Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 887: Gift (2)

”Is that…”

”Is that the Sage?”

”Donʼt tell me. The rumor is true?”

”Sage Leyfon has finally taken a disciple?”

Leyfon stood in front of Selena. And he was planning to do it in a flashy way.

In the past, they had only been scheming under peopleʼs watch but never really confirmed it. But with his appearance here, it would send a message to all the people in the world.

”Are we supposed to do it here?” Selena furrowed her eyebrows.

”Of course.” Leyfon took out a pair of boots. ”In the past, my master gave me a pair of boots and put them on us. It was a symbol, telling us to walk on our own path.”

”W-What are you doing?” Selena took a step back. After all, Leyfon actually bent his knees right before her.

Leyfon smiled gently. ”Just like what my master once did for me. I will help you wear these shoes. Well, thereʼs no need for me to say it anymore. After all, you have been walking in your path this whole time.”

Leyfon didnʼt say anything or force her to wear these shoes. But if Selena rejected it, it meant he was never her teacher.

Even though her face turned red from embarrassment, Selena could only grit her teeth and look down.

Leyfon untied her shoes, took off the old shoes, and gently put on the new ones. He did it as if it was a tradition where the master humbled himself to help his student walk on their own path.

With all the witnesses around, the master-disciple relationship between the two of them was finally confirmed.

Leyfon said, ”You are more talented than me. However, Iʼm just afraid that itʼs so strong that you will end up growing bored with it. Without any rival around you, you will gradually become stagnant, just like all the world class summoners in this world.”

Selenaʼs expression turned solemn. ”You donʼt have to worry about that. Thereʼs someone by my side who I have to chase this whole time and even in the future.”

”Youʼre right…” Leyfon smiled wryly, knowing who it was. He finally stood up and patted Selenaʼs shoulders. ”I know youʼre going to become stronger. Thatʼs why you have to survive. Donʼt ever let your guard down.”

”Yes.”

”In that case, I wish you luck. Well, you have to come back. Iʼm still waiting for you to call me with my title…”

”Master…” Selena sounded as if she was moved, but her tone immediately shifted as she pointed at his hands. ”Youʼre not wiping your hands with my clothes, are you?”

”…” Leyfon paused. ”Youʼre too smart for your own good.”

”…”

On the other side of the city, Nathan had also received a present, but unlike the rest of the girls, his present wasnʼt something that would increase his power.

After all, the present came from Charlotte.

”Please take this, Husband.” Charlotte gave him a notebook.

”What is this?” Nathan examined the notebook. ”How old is this book?”

”280 years old. When I was in this world, we pushed back the aliens, you know? After knowing where youʼre planning to go, I believe this book will help you on your journey.”

”What is this book?” Nathan tilted his head in confusion.

”You want to know more about the aliens, right?”

”Yes.”

”This book refers to a hidden laboratory made by one of the greatest professors in the world, Professor Eizen Ranker. His research was related to everything that happened 500 years ago.

”How did ena appear in the first place? How did humanity discover summoning? This book would lead you to that laboratory.”

”How do you even know this kind of information?” Nathan smiled wryly.

”What are you talking about? My previous summoner, Elizabeth the Great, married only one guy in her lifetime.” Charlotte pointed at the book.

”This is the guy?” Nathan looked amused.

”Yes. Treat it as a side mission. I donʼt know how dangerous your trip will be, but you might be able to take shelter in this laboratory. Of course, if you donʼt plan to visit it, thatʼs fine as well. Iʼm not particularly interested in it anyway since it doesnʼt really contain anything about the heroʼs innate ability.”

”Well…” Nathan scratched the back of his head. ”I will visit that place, pretty sure.”

He hadnʼt learned a lot about this world after all. So, he was kind of curious about everything that truly happened, not just from the book, but from an expert who researched the topic deeper than any other.

Charlotte nodded. ”The alien territory is dangerous. The first trip has the highest mortality rate. Thatʼs why itʼs always special.

”I guess theyʼre still doing the tradition here, giving away a precious thing.” Charlotte looked around. Even though she couldnʼt see it, she was sure that the girls also had their own people visiting them.

”Ahahaha. I donʼt know that.” Nathan chuckled.

”Thereʼs nothing I can do anymore for you. I know that your team is able to defeat a warrior class mutant, but an elite class is different. Iʼm sure you understand it very well.”

”Yes.” Nathan remembered the power of an elite class that was sealed under the sea.

”If you encounter something like that, you better run as fast as possible. I believe you have at least the power to run away.”

Nathan nodded.

”In that case, take this.” Charlotte took out a paper.

”What is this?” Nathan tilted his head while examining the paper. There was a complex circle on it. ”A magic circle?”

”No. Itʼs a summoning circle that is used to free Selenaʼs father. Preferably, you bring him back here directly so that we can work on it together just to ensure his safety.

”But if itʼs not possible due to one circumstance or another, you should construct the summoning circle yourself.”

Nathan nodded. Although he was thinking about learning such a thing during his solo trip, he couldnʼt reject the idea, since the location was not far from their original route. It should be fine to take a detour.

With a smile on his face, he waved his hand. ”Then, Iʼll be off.”

”Please be careful.”
