Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 756: Invasion of the Demon Armies Begins.

Earth, Beast Archipelago, Island Ptichka.

”Demons! There are demons! Runn!!!”

”Oh god!! How come so many demons are able to reach our nation!?”

With Island Ptichka being closest to the direction of the demon continent, it was the first one to bear the brunt of the attack of the demon armies.

Hundreds of thousands of low and high-ranking demons rushed into the civilian areas and started rampaging everywhere.

Instead of forming a proper army, demons had decided to scatter all over the world to spread as much chaos as possible!

The moment demons appeared, hundreds of rankers also rushed over from all directions and started engaging the demons in combat, but the battles between awakeners and demons caused immense collateral damage to the entire island.

The main reason demons prefer to fight in such scattered ways is also because this way they get to do extra collateral damage instead.

If they confronted the armies of the nations in a full-out war, the battle would result in less collateral damage, as civilian areas will not be affected much.

But that wasn’t what demons wanted to see.

They wanted more chaos and more destruction.

They took pleasure in destroying innocent lives more than the battle-hardened warriors that were ready to throw away their lives just to slaughter demons.

There was no fun in killing warriors who didn’t feel fear at all; to a demon, killing innocent civilians was more entertaining.

”Huff... haa... huff...”

Amidst the ongoing chaos in the area, Miki dragged her broken leg and walked forward while leaning against a half-broken wall.

Her right leg was horribly mutilated and bent in an abstract shape; just looking at that horrific injury would be enough to make an ordinary person faint!

”Tch... It would have been better if I had gotten teleported instead...”

Miki was busy enjoying a happy time with her friends when a sudden teleportation happened.

Link and the others were all teleported away, but she wasn’t!

It was fine if she wasn’t targeted by that sudden teleportation, but the issue was that the spatial fluctuations created during those teleportations were insanely strong, and she was just an A-ranker!

She couldn’t withstand such powerful spatial fluctuations, and she barely managed to dodge a spatial fluctuation that could have blasted her body to pieces by sacrificing her leg instead!

”I have to tell Link’s father about that person who teleported them...”

Miki had seen Rio unsheathe his sword and try to attack Raika before the teleportation happened, and she was sure that the other party was likely the one who had tried to harm them.

She had to bring this knowledge to Ashtel Rex, or any other SS-ranker at any cost, or else the lives of Rio and the others would be in danger.

As a friend, she couldn’t let her friend’s life be in danger; she had to try her best to save them.

”KILLLL!!!! KILLL!!!! KILLL ALL OF THESE WEAKLINGS!!! KILL THESE DISGUSTING BEASTMEN!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!”

While Miki was busy thinking about various things in her head and was struggling to find a safe place to use the healing potion in her hand to heal her leg,

A powerful aura appeared in the sky above Island Ptichka and suppressed all the awakeners that were trying to help stop the demons.

Looking at the newly appeared demon in the sky, Miki’s entire body went stiff, and goosebumps appeared all over her body from the dangerous aura radiating out of that demon.

”An SS-ranker!? What is such a powerful demon doing here of all places!?”

All awakeners trying to stop the demons fell at a disadvantage right away, as they were all suppressed by the powerful demon demigod in an instant.

”AHAHAHAHA!!!! KILLL!!! KILLLL!!!”

The demon demigod seemed like he was not in his right mind at all; he didn’t even seem to properly react to the outside world, and the only thing revolving in his head was just violence and the thirst for blood!

The powerful demon tilted its head and set its eyes straight on Miki, who was trying to use a healing potion to heal her injuries.

Healing potions can heal beings that are associated with mana but work like acid for demonic entities, and thus demons hate them a lot.

Seeing Miki, who had a healing potion in her hand, the demon demigod immediately became angry and rushed toward her to attack!

Just when Miki thought she was going to die, a familiar power came to protect her and stop the demon.

[World Authority: Absolute Hit!]

An arrow the size of a three-story house came flying from far away and hit the demon straight in the head, sending him flying towards a volcano island!

*BOOOM!!!*

The demon crashed into the volcano, and the entire island cracked open from the sheer force of the impact!

Before Miki had time to realize what was going on, a teleportation portal opened near her, and a familiar voice entered her ears.

”Miki, take this portal and go to the underground bunker; I am leaving the task of keeping the refugees in the bunker safe to you.”

It was her father, who had come to save her.

”Dad! A person with greenish hair and pupils teleported Rio and the others away! He was wearing strange white clothes, and he had a lyre in his hand! Tell Uncle Ashtel about it if you see him!”

Riku was about to leave and confront the demon, so Miki didn’t hold back and immediately informed him about the matter.

”A man with a lyre?... Okay, I will tell Sir Ashtel if I get to see him. Now, go!”

Miki nodded her head and dragged her injured body inside the teleportation portal that her father opened.

After Miki left, Riku flew in the direction of the shattered volcano to deal with the demon general who had brought an entire battalion of the demon army to invade their nation.

He looked towards the sky and prayed in his heart.

’Sir Ashtel, you are the hope of our planet... please win, or billions of lives will be affected...’
