Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 770: The Negotiation. Part-1.

”Ashtel Rex... you are indeed strong. You are indeed worthy of being called the strongest man on this planet currently...”

”But alas... it’s a shame that you are not loved by the ’world’ or the ’laws’ of the ’universe’ as much as you should have been...”

”Sigh... the day you chose to protect your son from the heavenly punishment was the day you fell out of favor with the heavens. It’s a pity that you have to end like this... but... sigh...”

With a calm look on his face, the Demon King took a deep breath and used his skill.

[Destined Fate!]

[Destiny Manipulation Martial Art: New Change: Recover Status!]

Without even needing to flick a single finger, the demon king used the power of the strings of destinies to draw the energy of fate and repaired his body in an instant, completely recovering it back to its original status!

Unlike Lia, who could only temporarily strip people of their strings of destiny or alter their choices only for a small moment, the Demon King could do it all on a much larger scale and with more authority.

He could even make some changes permanent to a certain extent!

Using the strings of destinies, Nebo Dahaka altered his own body and stripped himself of the time that would need to pass for his body to recover back to full power.

This way not only was he able to easily return to his peak state, but he was also able to become more powerful due to surviving a battle to the death with Ashtel.

Only the time needed to recover from it was stripped away.

It sounded completely ridiculous and unbelievable, but that’s just how powerful the legendary skill ’Destined Fate’ was.

It could make even the impossible become possible; healing some injuries and manipulating fate and time were nothing special.

”I really didn’t want to use this power... using it makes me vulnerable to certain influences and a certain ’being’ too... but without it I don’t think I will be able to push an obstacle like you out of my way Ashtel Rex...”

”I know how you fought Neo Aldif and what you can do if you managed to get a chance like that again... I cannot afford to gamble it all like you and Neo Aldif until I have fulfilled my own goals.”

Without further delay, the Demon King stepped forward and placed his hand on Ashtel’s heart.

”You fought your entire life for the sake of your race... in a sense, we are similar and doing this to someone like you pains me greatly, but I also know that you will never back down, just like me, if I don’t properly get rid of you...”

”Maybe if possible... we can be friends in the next life.”

”Farewell, Ashtel Rex.”

[Destined Fa-]

Just when the Demon King was about to completely erase Ashtel Rex from existence and get rid of him, a voice carrying no emotions whatsoever rang out in the area, stopping the Demon King in his tracks.

”That’s Enough.”

The voice was so emotionless that it seemed as if the person speaking those words was not actually concerned about the life of Ashtel Rex and that the matter was completely irrelevant to him.

”I am already here. The distraction you created with Raika... I have already dealt with it.”

At some point, a third individual had appeared inside the ’True Paradise’ without even the owner of the realm himself noticing the intrusion.

This intrusion was caused by none other than Rio Flash himself, as no one else was capable of doing something like this in the world aside from him.

*Step* *Step*

With no hesitation in his eyes or in his movements, Rio made his way towards the two titans.

Despite being in the presence of beings powerful enough to shatter planets at a whim, Rio felt no sense of pressure, fear, or hesitation whatsoever.

Instead, he was brimming with confidence, an air of ’calmness,’ and an aura that seemed to resemble a sleeping dragon that was just waiting for the perfect moment to wake up.

And as if sensing the changes in Rio’s demeanor, the Demon King’s eyes widened in shock.

”This subtle disturbance in the ’laws’ of the universe... don’t tell me you have already reached it?”

At that question, Rio shook his head and replied in his usual emotionless voice,

”Indeed, I have reached it, but... I am not accepting the ’change’ as of yet, mainly because I have some unfinished business.”

”But of course, if you force my hand, I would have no other choice but to ’change’ right now and completely eradicate you first, Nebo Dahaka, and then the existence of the demon race from this entire galaxy.”

Rio looked straight into the eyes of the Demon King, who could make anyone in the universe feel uncomfortable with his dense miasmic aura, and spoke.

”You came to talk, didn’t you? So, act like a negotiator; don’t step out of your boundaries.”

”And just to be clear enough, this is a warning, not a request...”

To Rio, the Demon King’s miasmic aura mattered to nothing; he was perfectly fine jumping into liquid miasmic pools; just a mere remnant aura was of no concern to him.

Moreover, Rio himself had more control over miasma than the Demon King himself, so he wasn’t the slightest bit affected by the presence of the Demon King that would usually make anyone else uncomfortable.

”You... sigh... what I feared the most ended up happening after all.”

Shaking his head in dismay, the Demon King retreated and let go of Ashtel immediately after Rio’s threats.

Seeing this, Rio calmed down the anger that was about to erupt from the depths of his heart and waved his hand, summoned a reclining chair from his space ring, and placed Ashtel on it with his telekinesis.

”Let’s go; I don’t have all day to spend talking with you.”

”I have more important things to do; my clingy girlfriend is still waiting at home for me. I don’t have so much free time to waste on you old fellows that only know how to make chaos everywhere.”

Rio had to come here to save Ashtel while leaving Lia, who was in a depressed mood currently, behind to fend for herself on her own.

”Tch, be quick and summarize your speech in smaller statements; I have heard enough speeches for one day from that slippery crown bast*rd...”

Without even bothering to wait for the Demon King to reply, Rio flew to the surface of a big meteor floating in empty space.

Out of his own heart’s kindness, Rio generously summoned a table, two chairs, and a tea set.

”Come, let’s talk things out before I end up running out of patience and just blow the entire demon race apart on this planet.”

At Rio’s invitation, the Demon King obviously couldn’t help but agree and sit down patiently, waiting for Rio to make some tea for them both.

As Rio said, the Demon King was indeed here for a negotiation, not a fight, and since he was smart, he preferred not to end up on bad terms with a monstrosity like Rio

Right now was the perfect opportunity to negotiate; such an opportunity might not come again.
