The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2611: Fusion of wills (I)

The reason for the gratitude in the eyes of Ao and Aioro was simple. As embodiments of the will of the Everstrife Empyrean World, they were intrinsically connected to every living being within it. Their awareness did not function like ordinary perception; instead, it extended across continents, cities, and even the smallest settlements, allowing them to feel the collective emotional state of their people. In recent times, that awareness had been filled with an overwhelming tide of fear, doubt, and uncertainty.

Those emotions were not merely unpleasant—they were dangerous.

A population trapped in a constant state of anxiety could not thrive. Growth slowed, ambition withered, and even the natural cycles of energy that sustained the world began to falter. The Everstrife Empyrean World was not just a physical construct; it was a living system, one that depended on the harmony between its inhabitants and its core. When fear dominated the hearts of its people, that harmony fractured, and the consequences rippled outward, affecting everything from cultivation to the stability of the world’s energy flow.

Ao and Aioro had tried to mitigate the damage, but their influence had limits. They could guide, support, and stabilize, yet they could not directly reshape the hearts of billions. Fear could not simply be ordered away, nor could hope be forced into existence. True change required something deeper, something that could resonate with the very essence of those who suffered.

That was where Cain’s intervention had become invaluable.

The Power of Chaos was not a force of domination, but one of connection. It did not overwrite or suppress emotion; it amplified, redirected, and harmonized. Combined with Cain’s mythic standing as the Scarlet King, it allowed him to reach into the subconscious of the people with unparalleled clarity. He did not erase their fear, nor did he deny the reality of their situation. Instead, he gave their emotions direction.

Through him, they began to understand.

They were not abandoned. They were not helpless prey waiting to be consumed by forces beyond their comprehension. The Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance had not merely survived—it had endured, adapted, and grown stronger. At a level deeper than conscious thought, the people began to believe that the tide could turn, that the same enemies who had brought destruction would one day face retribution.

Fear transformed into vigilance.

Despair gave way to determination.

And from that transformation, hope was born.

For Ao and Aioro, this was nothing short of a miracle. Not only had Cain stabilized the emotional state of the population, but he had also restored the natural flow of energy throughout the world. The Everstrife Empyrean World responded immediately, its core resonating with renewed vitality, its energy pathways clearing as the burden of collective fear lifted.

That was why they stood before him now, their expressions filled with respect and gratitude.

Cain emerged slowly from the blazing scarlet sun, its radiance still shining brilliantly behind him. The light bathed the world below in a steady glow, one that would persist for a long time, continuing to nurture the fragile hope he had ignited. His figure hovered calmly in the void, his presence alone enough to inspire confidence.

He looked at Ao and Aioro, his eyes glowing faintly with purpose.

“I will need your help,” he said.

There was no hesitation.

The old man and the young man clasped their hands and bowed in unison, their voices steady and resolute.

“We will gladly assist the World King.”

Cain gave a small nod, acknowledging their answer. The next moment, his figure vanished, reappearing within the throne room of the Scarlet Crown—the floating capital that served as the heart of his dominion.

The atmosphere there was heavy with power.

Taking a deep breath, Cain extended his consciousness outward. Through Ao, he connected to the life force of the entire Everstrife Empyrean World, sensing every pulse of energy, every fluctuation, every hidden current. Then, through Aioro, he went deeper still, linking himself to the very essence of the world’s core.

The influx of information was immense.

Under normal circumstances, even a mind as powerful as Cain’s would struggle to process it all. However, the [A.I. Chip Module] operated seamlessly alongside his consciousness, organizing, analyzing, and refining the data with flawless efficiency. Countless simulations had already been conducted during his time of rest, but theory alone was not enough.

Now, he had to act.

Closing his eyes, Cain reviewed the conclusions he had reached.

“The fusion of souls… is beyond my current capabilities,” he admitted internally.

It was not a matter of effort, but of limitation. He lacked the necessary domain over the soul, the depth of understanding, and the authority over the Laws required to merge souls in a stable and controlled manner. Even if he could bypass the tribulations imposed by the Universe Will, the process itself remained beyond his reach.

Furthermore, the souls within the Scarlet Throne were no longer intact.

Centuries of torment had shattered them. Their consciousness had eroded, their identities lost, leaving behind fragments too unstable to serve as a foundation for any meaningful transformation. Attempting to use them directly would yield nothing but chaotic, unusable energy.

That path was impossible.

Fortunately, the [A.I. Chip Module] had already determined an alternative.

Instead of focusing on souls, it shifted its attention to something more fundamental.

Will.

Will was a core component of the soul, yet far more resilient. Even when the mind broke and identity faded, will endured. It was instinctive, persistent, and incredibly difficult to extinguish. Within the Scarlet Throne, countless shattered beings still retained fragments of will, remnants that could be extracted, refined, and repurposed.

This approach was not without challenges.

Manipulating will on such a scale required extraordinary precision, and failure could result in catastrophic instability. However, Cain possessed a unique advantage. As the greatest master of the Ego Eternal Path of Power in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, and as a wielder of Chaos, his control over will was unmatched.

If anyone could accomplish this, it was him.

Taking another deep breath, Cain finalized his calculations. Once satisfied, he opened his eyes and summoned the Scarlet Throne.

The gates materialized before him, vast and imposing.

He stepped through them without hesitation.

Inside, the realm stretched endlessly.

It had grown far beyond its original form, expanding with every battle fought, every enemy defeated, and every fragment of essence absorbed. This was not merely a storage space—it was a living domain, shaped by the countless souls that had been drawn into it.

The landscape was both magnificent and horrifying.

Forests of towering, lifeless trees stretched across vast regions, each tree representing a fallen soul. Lakes filled with drifting phantoms shimmered under the crimson sky, their forms flickering like fading memories. Mountains rose in the distance, each one embodying the essence of a powerful enemy who had once stood against the Scarlet King.

Among them, one structure stood above all others.

A colossal mountain dominated the center of the realm.

Its surface formed the outline of a face twisted in eternal rage, its expression frozen in a scream that would never be heard. Embedded within it was a massive sword, its presence anchoring the construct in place. The aura emanating from it was overwhelming, a suffocating mixture of hatred, fury, and unrelenting malice.

It was Robuke.

The Monster of the Root had been reduced to this—a monument to his own rage, trapped within the Scarlet Throne, forced to endure endless torment as his essence was consumed.

Cain observed it for a moment, a cold smile forming on his lips.

Robuke’s suffering was not meaningless. His hatred, his fury, every ounce of his defiance—it all became fuel, feeding the very power that had defeated him.

Yet Cain did not linger.

His attention shifted upward.

High above, the Scarlet Stars burned brightly, each one radiating immense psychic power. They pulsed in unison, connected to the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance, serving as anchors for their will and strength.

These stars were the key.

Each of those stars began as a Scarlet Seed, formed from the soul force and ego of a warrior. Through continuous evolution, they grew into Scarlet Leviathans, and after an even longer period of refinement and consumption, they ascended into Scarlet Stars—massive celestial bodies that allowed their creators to channel a portion of the near-infinite psychic power that flooded the Scarlet Throne. In more ways than one, they were embodiments of the warriors’ will, anchors that preserved their existence even amid the chaos of war.

Cain focused his attention on those whose light had dimmed. A fleeting trace of pity crossed the Scarlet King’s eyes, for these were the Scarlet Stars whose creators had perished in battle. However, he did not allow such emotions to distract him. His gaze sharpened, resolve overtaking sentiment, as he raised his hand with calm precision.

One of the dim stars trembled violently before descending from the scarlet sky, appearing directly before him. Without hesitation, Cain extended his fingers and pierced into its core, his energy flowing inward as he established a connection. Then, shifting his focus, he directed his will toward the landmass below—more precisely, toward one of the towering trees rooted within it.

The tree began to tremble, its form twisting unnaturally. Its physical structure shattered and reformed, giving birth to a strange beast—an embodiment of the fallen warrior’s will. In an instant, the creature surged forward, drawn inexorably into the grasp of the Scarlet King.
