The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2602 Evolving to the Half-Step Fourth Realm through pure rage

As they gazed upon the devastation left in the wake of that cataclysmic explosion, something else slowly drew the attention of the abominations of the Root and the Curse Eaters. Amid the collapsing remnants of warped space-time and the fading shockwaves of destruction, a single figure hovered in the void—frail, broken, and barely alive.

It was Cain.

The young manʼs condition was nothing short of horrific. His right arm was completely gone, torn away as if it had never existed. His eyes had sunken into their sockets, lifeless and dim, while his skin clung tightly to his bones, giving him the appearance of a corpse that had been drained of all vitality. There was no trace of the overwhelming power he had displayed moments ago. Instead, what remained was a body pushed far beyond its limits.

His life force flickered weakly, so unstable that it seemed it could dissipate at any second. His soul force was in an equally fragile state, fractured and dim, while his will—the unbreakable core that had always defined him—was almost entirely exhausted. The faint glow in his eyes barely persisted, like the last ember of a dying flame.

”YOU!”

Robukeʼs voice thundered across the void, carrying with it an overwhelming tide of rage, hatred, and grief. That single word was enough to convey the depth of his fury. The Gift of the Root that empowered him thrived on such emotions, feeding upon hatred and amplifying it into raw, destructive power. And at this moment, there had never been a being more consumed by rage than him.

The loss of the Worlds of the Root had shattered something fundamental within him.

His aura ignited violently as his fury spiraled out of control. From his grotesque, mutated body, hundreds of writhing tendrils of rotting flesh burst forth, lashing across the battlefield with terrifying speed. They pierced through nearby abominations without hesitation, impaling ArchDeity-level entities and dragging them toward him as their agonized screams echoed through the void.

Their resistance meant nothing.

One after another, they were devoured.

Their flesh dissolved, their blood evaporated, their souls shattered and absorbed. Champions and High Lords of the Root were not spared either. They too were seized, consumed, and reduced to nothing more than fuel.

Horror spread among the remaining forces, but there was no stopping it.

”BOOM!”

A massive pillar of dark, organic plasma erupted from Robukeʼs body as his form began to expand and mutate even further. Jagged bone spikes tore through his flesh, emerging from his shoulders, elbows, knees, and skull, giving him a nightmarish, monstrous appearance.

His power surged explosively.

In a matter of seconds, he surpassed the Peak Alpha Omega Overgod rank, pushing into a realm of strength that distorted the surrounding space. And still, his aura continued to rise, fueled endlessly by his rage.

Without hesitation, he lunged toward Cain.

His massive wings beat with terrifying force, sending violent gusts of chaotic energy rippling outward as he closed the distance in an instant. His speed was overwhelming, driven not by calculation, but by pure, unrestrained fury.

The reaction among the powerhouses of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance was immediate.

Panic.

They could all see the truth of the situation. Cainʼs earlier display of power had been unparalleled, but the cost had been devastating. In his current state, he was in no condition to fight. The Samsara Runic Set was the only thing preserving the last fragments of his life, barely keeping him from collapsing into nothingness.

If Robukeʼs attack landed, Cain would die.

Yet, despite their urgency, none of them could intervene. The Curse Eaters moved swiftly, forming an impenetrable blockade that cut off all paths to Cain. They understood the stakes just as clearly. The loss of the Worlds of the Root was a catastrophic blow, but if they could eliminate the Scarlet King now, they could still salvage victory.

All eyes turned toward Noah.

If there was anyone capable of breaking through and saving Cain, it was the Crimson Exarch.

But Noah did not move.

He simply stood there, a faint smile on his face, his gaze fixed on the unfolding scene with quiet interest, as though he were observing an experiment rather than a battlefield.

Robuke, however, had no attention to spare for anyone else.

His focus was absolute.

His eyes locked onto Cain as he closed the final distance. His power continued to climb, surpassing the very limits of the Third Realm, fueled entirely by his unrelenting hatred.

”DIE!”

His roar shook the void as he raised his massive war axe high above his head. Every ounce of his power was poured into that single strike, his muscles swelling as he prepared to cleave Cain in half.

And just as the weapon began its descent—

Cain smiled.

It was faint, almost imperceptible, yet unmistakable.

In that same instant, two flames ignited within his body.

One burned within his heart.

The other ignited within his mind.

”BOOOOOOOOM!”

An explosion of power erupted outward, so immense and sudden that it blasted Robuke backward through the void before his attack could connect. The force alone was enough to send shockwaves rippling across the battlefield, momentarily halting the flow of combat.

Robuke quickly regained control of his body, his rage still burning fiercely, but as his eyes focused on Cain once more, something caused him to freeze.

And he was not alone.

Across the battlefield, warriors and enemies alike were stunned into silence.

Within Cainʼs chest, a flame of forty-six distinct colors burned brightly, radiating a profound and ancient power. It was unmistakable—a Tribulation Flame of the highest caliber, one that signified a Peak Alpha Omega Overgod-level enhancement.

Yet even that awe-inspiring sight was overshadowed by what lay within his mind.

A second flame burned there.

This one… contained forty-eight colors!

Its brilliance was overwhelming, its presence so immense that it caused the very fabric of the universe to tremble. It was not merely powerful—it was transcendent.

Those two flames triggered the emergence of vast oceans of golden energy, flooding the void with radiant light before surging back toward Cainʼs body. The energy converged upon him in torrents, engulfing him completely until his figure was no longer visible.

And yet, everyone could feel it.

His life force, once on the verge of collapse, surged back to life with incredible intensity. His soul force stabilized and expanded, while his will, previously exhausted, reignited with renewed strength.

The damage that had seemed irreversible was being repaired. It was an impossible recovery.

The warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance watched in stunned disbelief. They had long accepted that Cain was capable of defying expectations, of breaking limits that others could not even perceive. But this… this went beyond anything they had imagined.

A double tribulation of such magnitude should not exist.

Even the Curse Eaters, beings from a higher-order world with knowledge far beyond this universe, found themselves unable to comprehend what they were witnessing. No matter how they analyzed it, the conclusion remained the same.

It was impossible.

No one—not even their king—should have been capable of achieving such a feat.

And yet, Cain stood at its center.

There was only one being who did not care for logic or understanding.

”ARGHHHHHH!”

Robukeʼs roar shattered the silence.

His rage consumed what little remained of his reason, pushing his power even further beyond its limits. The boundaries of the Third Realm bent under the pressure of his fury as he abandoned all restraint, his power reaching the Half-Step Fourth Realm.
