Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 810: Two Adorable ʼKnightsʼ

A moment ago.

Noelle looked down, recalling everything Nathan had done so far as well as her grandfatherʼs words. She clenched her hand into a fist before nodding her head after steeling her resolve.

After taking another deep breath, she walked toward the slope.

…

On the other side, Brunhild fixed her clothes while muttering, ”Is this good enough? My mistress told me itʼs fine, but…”

She felt embarrassed because she had never done something like this. In the legend, she was punished for disobeying Odin and saved by Sigurd, which resulted in both of them falling for each other.

But Sigurd deceived her and forgot about their vow together and ended up marrying Gudrun.

This might be the most important step in her current life. She had vowed to serve her new lord and even took the initiative for it.

After another minute, she finally went to the slope.

However, little did both of them know that they actually had the same thought. The night sky was romantic, so they might be able to achieve it if they went to him tonight. They just coincidentally picked the same time, which was right after the camp was set up, and they didnʼt need to do their duty anymore.

When both of them were about to reach the slope, they ended up encountering each other.

”Huh?!” Both of them were staring at each other for a few seconds, unable to contain the shock.

”You…” Brunhildʼs lips were trembling.

”W-What are you doing here?” Noelle asked while pointing her finger at Brunhild.

”I should be the one asking that question.” Brunhild gritted her teeth. Should she back down?

”I am…” Noelle couldnʼt answer that question and instead attacked Brunhild. ”Are you trying to sneak up on your summonerʼs man? Are you not feeling ashamed?”

”I have gotten her permission. Instead, you should answer the question. Why are you here?” Brunhild gritted her teeth.

Although one was a summoner while the other was a familiar, both of them were similar.

”I…” Noelle wanted to speak, but no words came out of her mouth.

”Are you trying to seduce my lord? How shameless are you!”

”I should be saying the same thing.” Noelle pointed at her clothes. ”Why do you unbutton the first two buttons of your shirt when both of them are usually up?”

”Thatʼs…” Brunhild froze before pointing down. ”You donʼt have the right to say that. You used pants earlier. Since when did you change to a skirt? Look at that length. You must know that his eyes will be glued there.”

Noelle and Brunhild couldnʼt answer each otherʼs questions. They were trying to hide their embarrassment by attacking each other.

Brunhild and Noelle stopped for a while as their brains stopped working.

Obviously, Nathan noticed the commotion and tried to check it out.

”What are you guys doing here? Is there a problem?” Nathan asked with a casual tone.

”Ah!” Both of them panicked when they saw Nathan. It was supposed to be them taking the initiative when Nathan lowered his guard. Now that he had come here personally, their plan had failed.

For some reason, both of them said and did the same thing.

”Nothing!” They replied out loud while running away.

”You are a bully.” Both of them didnʼt notice that Jinwu was actually on Nathanʼs shoulder this whole time. Obviously, he had finished scouting the area and returned to Nathan to report. Of course, he found them and told Nathan about them.

Nathan chuckled. ”Arenʼt they adorable?”

”…” Jinwu rolled his eyes.

Noelle ran to Flora to hide her embarrassment while Sera consoled Brunhild, who had gathered the courage to take the initiative.

”Donʼt bully them too much.” Jinwu sighed. ”After all, it will be hard for them to fight if they keep getting flustered.”

”I know, I know.” Nathan chuckled. However, that light expression turned serious. ”Still, the alien nest, huh…”

Jinwu closed his eyes for a moment before nodding his head. ”Yeah. Itʼs going to be a problem.

”From what I can see, they are inhabiting the small valley between the two hills.

”There are at least a thousand of them there, but their exact number is unknown since I canʼt find any secret entrance.

”At the same time, there are a lot of aliens in the surrounding area. If we go around the hill, they will be alerted, and thereʼs a high chance the aliens in that valley will go there.

”The same can be said if we attack that nest, so you have to make a decision.”

Nathan crossed his arms. ”Their strength?”

”I found two warrior class aliens, close to twenty mature class aliens, and numerous juvenile class aliens. I donʼt know if there are mutants or not.”

”Thatʼs going to be troublesome. And we have to fight more warrior class aliens after that. However, even if we donʼt do it today, we will have to face them on our way back.” Nathan pinched the bridge of his nose.

”Yeah. What do you think we should do?” Jinwu asked.

”Is there any water source around the valley?”

”I noticed a natural spring from the second hill that flows to the valley. The size is quite good. Amphitrite and Kun might be able to take advantage of it.”

”The problem is their number. If we approach them carelessly, we will end up getting pincered from both sides. If we go around them, it will become an open field battle as the aliens will try to encircle us.

”If possible, I want to take advantage of the terrain. Is there anything I can use? However, burning the forest is a no-go.”

”If we attack the valley, I can go all out, since there arenʼt many trees there. The burning can be scaled down,” explained Jinwu.

Nathan nodded in understanding. ”I have made my decision. Letʼs go back. Since we have to rest early, itʼs best to tell them right away and let them rest.”

”Make sure you console those two girls who have gathered their courage.”

”I know, I know.” Nathan smiled wryly.
