Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 510: Realization

Nathan and Selenaʼs advance was unstoppable. There were hundreds of aliens coming to stop them, but their familiars immediately wreaked havoc on the battlefield, allowing Nathan and Selena to practice their new skills at ease.

Even though there was a power difference, taking twenty juvenile class aliens at once was quite hard.

If they focused on several of them, the others would definitely come to attack them. It would become more complex if the enemies were mature class aliens.

After all, the mutant would definitely at least bring several mature class aliens with him.

Fortunately, Nathan was able to kill more than seven hundred aliens on the first day alone, stopping right on the mountain path before the area where they spotted the mutant.

”It seems we will be able to finish our missions in three days at most. Well, we can spend a bit more time to clear up the aliens in this area, but it wouldnʼt take that long,” said Selena while looking around, ensuring that the aliens werenʼt sneaking up on them.

”Yeah.” Nathan thought for a moment. ”I guess we can hunt more aliens than I originally expected. Unlike the front line, this place isnʼt as big, so the distance we need to travel is much shorter.”

”Indeed.” Selena nodded. ”Maybe I donʼt have to summon Amphitrite for the time being. Risa and Yin Zhen are practicing their new abilities, so only they are needed to be here.”

”Hmm…” Nathan crossed his arms. ”Now that I think about it, you havenʼt summoned Sasha for a while.”

”I told you before that I did feel bad about this, but Sasha couldnʼt keep up with our progress. In addition, her absorption rate might not be bad, but it wasnʼt that high either.

”To reach the level of Yin Zhen or Risa, she needed at least several times the amount of cores.

”So, Iʼm thinking about letting her rest. Of course, I will make her grow or even evolve in the future, but not now.” Selena shook her head.

”No. I already heard that.” Nathan waved his hand. ”I was talking about Lilith.”

”Mmhm?” Selena raised her eyebrows. ”What do you mean? Whatʼs wrong with Lilith?”

”Well, Sasha is Lilitu, right? Lilitu is a creature born from Lilith. If youʼre going to summon Lilith, can she actually help Sasha in a way? I have been too focused on overpowered beings that I forget that your main familiars are vampires. In other words, you can actually create a symbiosis from one familiar to another.”

”Ah!” Selena pinched the bridge of her nose. ”Now that I think about it, a lot of families who rely on a single race familiar like vampires or werewolves, usually have the symbiotic relationship.

”My father used to hold a family tournament every two years, allowing the people from the branch family to acquire a drop of blood from the vampire progenitor. There are several cases where theyʼre evolving due to it.”

”Yeah! Iʼm talking about that.” Nathan nodded. ”Doesnʼt this mean Sasha can evolve in one way or another? Charlotte might not know much about Lilitu since she is a new race, but isnʼt this a possibility?”

Selena thought for a moment. ”Well, itʼs certainly a possibility. But it will be hard to raise Sasha for the time being.”

Nathan looked down, muttering inwardly, ʼCan the Soul Contract do something about this?

ʼI mean, I have managed to unlock an ability that is supposed to be sealed. Can I actually change their status?ʼ

Nathan first recalled his information.

Name: Nathan Reckmoon.

Level: 178

Race: Human

Quality: Good (High)

ʼIf I make a contract with the world, can I change someoneʼs quality? I might not be able to change a humanʼs talent because their quality is not registered, but how about the quality of a familiar?

ʼMy quality keeps increasing because it will raise once I have enough ena, but others have their quality stuck at that stage unless they evolve.

ʼThen again, this is the one registered in this world. If I put it in a novel term, it will be the worldʼs power system. On the other hand, the locked abilities are not among these four categories. Itʼs outside…ʼ

Nathan squinted his eyes. If he used it on himself, it would definitely fail. After all, his Quality might be much higher than he originally expected.

He couldnʼt test it on his familiars either. If he wanted to do something about this worldʼs power system, he could only test it on other familiars.

If it failed, the contract might not be able to change it. Still, the soul contract had leveled up once, so it wouldnʼt be weird for it to increase again.

Could he change the worldʼs power system by using his Soul Contract? At the same time, would the price be worth it? After all, this was just changing the absorption rate from the core, not increasing oneʼs talent. In other words, even if he managed to increase Sashaʼs Quality, would she be talented enough to learn techniques of a much higher level?

Nathan fell into deep thought.

There were too many variables, but he thought it would be worth a try. In the end, this was just an experiment. If he could potentially raise their quality, something else might change.

ʼWait a minute. How can one become much stronger all of a sudden? If itʼs in the cultivation world, it will be enlightenment or recasting oneʼs body or talent.

ʼItʼs impossible to recast oneʼs body. At least I donʼt find an agreement that will allow such a thing for the time being.

ʼIn that case, enlightenment? Can I even do that with a contract?ʼ Nathan pinched the bridge of his nose.

He couldnʼt come up with anything. However, there was something that piqued his interest.

ʼBefore changing someoneʼs quality, shouldnʼt I see them first? Can I use the contracts with my eyes so that I can see familiarsʼ status? As long as I use it in detail, it wonʼt require too much ena…ʼ

Nathanʼs body shook as if he couldnʼt believe what he had just found.
