The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2607: Evolved modules

Cain’s eyes widened as he heard that final statement, but before he could utter a single word, Noah’s presence had already vanished into the Endless River. The silence that followed felt heavier than any battlefield, as if the void itself was pressing down on him.

His origin. His past reincarnation. The truth behind the Absolute Life Form System.

All of those were questions that, even with his current power, remained far beyond his reach. Yet according to Noah, the answers lay within the Ancestor Tomb in Paradise.

Of course, Cain was not naïve enough to trust that claim blindly. The NeoPrimarch had already used him once as a piece in his schemes, and there was no guarantee this was any different. If anything, it was likely another layer in a far more intricate plan. Still, there was one undeniable truth—Paradise, the Ancestor Tomb, and the Sacred Kings that emerged from it were deeply tied to both the Power of Chaos and the Power of Order. That connection alone made it impossible to ignore.

Even so, no matter how much Cain desired those answers, they would have to wait.

His gaze sharpened as he forced his focus back onto the present. The war was far from over.

As he analyzed every aspect of the battlefield, a heavy weight settled over his shoulders. Yes, he had destroyed the Worlds of the Root. Yes, he had devoured Robuke, eliminating a terrifying powerhouse and cutting off the enemy’s endless supply of expendable forces. But none of that meant victory was within reach.

If anything, the road ahead had only grown more dangerous.

Of the seven remaining Empyrean Worlds, three were already under the control of the Curse Eaters. Reclaiming them would not be a simple conquest—it would be a brutal, drawn-out war drenched in blood.

Cain inhaled slowly as the power of the Flow surged within his eyes. Space bent to his perception, allowing him to peer across impossible distances toward the traitorous Empyrean Worlds. Unfortunately, even with the Flow, a powerful barrier cloaked them, preventing any detailed analysis.

Still, he could feel it.

The energy radiating from those worlds was terrifying—so dense, so concentrated, that if it were unleashed all at once, it might be enough to kill him outright.

Noah had not been exaggerating. The Tenth Empyrean World was far stronger than the Path of Freedom or the Ancient One. Nito alone had been capable of crushing the Ancient One, and yet he was not the true leader. That individual—the one who had slain Anark even after his evolution into the Fourth Realm—stood on an entirely different level.

That kind of power surpassed Cain’s Primordial Body... and even his Royal Blutlinie Body.

And yet, despite the overwhelming pressure, Cain did not feel cornered.

Paradise had changed him.

The journey through that realm had refined his Primordial Essence, greatly strengthening his willpower. But equally importantly, it had transformed his soul. His soul force had evolved ahead of his other Paths of Power, reaching the Alpha Omega Overgod Rank before his Essence or Astral Paths could follow.

That alone granted him immense advantages—but the most significant change lay elsewhere.

The Absolute Life Form System had evolved.

The [A.I. Chip Module] had undergone a complete transformation. Its analytical and processing capabilities had increased exponentially, and they were now integrated seamlessly with Cain’s own mind. The distinction between module and user had blurred—they now functioned as one.

It was this evolution that had allowed him to analyze the Heart of the Root so quickly, to decipher the thirty-three Flow Points of the Worlds of the Root with a single glance.

And that was only the beginning.

The evolution of his soul had also unlocked the path for the advancement of the system’s other modules.

Of course, such power came at a cost.

Other than the [A.I. Chip Module], all modules required Spiritual Destiny Force—a metaphysical quantification of Cain’s destiny itself.

Even though the system had not accompanied him into Paradise, his destiny had grown immensely during his time there. The slaughter of billions of Blutlinie beings, the devouring of hundreds of Royal Blutlinie, the destruction of ancient kingdoms, the acquisition of sacred treasures, and the battle against the Nightmare Sacred King of Chaos and Order—all of it had elevated his destiny to unprecedented heights.

The moment he returned to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, the system had recognized that growth and granted him an enormous reserve of Spiritual Destiny Force.

And Cain had wasted no time using it.

The first module he chose to evolve was the one that allowed him to push his limits without hesitation—the Enhancement Module.

Closing his eyes for a brief moment, he summoned its interface.

Cain opened his eyes again, the interface fading from view.

The sheer cost of those enhancements was staggering.

The slaughter of billions, the fall of ancient empires, the treasures of the Ancestor Tomb, and the near-cataclysmic battle in Paradise had granted him a colossal reserve of Spiritual Destiny Force.

And yet, after evolving the Enhancement Module, summoning a 46 Revolution Flame and a 48 Revolution Flame, and using them to perform both a physical and spiritual Tribulation Enhancement, that vast reserve had been nearly exhausted.

”It cost me a lot,” Cain murmured quietly.

But there was no regret in his voice.

”It was worth it.”

Destroying the Worlds of the Root had not been optional—it had been necessary.

An Empyrean World conquered by the Curse Eaters could still be reclaimed. It could be fought over, liberated, restored.

But if it fell to the Root, it would be corrupted beyond salvation—twisted into a monstrous abomination that threatened the entire universe.

The fact that two Empyrean Worlds had already fallen to the Root was a devastating blow, and Cain could not allow a third to suffer the same fate.

The Scarlet King remained suspended in the void for several long minutes, silent and motionless, his mind racing as he searched for a solution.

He explored countless possibilities, weaving strategy after strategy through the enhanced calculations of his mind. Every potential course of action unfolded before him in intricate detail—schemes that might weaken their enemies, opportunities that could allow the Alliance to reclaim the lost worlds, and gambits bold enough to shift the tide of the war.

Yet none were perfect.

Every plan carried tremendous risks, and the possibility of failure remained far too high for his liking.

Still, Cain understood that hesitation was no longer an option. Action had to be taken.

Slowly, he turned toward the Golden Hall.

Even across the vast distance, he could see the entirety of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance gathered there, waiting for him. Thousands upon thousands of warriors stood in silence.

They were filled with expectation.

They waited to hear what he would say, what grand design he would unveil, what impossible path to victory he would reveal.

The sight made the weight on Cain’s shoulders feel even heavier.

But he could not show it.

That was the burden of leadership.

When people look to you for guidance, they expect certainty. Even when doubt gnaws at your mind, even when the path ahead is unclear, you must project confidence. You must become the unshakable pillar they can lean upon. Only then can they march into a battlefield where death waits at every turn and still fight with courage beyond reason.

Cain understood that better than anyone.

He took several moments to consider his first words carefully.

They would matter.

His return and overwhelming display of power had already proven that he remained a force capable of standing against even the greatest horrors of this war. But power alone was not enough. What the Alliance needed now was direction. They needed wisdom. They needed to believe there was still a road to victory.

Fortunately, Cain possessed something far more convincing than mere words.

Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward and merged with the Endless River. The currents of reality bent around him, carrying him forward with a speed that surpassed even teleportation itself.

Within moments, he appeared above the Golden Hall.

He stood there in absolute silence, suspended in the heavens as countless hopeful eyes turned toward him.

Then, with a calm motion, he raised his hand.

The void rippled.

Two massive orbs of life emerged behind him, each as large as a moon, radiating boundless vitality and ancient power.

The moment the warriors saw them, their eyes widened in disbelief.

Some began to tremble.

Others fell to their knees.

And for many, tears streamed down their faces as they understood what Cain had brought back.
