Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 880: Divinity, Fate, and Karma?

”Are you ready?” Nathan asked.

”Yes.” Sera and Flora nodded their heads.

”Though, it appears we have a lot of people spectating this time…” Nathan smiled wryly.

If he took a look at the side, there were Brunhild, Asmodeus, Raphael, and other spirits watching the entire process. Vivian might not be here, but Charlotte was the one overseeing the entire process.

”Please allow me to witness your miracle, Master.” Asmodeus looked as if he revered him.

Raphael was here just because Nathan said he wanted to rank up an angel.

The others were just curious about the entire process.

Selena didnʼt participate this time because the rest of her team didnʼt need to evolve.

Nathan said, ”In that case, I will begin.”

”Yes. You can begin at any time. There are about 200,000 ena stored inside here. I will add more if itʼs not enough.”

”Got it.” Nathan raised his hand, forming a blank scroll.

”!!!” The people looked curious. It was an ability they had never seen before.

Nathan then began to forget the contract, adjusting it to match their current equipment.

[In exchange for 2,000 ena, the world grants Nathan the ability to see the information of Lightning Spirit Elthor, Plant Spirit Medea, Angel Dane, and Fallen Angel Lavi for 5 minutes. All payment will be made by using the crystal of ena in Nathanʼs possession.]

The contract soon dissipated, showing the contract had gone active.

”Oh… This is…” Asmodeus widened his eyes in excitement. ”I could feel an extraordinary power from that contract. Something that is hard to describe. Is this what they call Innate Ability?”

Raphael just glanced at Asmodeus while furrowing his eyebrows.

Nathan examined each of them.

”Elthor and Lavi seem to have better potential and shouldnʼt be too hard to evolve. Meanwhile, Medea and Dane require a bit more.”

Charlotte projected the hidden information Nathan was talking about to everyone.

”These are…”

”Itʼs even more complete than the status we can see…” Asmodeusʼ eyes flashed. ”Itʼs amazing. To think thereʼs so much information hidden even from us…

”But looking at this information…” Asmodeus furrowed his eyebrows. ”Now that I think about it, thereʼs also a fallen angel coming to serve me in the past. Normally, I could force an evolution by using my blood as the essence…

”But he didnʼt manage to evolve at that time. Was it because he actually lacked something?”

Raphael also had a solemn expression on his face. Just like Asmodeus, a high-ranking angel, especially an archangel like them, could help other angels to reach a higher rank. But it wasnʼt a ritual so easy to proceed with. But if the information before their eyes were correct, it explained a lot of things.

Nathan then continued with the second contract. ”In that case, I will begin with Seraʼs familiars. Dane.”

”Yes.” Dane approached Nathan carefully. He was trying to be as graceful and respectful as possible to show his gratitude for this favor.

[In exchange for 1,000 ena, Nathan is allowed to have the ability to alter the detail of Familiar Dane from the worldʼs record by using the Archangel Feather and Crystal of Light as the medium. Nathan will pay all the ena required to the end of the process or until Nathan doesnʼt have any more ena to pay. The transaction will be conducted fairly based on the ena to evolution ratio of the angel. All payment will be made by using the crystal of ena in Nathanʼs possession.]

This time, Nathan changed his method. Normally, he would suggest a certain price directly, but this time, he would let the world decide the ena. This way, he wouldnʼt have to waste even a single ena during the evolution.

There was no one more fair than the world, so this method was more effective than when he evolved Sasha.

The contract was established.

Nathan could see the arrow button he could press to evolve Dane. Without hesitation, Nathan pressed the arrow until all the progress reached 100%.

At first, it looked like nothing happened. But after several seconds, golden-colored ena started to leak out of Daneʼs body.

”Ughhh!” Dane suddenly gritted his teeth and fell to her knees.

”Whatʼs going on?!” Sera panicked, wondering if something messed up.

Raphael hurriedly jumped toward Dane and created a translucent sphere around Dane.

”Raphael?” Sera was surprised. ”Wait—!”

It would be bad if Raphael noticed something wrong and got angry with Nathan. To her surprise, before she could stop him, Raphael politely bowed to Nathan. ”Allow me to express my gratitude for allowing this child of light to grow.”

”Raphael?” Sera was confused. ”Is it…”

Raphael nodded.

Nathan calmly said, ”Can you move him to the corner? If not, I will shift my position a bit.”

Raphael agreed. ”In that case, we shall not disturb you.”

Raphael lifted up Dane by using the sphere and moved back to his original position.

Asmodeus had been observing everything. Although he was a bit unhappy that the angel got it first, Nathan said earlier that the fallen angel was better than the angel. Besides, the fact that he succeeded meant the fallen angel would also evolve.

More importantly, during the entire process, he could see something beyond his logic.

He couldnʼt help but tear up after witnessing such a miracle. ”This is a power different from divinity.

”It might carry a trace of divinity, but itʼs more complex than that… A power surpassing a divinity…” Asmodeus muttered.

”A power surpassing a divinity?” Charlotte raised her eyebrows.

”This is the first time I have witnessed such power. It carries too many things…” Asmodeus closed his eyes, recalling the contract. ”It contains divinity, fate, karma… I donʼt know. I canʼt see the entire thing. To think that I would fail to see through something even with my extensive knowledge…

”This power that goes beyond everything we comprehend… It feels like a singularity. Itʼs the center of everything—the past, the future, and the present.”

”!!!” Charlotte didnʼt expect to hear such an explanation. She couldnʼt help but mutter, ”The origin of an Innate Ability is the thing beyond our comprehension, or at least something we donʼt understand yet, but itʼs also related to oneʼs karma, fate, and divinity… from the past, the future, and the present…?”
