Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 825: Dragon Heart

Alavenya leaped toward the humanoid alien. It snapped another trunk and tossed it toward her.

”!!!” Alavenya avoided it without much of a problem. It lost the trunks it had earlier when climbing down the hill, but it seemed the humanoid alien was more adept at using the trunk.

It even grabbed another tree before she arrived and put it in front. The tree leaves made it hard for Alavenya to see the humanoid alien.

However, she had gone too far to be able to cancel her attack. Hence, she struck the air in front of the tree instead, releasing her Dragon Fist.

*Roar!*

The dragon roar blasted the leaves and snapped the branches, but the alien remained firm. It moved forward, thrusting the tree at her.

”Kh.” Alavenya used her other hand to stop him, but to no avail. She had lost her momentum, as well as the energy she gathered earlier. There was no way she could compete with this alien in raw strength.

ʼIt is cleverly using the tree, knowing that if I go past that point, it can actually prepare for an ambush. This alien is trickier than I expected…ʼ Alavenya bit her lips while getting pushed back all the way to the rest of the aliens.

Fortunately, when the aliens were about to go for her, her familiars killed every single one of them.

Now that her stance had been stabilized, she grabbed the trunk with her other hand and spun it until the alien lost its grip on the trunk. Then she struck the tip and launched the trunk to the alien.

It knocked the alien down, allowing Alavenya to use her overwhelming speed to reach the alien without any fight. She appeared on the right side of the alien, kicking the alien in the head, which ultimately hit the tentacles on the head since the alien was headless.

The alien rolled a few times on the ground, but it sprang back and punched down.

Alavenya leaped back, causing his punch to hit the ground instead. However, the alien immediately grabbed the tree and smacked her.

It was Alavenyaʼs turn to be launched away. Fortunately, she managed to block the attack at the last moment with her right hand, reducing the impact.

”…” Alavenya squinted her eyes. ʼI donʼt think I can be too safe if I really want to kill a warrior class alien by myself. Should I ask my familiars to help me?ʼ

She scanned the area, noticing that her familiars were a bit too busy with their tasks. In the end, they had to deal with so many aliens themselves, so it couldnʼt be helped.

At the same time, she had to take down this warrior class alien as quickly as possible.

She took a deep breath, recalling her training with her father.

Back then, she was beaten up without any chance of fighting back. While panting, she glared at her father, wondering what she should do.

”Your fighting style is a bit too monotonous. Itʼs true that you have an overwhelming physical strength, especially combined with the Dragon Martial Arts.

”Your second drive is good, but they are not enough. Do you know the reason? Your second drive is the accumulation of your anger. Thatʼs it. Once it explodes, itʼs done.

”While it can complement my Dragon Arts to a certain extent, itʼs not enough to take down your enemy. You wonʼt be able to handle a strong opponent by yourself.”

Alavenya gritted her teeth. ”Then what am I supposed to do? I…” She lowered her head, frustrated. ”…I know thatʼs not enough. For a single attack, it might be enough. But how many chances would I have during a fight? And thereʼs also an enemy like the alien or Nathan who can keep healing themselves.”

”There is a solution. I donʼt know if itʼs just a coincidence or if he has seen through your state, but Nathan has prepared you for that.”

”!!!” Alavenya raised her head in disbelief.

”Fighting spirit is necessary, but I donʼt really show it. Iʼve always told you that the Dragon Arts are fueled by oneʼs fighting spirit, right?”

”Yes.”

”Thatʼs why I keep practicing to control my head to remain calm while keeping my fighting spirit in my heart.

”However, you might be able to achieve what I couldnʼt. After all, the fuel for your Dragon Arts is a much more explosive emotion: anger. By drawing your emotion and containing it inside your body, this is the second stage of the Dragon Arts. If the Dragon Spirit fuels the first half of the Dragon Arts, this one fuels the second half of the Dragon Arts. I call this Dragon Heart. I wish for you to discover this yourself, but I guess it works out just fine.”

…

Alavenya inhaled deeply.

ʼDraw the anger inside me and spread it all around my body. Keep my head cool so as to not get provoked by this anger.ʼ Alavenya couldnʼt help but smile.

It made her remember how Nathan had been acting around her. He looked like a jerk from time to time, teasing her, provoking her, or even annoying her.

Yet it was thanks to those actions that she grew accustomed to anger, which allowed her to control it better.

ʼDragon Heart… Burn!ʼ

The blazing ena suddenly erupted, not just on her hands and feet this time, but on her entire body. It was filled with anger and madness as if it was trying to take over its owner, but Alavenya still maintained her cool for the time being.

The humanoid alien suddenly sensed a much higher threat coming from Alavenya.

ʼI can only maintain this state for three minutes. However, I will definitely kill this guy in three minutes!ʼ Alavenya inhaled one more time before disappearing.

”!!!” The humanoid alien was shocked this time because it couldnʼt keep up with Alavenyaʼs sudden burst of speed.

The next thing it realized, Alavenya was already in front of him, punching him in the chest.

The dragon emerging from her fist roared angrily, as if it was going to swallow the alien for real.

*Roar!*

The angry roar erupted as the headless alien spurted a massive amount of blood from the hole above its body before the force launched him directly at the hill.
