The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2631: One on one

Despite his eagerness to test his strength, Cain did not lose focus. While the Ouroboros Stronghold provided a foothold inside the Empyrean World dominated by the Curse Eaters, venturing beyond its boundaries would once again subject his forces to the overwhelming pressure of the world itself, drastically suppressing their power. Because of that, every movement had to be calculated with absolute precision.

Cain remained still atop the fortress walls, his sharp eyes fixed on the approaching enemy army.

Only when the Curse Eaters moved close enough to enter the domain altered by the stronghold’s laws did he finally wave his hand.

At once, the warriors of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance surged forward like countless shooting stars.

Their battle wills erupted into the heavens.

The Alliance vastly outnumbered the Curse Eaters, but numbers alone meant little at this level of battle. Even the weakest Curse Eater possessed the cultivation of an Alpha Omega Overgod, along with battle power far surpassing their actual realm. As members of an Apex Race, they wielded terrifying racial gifts and abilities capable of overturning entire battlefields.

Yet Cain had prepared for this.

Every warrior of the Alliance already knew their role.

Those who had reached the Alpha Omega Overgod Rank charged forward individually, clad in majestic armor and wielding unique weapons that resonated directly with their souls and wills. The power radiating from those armaments distorted space itself, making it clear they were no ordinary treasures.

Meanwhile, the warriors whose strength remained within the ArchDeity Rank—including those at the Half-Step Alpha Omega Overgod stage—combined their powers through Runic War Avatars.

However, these avatars were unlike anything ever seen before in the war.

Each one radiated the might of a true Overgod.

Their gigantic forms towered over the battlefield while wielding colossal weapons born from the fused powers of the Chimera Wills connected to every warrior inside. The energy they released carried not only destructive might but also overwhelming spiritual pressure capable of shaking souls.

It took less than a second for the battlefield to erupt.

Explosions powerful enough to shatter the heavens detonated above the outer walls of the Ouroboros Stronghold. Waves of force swept across the world, causing the earth to tremble violently beneath them.

The pressure generated by the clash alone was enough to flatten anyone below the Third Realm instantly.

Even Prima Deities would have their bodies torn apart merely by approaching the periphery of the battlefield.

At first, the battle descended into utter chaos.

Warriors rushed across the skies, clashing against countless opponents as storms of energy and divine techniques exploded in every direction. Space twisted repeatedly under the strain of so much power concentrated in one place.

But after several minutes, the disorder gradually subsided.

Order emerged.

The battlefield stabilized into countless individual confrontations spread across the heavens.

Ultimately, the forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance—a power established less than fifty years ago and composed largely of warriors younger than a billion years—managed to match the elites of the Tenth Empyrean World.

Every single Curse Eater found themselves forced into an individual battle.

That achievement alone was astonishing.

And it deeply shocked the Curse Eaters.

They were ancient beings who had lived for billions of years, warriors born from a civilization old enough to survive wars capable of splitting universes apart. Yet the enemies before them had reached their level in only a fraction of that time.

What made the situation even more unbelievable was the fact that less than a year ago, the Curse Eaters had completely suppressed the Alliance in every aspect.

Now, despite more Curse Eaters awakening and increasing their strength, the Alliance had evolved at an even greater speed.

They had become equals.

Of course, the Curse Eaters understood that the Ouroboros Stronghold was enhancing the energy reserves of the Alliance warriors while nullifying the suppression of the Empyrean World. Even so, the scale of the Alliance’s growth still defied reason.

One by one, the Curse Eaters turned their gazes toward the leader of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

A solemn feeling invaded their hearts.

Most of the Curse Eaters had arrived only after Cain vanished into Paradise. Before meeting him, they had heard countless rumors about the Scarlet King, yet many dismissed those stories as exaggerations born from desperation and worship.

But from the moment of his return, Cain shattered every doubt.

He annihilated the Worlds of the Root.

He defeated and consumed the Monster of the Root.

He split apart a creature whose power surpassed the limits of the Third Realm.

Those feats alone proved that the Scarlet King was a monster among monsters—a supreme genius whose might bordered on absurdity.

Yet that was only half the legend.

The other half claimed that Cain was a divine teacher, a man capable of transforming mediocre warriors into unparalleled generals. Someone who could guide others to heights they could never have reached alone.

Now the Curse Eaters realized that those rumors were also true.

In only a few months, Cain had elevated the Alliance to a level that defied all logic and common sense.

And the more majestic the Scarlet King appeared...

The more a single thought emerged within the minds of every Curse Eater present.

We have to kill him.

No one felt that more strongly than Nito.

..

Cain and Nito shot toward each other like colliding stars, their auras tearing through the battlefield with overwhelming force. The surrounding warriors instinctively retreated as violent shockwaves spread outward, shattering mountains in the distance and ripping apart the heavens themselves.

The Scarlet King gripped his double-headed spear tightly, the golden-scarlet eye at its center glowing with terrifying radiance. Streams of dark orange and scarlet energy coiled around the weapon like living dragons, radiating an aura capable of crushing souls.

Nito’s gaze sharpened as he raised his bare hands.

He carried no weapon.

His body itself was the ultimate killing machine forged by the Tenth Empyrean World.

”BOOOOOOM!”

The two finally collided.

The draconic fang of Cain’s spear slashed downward with enough force to split continents apart, yet Nito caught it head-on with his right hand. Space exploded around them as crimson and black lightning erupted in every direction.

The shockwave alone flattened entire mountain ranges beneath them.

Cain’s eyes narrowed.

Without hesitation, he twisted the shaft and spun the weapon with unbelievable mastery. The skeletal crescent spearhead swept toward Nito’s neck like a reaper’s scythe.

Nito reacted instantly.

His left arm rose and blocked the strike directly.

”CLANG!”

The sound resembled the collision of divine worlds.

A massive burst of force erupted from the clash, creating spiraling storms that devoured everything in their surroundings. Even Alpha Omega Overgods fighting nearby were forced to retreat.

Yet neither man gave ground.

Cain moved like a storm of destruction, every motion of the spear flawless and precise. Thrusts, slashes, spins, feints—his mastery over the Chimera Will weapon reached an unbelievable level. Each strike carried enough power to annihilate powerful Overgods.

Nito answered with pure physical might.

His fists and palms clashed directly against the spearheads without suffering the slightest wound. His body radiated a dark samsara aura that absorbed and redirected part of the force, allowing him to endure Cain’s monstrous attacks.

”BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!”

The battlefield trembled endlessly as the duo exchanged thousands of blows within seconds.

Scarlet-gold radiance collided against dark power again and again, generating explosions that split the sky and sent oceans of energy across the Empyrean World.

Although it might have seemed that Nito was enduring the battle without injury, the truth was far different.

His body possessed enough resilience to withstand the edge of the double-headed spear, but every single collision came at a price. Whenever his hands clashed against the weapon, he could feel something akin to invisible claws slashing at his mind and striking directly at his soul.

And that was far from all.

An insidious energy constantly attempted to invade his blood, seeking to corrupt and twist it from within.

”What is that?”

Nito’s eyes sharpened as he tried to understand the true nature of the Scarlet King’s weapon.

Of course, Cain had no intention of revealing its secrets.

A wide smile spread across his face as he continued attacking relentlessly.

For now, he was not enhancing the spear with techniques or overwhelming energy. He was merely testing the raw limits of the Chimera Will weapon through pure physical might alone.

However, that did not last long.

Soon, the light in Cain’s eyes grew sharper as the powers of Entropy and Nihility erupted from within him. The terrifying energies flowed flawlessly through the spear before he unleashed a devastating slash toward Nito’s forehead.

The Curse Eater immediately raised his arm to block.

Yet the instant the attack collided—

”BOOOOOOM!”

Nito was blasted backward.

Deep cuts appeared across both of his forearms as blood scattered through the sky.

The eyes of the surrounding Curse Eaters widened in shock.

Once the spear was enhanced by the Zero State Force, even Nito’s monstrous body could no longer endure its edge unharmed.
