Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 831: Shocked

”What is this power? Nathan?” Flora couldnʼt comprehend Nathan anymore.

Asmodeus couldnʼt help but smile. He already knew Nathanʼs power was not so simple. And he was just even more amazing than his imagination.

Amphitrite was quite overwhelmed by this power, as she fully understood what kind of power the absolute ice element was.

”This is…” Noelle sucked a cold breath. ”Has no one ever seen this…? It seems that Iʼve been too complacent. I donʼt think Iʼm the strongest person in the group anymore. I thought Selena would be my rival, but it turned out he had surpassed me without me realizing it.”

The girls werenʼt the only ones shocked by the sudden appearance of the ice element. Layfon dropped his jaw to the ground because he was able to see everything in detail.

”What? What is that? An ice element? Who actually has an ice element? But from how it spread, itʼs clear that it comes from within the tornado.

”Donʼt tell me. That Nathan actually has an ice element? But thereʼs no information about him having an ice element, even in the academy.

”Then what? Has he been hiding it this whole time? No. This ice is much stronger than anything I have seen so far. Even the warrior class is being frozen by this ice.

”Now that I think about it, isnʼt there someone known as the Ice Prince? But I donʼt think his ice is capable of this level of freezing ability. Is his ice stronger than the Ice Princeʼs?

”No, wait. This faint feeling…”

Layfon paused for a moment, only to be even more shocked by what he figured out.

”Absolute Ice? Is this an absolute ice element? No way. This is the supreme ice element, something that no one has!

”This is his trump card? This is Nathanʼs trump card?”

Layfon could see why Nathan wanted to hide it. The fact he was able to summon beasts as his familiars alone was already shocking. He was also good academically, which allowed him to invent new things.

And now, he witnessed the absolute ice element.

Before, he could probably consider Nathan a monster, similar to Selena. But after seeing the absolute ice, he didnʼt know a word that could describe Nathan. Even ʼmonsterʼ might not be enough to describe his talent.

At the same time, he finally understood why Nathan still hadnʼt given up. With the absolute ice element, it might be possible for him to turn around the situation or at least escape.

”Even though I can see that some of the girls donʼt know about it yet, someone with Nathanʼs talent should be able to have perfect teamwork after taking that into account.

”Is he going to turn around the situation?” He muttered while looking at his blade. There might not be a need for this sword to remain sheathed.

Meanwhile, Nathan was waiting patiently for the incoming enemy.

”Master. Noelle seemed to have taken down the two warrior class aliens. However, the aliens are about to reach Fenrir and the others.” Peng reported.

”Got it. Fenrir, Anubis, Nidhogg, Jinwu. Get ready to back off. Weʼll first get rid of as many aliens as possible. Peng, I need your help on this.”

”Understood.” All five divine beasts acknowledged Nathanʼs order.

They continued fighting until they saw the aliens about to reach them. They then swiftly retreated.

In the end, the warrior class alien from the south managed to join up with the rest of the enemy and gradually tightened the encirclement.

At this point, the mutant actually lowered his pace and matched the aliensʼ speed to ensure Nathan couldnʼt take advantage of the situation to escape.

However, Nathan never intended to escape.

ʼThere are six warrior class aliens and one mutant along with four thousand aliens. Fighting them head-on will be foolish, especially since they have encircled us. However, thereʼs a method for us to defeat them.

ʼI have once used a tactic that made Hannibal famous. I should probably use the essence of Napoleonʼs tactic this time. Speed and independence.ʼ

Nathan closed his eyes. ”This is going to be an exhausting day, but letʼs use it to the fullest. Peng!”

”Theyʼre about to arrive.”

”Master. Get ready!”

”3.”

”2.”

”1.”

”Master!”

”Yes!” Nathan opened his eyes wide and activated his power. ”Shatter!”

The frozen tornado suddenly shattered into pieces, startling not only Selena and the others but also the aliens. Still, the lower level aliens continued onward.

They didnʼt realize that the ice shards from the tornado were still hanging in the air.

”Get a taste of my masterʼs power. Wind!” Peng released another tornado, but this time, it was to actually launch the ice shards in all directions.

These shards carried high enough momentum to pierce through the aliens.

”Raaao!”

”Orrr!”

The aliens were getting impaled by the ice shards. Some got hit with a smaller shard, but each of them was still big enough to destroy the entire head of a human-sized alien. However, some unlucky ones got hit by a huge boulder of ice, crushing them to death.

Even enormous aliens werenʼt spared from the attack.

”!!!” Flora and the others saw the immense power of absolute ice. Unlike how Nathan was still powerless against the three Hands in the past, this time he had enough strength to fight his enemies.

The mutant was surprised by Nathanʼs power and sped up, trying to stop him from releasing another power.

However, Nathan had finished up his plan. He turned to the opposite direction of the mutant and leaped forward. ”Follow me!”

Everyone heard him and hurriedly dropped everything they were doing and followed him.

The aliens started to adjust their positions to completely encircle him even without the help of the mutant.

However, Nathan didnʼt care. With a single wave of his hand, he froze the field in a fan-shaped area, opening up the path for them to escape.

Still, this was how Nathan turned around the situation. To achieve what he had in mind, Nathan said, ”I will split the group into three. I will go with Flora. Noelle and Alavenya will be on our left, while Sera and Selena will take care of our right. Itʼs time to counterattack.”
