Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 883: Routes

Alavenya was the one who started the explanation. ”First of all, I believe itʼs better to tell you about the summary of the route inside the notebook.”

”Fair enough.”

Alavenya brought the map.

”This is the location of the tower where Selenaʼs father resides. There are three routes proposed inside that book. The first one is coming from the northwest. Thereʼs a mountain range that blocks the route, but thereʼs a small route within the mountain range that can bypass this mountain range.

”It was used as a supply route and inhabited by a lot of tribes when Asura Palace was standing, but there could only be a lot of aliens around there.

”However, there is no food supply, and the area is filled with danger, so we have to be fast if we want to take this route.

”The second route is coming from the north. This looks like the shortest route, but itʼs actually the longest route. That is because this place is filled with swamp. Itʼs hard to travel and flying will attract a lot of aliens. There are a lot of sightings of aliens here.

”The third route is northeast. This is the most normal route. It has a lot of things, such as a river and all kinds of terrains, as you can see from the map here.”

Nathan nodded. ”So, which route do you plan to take? What do you three think?”

Selena and Sera answered immediately. ”If we just look at the information there, itʼs best to proceed with the normal route.”

Flora shook her head. ”I believe itʼs better to go with the second route. Itʼs true that we will face a lot of flying aliens, but we can also fly as well. By taking advantage of our speed, we will pass the swamp and face those aliens over there.”

”Do you two think the same?”

This time, Noelle stepped forward. ”Yes. Itʼs normal to take the third route and we understand Floraʼs way of utilizing our strength. However, both of us have agreed to go with the first one.”

”Hoh?” Nathan crossed his arms. ”Elaborate.”

Noelle raised three fingers. ”First of all, while itʼs true that the mountain is treacherous, itʼs the most simple terrain. Just pass the mountain and you can reach this place.

”This is the consideration not only for the initial trip but also for the return journey. We have to bring Count Ashton back in that form, so we will have to see whether this path is big enough to carry him or not.”

”In that case, why not use the second or third route?” Nathan squinted his eyes.

”In the second route, even if we use our speed, there will be some aliens left behind. If we bring back Count Ashton, our speed will decrease tremendously. We also have to protect him, so we will have to face all those aliens on our way back.

”Meanwhile, the third route might be the most normal, but itʼs also easy to migrate. In other words, even if we kill all the aliens on our way there, a lot of aliens will go to this route and block it again.

”On the other hand, the first route is different. The mountain range is a quite hard area for the aliens to travel, so on our way trip, we wonʼt have to face a lot of aliens left. We believe this is the best course of action after seeing what happened to the hill on our previous mission.

”Besides, if we can kill a lot of aliens, we can slow down our journey to absorb the cores, which allows us to get even stronger. If the mountain range is blocked, we can loop around it or just fly over it. It might attract flying aliens, but there are a lot of places to hide on the mountain.”

Nathan nodded in understanding. ”Fair point. How about the second reason for choosing this route?”

Noelle continued, ”The second reason is quite simple. Weʼre planning to use your teleportation circle to head to the front line. This way, we donʼt have to rely on anyone else, which might expose our location. For better or worse, all of us are quite famous, so itʼs better to move without relying on their teleportation circles.”

Flora was the one agreeing this time. Although she had been deprived of her right to take the throne, if they ended up meeting other princes and princesses, they might want to meet Nathan to gain his support. And it would just annoy Nathan.

Meanwhile, the teleportation circle Evelyn made was close to both the first and second routes. So, after the first reason, it was clear which route to choose.

”How about the last one?”

”The last reason is this.” Noelle pointed to a certain point on the map.

”Hmm? Thereʼs nothing there.” Nathan frowned.

”Thereʼs nothing on this map, but thereʼs a small base located here. This is the only route that has a base in its way.

”While itʼs true that the base has been abandoned, we can probably use this place as a shelter. Or in case of an emergency, we can use this place as a rendezvous point or a place to change our plan.

”Itʼs true that the terrains can be used as a landmark, but thereʼs no more concrete landmark on the map than this base. Itʼs useful to trace our movement and other things.”

Nathan closed his eyes. The other three girls were convinced that this was indeed the best route. All that was left was for Nathan to decide.

After two minutes, Nathan smiled. ”I understand. Letʼs go with the first route. Will you brief us on everything about the first route, such as the road, terrain, aliens, and so on?”

Alavenyaʼs and Noelleʼs eyes lit up. ”Of course.”

They enthusiastically explained everything.

Still, before he left, there was one more thing he needed to do. Now that he had a time element in his repertoire, there was one more thing he needed to complete his fighting style.

And that was multiple guns. That was right. He planned to visit Elder Thompson one more time to get all three weapons. In the past, he couldnʼt travel with all those weapons, but with the space bracelet, bringing a hundred weapons could easily be achieved.
