Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 539: Engaging the Alien

Jinwu followed Nathanʼs instruction and began explaining the situation to the others. The soldiers were surprised to see a crow talking, but they had to prepare themselves for a big fight.

It appeared Sera was just a bit late. She managed to arrive before Jinwu was done with Noelle.

Still, Jinwu took a moment to scan the area, even if it wasnʼt as detailed as he originally planned.

After everything was done, Jinwu returned to Nathan. ”Everyone is ready. Iʼve checked the area briefly, but thereʼs no sign of aliens ambushing us.”

”Is that so? Is the alien attacking the base or something?” Nathan frowned. ”Anyway, this works for us. As long as we can destroy the aliens here, we can deal with the rest accordingly. Because we canʼt cause too much ruckus to avoid alerting the surrounding aliens for the time being… we have to restrict ourselves.”

Selena and Flora nodded.

”Donʼt worry. I will just use my familiar. That should be enough.” Selena waved her hand, considering her abilities were powerful.

Flora, on the other hand, summoned her ice and lightning spirits only. The same applied to Nathan, who only brought Anubis and Fenrir.

”Alright.” Nathan checked their preparation one last time before nodding to the captain. He then exited the tunnel together with Selena and Flora.

They first split up, planning to take down the aliens as swiftly as possible.

Nathan could see two aliens in front of him. He simply shot them with his normal bullets, creating several holes in their heads.

Fenrir pounced on another alien on the side and ripped its neck apart with his fangs while Anubis covered the alienʼs mouth first with the bandage before summoning the five guardians, executing one alien after another.

On the left side, Yin Zhen kicked an alienʼs head until it was separated from its head. Sasha crushed her enemy with decay while Risa shot several blood spears. The one who could kill the aliens easily was Amphitrite. She skillfully utilized the water to kill the aliens, and it was just pure control over water, not her ability.

In fact, Nathan and Selena might have yet to see her true ability.

Flora and her lightning spirits electrocuted as many aliens as possible while the ice spirit froze them and broke them into pieces together with the ice.

As soon as they saw these three wreaking havoc in the area, Noelle, Alavenya, and Sera hurriedly emerged from their respective tunnels.

Alavenya only summoned her squirrel familiar this time, taking advantage of its speed and fighting style to support her ability.

On the other hand, Sera had her angel and fallen angel working together with Brunhild and Asmodeus.

Since the aliens in the area were mostly proto-class, they could kill them pretty easily.

Still, the most surprising thing in this battle was the fact that Noelle finally utilized her familiar. That was right. She finally summoned her demon, which was Duke Murmur.

Considering Noelle had been a messenger the whole time, Duke Murmur had never met Asmodeus, so he was stunned to find Asmodeus serving a saintess.

Anubisʼ divinity had become much stronger, which made him realize the difference in their fundamental strength. He never thought that the person he talked to in the past, like that of an equal, was actually a being much higher than him.

Duke Murmur was completely astounded by everything he had found at this instant. He just never thought that he had remained inside Noelle this whole time, not knowing about all these facts.

Fortunately, Noelle had decided to change. He could still remember what Noelle said when she summoned him after her summoning ritual.

”Letʼs make a deal. From this point onward, I wonʼt treat you like before. Instead, I will treat you as a rival. Letʼs have some spars from time to time. At the same time, I will summon you like how other summoners ask their familiars to fight. I donʼt know how to word this correctly because Iʼm not used to dealing with familiars. However, if thereʼs a chance or a way, I will do my best to complete your summon.”

He knew that from this point onward, he would come out from time to time. That was the big point.

There was no need to talk to Anubis or Asmodeus right now, since he had a more important task.

He actually cut down one alien after another at the same pace as Noelle. Sadly, she didnʼt seem to be planning to use her new familiar yet.

In addition, no matter how fast or secretive they were, it was impossible to kill hundreds of aliens without the other party noticing.

It didnʼt take too long for an alien to notice them and let out a screeching sound, alerting other aliens.

The aliens near the area immediately swarmed them, which made their job easier because they could kill several aliens at the same time now.

When the number of aliens was low enough, Nathan immediately patted Fenrirʼs back, signaling him to howl.

”Aooo!”

The moment they heard the signal, the soldiers hurriedly came out of the tunnels. They positioned themselves according to their initial arrangement.

Although they were worried about the aliens within this square, they had no choice but to trust the summoners.

After all, that howl was loud enough to wake up other aliens in a much larger area.

”Get ready. The aliens will be coming upon us.” One of the captains shouted, raising their morale.

The soldiers raised their respective weapons as they could see the aliens crossing the woods.

”Here it is!”

One of them warned as the aliens had finally arrived and immediately pounced on them.

The soldiers holding a big shield were in front and immediately took their charge head-on. After that, the spearmen thrust the aliens from behind, which left the aliens with no chance to harm them as long as the shield remained intact.

Nathan and the others were watching for a juvenile class alien as well. After all, it was their job to get rid of that powerful alien in order to preserve their current number.

Little did they know, there was already a massive warrior class alien blocking the path between them and the human base. Jinwu missed it because the location was a little further from what he could see.
