toward the distant horizon, where a colossal pillar of destruction had erupted into existence.

Its heat was so overwhelming that even Alpha Omega Overgods stationed countless kilometers away instinctively retreated.

Their skin burned.

Their souls trembled.

If merely standing near the edge of the blast produced such effects, none of them could imagine what horrors existed at its center.

Several long seconds passed before the pillar of energy finally began to dissipate.

When the blinding radiance faded, a gigantic crater remained.

At its center stood two figures.

Cain’s condition was horrific.

Large portions of his skin had been incinerated, exposing charred muscles and scorched flesh beneath. His internal injuries were even more severe. Cracks spread throughout his Primordial Body, and blood continuously flowed from countless wounds.

Yet despite all that, his life force remained astonishingly powerful.

The overwhelming endurance he had forged through countless battles prevented his body from collapsing.

And that was not all.

Purple runic lines spread across his flesh.

The Samsara Runic Set activated immediately.

Massive quantities of energy surged through his body as regeneration began restoring the damage.

The amount of energy consumed was staggering.

Even with the support of the Ouroboros Stronghold replenishing his reserves, Cain could only partially heal himself.

Still, that was enough.

His body stabilized.

His grip remained firm around Tyranus Gungnir.

A murderous light appeared in his eyes as he turned toward his opponent.

Nito’s condition was far worse.

The Curse Eater possessed incredible power, but he lacked both Cain’s monstrous endurance and the regenerative abilities granted by the Samsara Immortal Body.

His entire figure appeared petrified.

Layers of blackened stone covered his body, as though he had been transformed into a burned statue.

For several seconds, he remained completely motionless.

Silence spread across the battlefield.

”Did we win?”

The thought echoed through the minds of countless warriors belonging to the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance.

If Nito truly died here, then the war would effectively be over.

There would be no one left capable of challenging the Scarlet King directly.

The remaining Curse Eaters would eventually be overwhelmed.

Within days, perhaps weeks, this Empyrean World would once again belong to the Alliance.

Even Cain felt hope rising within his heart.

Victory seemed within reach.

The end of the war could begin today.

”One more attack...”

Cain clenched his teeth.

Drawing upon the last reserves of strength remaining within his body, he surged forward.

The Curse Eaters immediately reacted.

Fear appeared in their eyes.

Dread gripped their hearts.

Yet none of them possessed the speed necessary to intervene.

All they could do was watch.

Tyranus Gungnir flashed through space.

The double-headed spear pierced directly into Nito’s chest.

Victory.

The word was already forming in the minds of everyone present.

Yet just as it was about to echo across the battlefield, something happened.

Nito’s forehead trembled.

Everything about the Curse Eater had been petrified by the blast.

Everything except one thing.

The third eye on his forehead.

The scorched eyelids slowly opened.

Only a fraction of a millimeter.

Yet that tiny movement caused the entire battlefield to freeze.

The instant the eye appeared, reality seemed to stop.

Every warrior felt it.

A force beyond life and death.

Beyond creation and destruction.

A power that transcended everything they understood.

And no one was more shocked than Cain.

Because he recognized that aura.

He had felt it before.

An aura belonging to the most extraordinary being he had ever encountered.

A legend whose existence surpassed countless worlds.

A man whose power and wisdom had inspired awe even within the Scarlet King.

The Samsara Lord.

Before Cain could recover from his shock, Nito moved.

The petrified body exploded with power.

His speed surpassed even the heights he had displayed moments earlier.

A fist shot forward.

It struck directly into Cain’s chest.

The Scarlet King’s eyes widened.

He felt every bone in his ribcage shatter instantly.

Blood erupted from his mouth.

His body was launched across the battlefield like a meteor.

The ground exploded beneath him as he rolled through countless kilometers of terrain.

Yet Nito was not finished.

Still gripping Tyranus Gungnir where it had pierced his chest, he grabbed the weapon’s shaft and ripped it free.

The third eye opened slightly wider.

Immediately, its power flooded into the spear.

The souls contained within Tyranus Gungnir began screaming.

Legion’s side roared in agony.

Robuke’s essence lashed out wildly.

The invading force was attempting to overwrite the weapon’s will entirely.

For a brief moment, it seemed as though Tyranus Gungnir might be corrupted.

Then a powerful pull erupted from the distance.

The spear trembled violently.

With a burst of resistance, it broke free from Nito’s grasp and flew through the air.

A moment later, it landed firmly in Cain’s hand.

The Scarlet King tightened his grip.

He immediately reinforced his connection with the weapon, stabilizing the damage inflicted by the third eye’s influence.

Only then did he use Tyranus Gungnir as support to rise back to his feet.

Blood continued to drip from his body.

His breathing was heavy.

Yet his gaze remained unwavering.

Cain stared at Nito’s petrified figure, and a solemn expression appeared on his face.

For several long seconds, Cain did not move. The power that Nito just unleashed shocked him to the core, and he was in no position to respond.

The battlefield had fallen completely silent.

Even the clashes between the Alliance warriors and the Curse Eaters gradually slowed as countless eyes focused on the two figures standing amidst the devastated wasteland.

Cain remained leaning on Tyranus Gungnir, blood dripping from the corners of his mouth. His chest rose and fell heavily, every breath carrying a faint tremor. Across from him stood Nito, his body still resembling a shattered statue forged from scorched stone.

Yet something was changing.

A strange radiance began to emerge from the partially opened third eye on Nito’s forehead.

The power was ancient.

Absolute.

Beyond the understanding of nearly everyone present.

Thin streams of purple flowed from the eye and spread throughout Nito’s body.

The petrified layers covering him began to break apart.

Fragments of stone fell away, revealing flesh beneath.

The shattered muscles reformed.

Broken bones reconnected.

Even the massive hole left by Tyranus Gungnir slowly closed.

Gasps erupted across the battlefield.

The Curse Eaters felt hope reignite in their hearts.

As for the Alliance, solemn expressions appeared on countless faces.

Nito’s aura surged once more.

Not to the terrifying level it had reached when the third eye first opened, but enough to make everyone understand that he was recovering.

Cain’s eyes narrowed.

He could feel it clearly.

The power was not Nito’s.

It belonged to the existence behind that eye.

The Samsara Lord.

However, just as the healing seemed ready to restore Nito completely, something unexpected happened.

The third eye trembled violently.

The silver-gold radiance flickered.

Then, without warning, the eyelid slammed shut.

”UGH!”

A pained groan escaped Nito’s mouth.

The Curse Eater staggered backward.

Blood began flowing from the corners of the closed eyelid.

More and more blood emerged, running down his forehead and cheeks like crimson tears.
