Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 853: Possible

”I want to create a space bag.”

”A space bag?” Evelyn tilted her head in confusion. ”Elaborate.”

”Is it possible to expand a certain space with the space element? For example, I have a pouch. If we set up a magic circle, do you think it is possible to enlarge the space inside the pouch?”

This time, Evelyn considered the concept carefully. Instead of a warehouse, Nathan planned to use the pouchʼs space to solve the distance issue from the first concept. It was logical at first, but the technology wasnʼt realistic.

”I donʼt think this will succeed. First of all, I can think of three problems. The first problem is the weight. Even if we manage to enlarge the space, the weight canʼt be ignored. The more that pouch stores, the heavier it is, so that pouch will become so heavy that it will break from its own weight.

”The second problem is the magic circle. To enlarge the pouch and maintain that state, the magic circle has to be maintained as well. In other words, you have to keep supplying it with ena. For a summoner, it might be possible, but it will keep draining your energy until you run out of ena. It will become troublesome if you encounter an enemy, since your attention will be divided.

”The third problem is the space inside the pouch. While the pouch can be enlarged, your hand canʼt. In other words, when you try to reach out for an item inside the pouch, you have to enter the pouch to get it, which is dangerous, entering an item that is.”

Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought. Consulting Evelyn about it was indeed the right choice. He found out problems he wasnʼt aware of before.

ʼHeh. That magic bag in those novels… I wonder how theyʼre able to establish that creation. They never really explain things.ʼ Nathan harrumphed.

Nathan then moved to the third possible concept, which was the Space Ring. However, he tweaked the details a bit after learning all these new things from Evelyn.

”In that case, my third project is a space ring.”

”Space ring? A pouch is big enough, but itʼs still not enough. But you want something even smaller?” Evelyn frowned.

”Well, if a ring is not possible, we can go with a bracelet or something. For now, let me explain the concept itself.”

”Fine.”

Nathan took a deep breath, carefully rewording everything in his mind. ”How about we create an independent space inside that ring? When I saw your teleportation portal, there was a kind of void, right?

”Could you create an independent space inside that void?”

Evelyn squinted her eyes. ”Itʼs possible. Do you know what a void is?”

”Not really.”

”Void is basically the space element. I donʼt really want to explain the fundamental understanding of the space element, so you can think of it as an independent space that is born due to the characteristic that the space element possesses.

”So, if you ask me whether itʼs possible or not, then yes, itʼs possible. Unlike the magic bagʼs concept, this void can maintain that space element. Itʼs just… you need to put a certain amount of ena into it. And that void canʼt move alongside you. Itʼll be suspended in that place, which will lead to the first conceptʼs problem about the distance.”

Nathan waved his hand. ”How about this? What if I use this?” Nathan took out the magazine.

”Hmm?” Evelyn raised her eyebrows.

”What if I use the same material as my magazine to store the ena. And this ena will be used to maintain that independent space. Since I donʼt need more space elements to create a space in that void, we can create an independent space that is tied down to the space ring.

”This way, it will move with us. Or maybe, how about using the ʼvoidʼ inside the space ring itself so that no space element user can steal it? Do you think itʼs possible?”

Evelyn pinched the bridge of her nose, thinking hard. She kept swaying her body left and right, having a hard time answering that question. After all, Nathan cleverly used the item he invented to create a new possibility.

”It might be possible, but thereʼs a problem. While itʼs true that you can use it to create an independent space, I donʼt think itʼs possible to tie that space to the ring itself.

”Donʼt you know that itʼs impossible to create an element source to an item? Thatʼs why an item that can have such a function will be considered an artifact.”

Nathan smirked. ”Itʼs just… I have a way to make it possible.”

”!!!” Evelyn stood up, her eyes wide open. ”What did you say?”

Nathan waved his hand. ”Letʼs assume I can do it. I want you to continue with the explanation.”

”No, no. Thatʼs not important. Do you understand what you are talking about? There are a lot of researchers trying to do it, but not many succeed! And you say you can do it and even plan to succeed a lot and give me some of them.”

Nathan smiled wryly. ”Youʼre getting too excited. Calm down.”

Evelynʼs body was shaking, but after looking at Nathanʼs nonchalant attitude, she had no choice but to calm down.

”Letʼs assume I can tie the space into this ring. Is there any problem I need to be concerned about?”

”If you really have that independent space, then the next problem is taking in and out the items.”

”Indeed.” Nathan thought for a moment. ”Do you think you can activate a magic circle just by pouring your ena into the ring and absorbing everything that is linked to our ena?”

Evelyn crossed her arms while looking up and down, pondering. ”It might be possible.”

”How about taking out the ena? Maybe we can sense the item with our ena and cover it before activating the magic circle?”

”Because itʼs inside the void, you donʼt need the space element anymore, so itʼs actually possible. Thatʼs only because you tie it to the void.”

Nathanʼs eyes flashed. ”All right. Letʼs make it! The Space Ring!”
