Chapter 36 Gambling with Dogs and the Food Crisis (for further reading and collection)
Guo Xiuwen was in a trance for a while, and when he came back to his senses, he found that he was so green that he was blue.

He first turned around and looked at the surrounding environment. Yes, it was the same path he took when opening the map.

The giant trees here blocked the sunlight, but the ground was empty, except for an emerald green altar that was still glowing in front of it, suddenly appearing there.

Guo Xiuwen looked up to the sky, and found that the light had dimmed, and the sun didn’t know where it went for a while.

Even though he didn’t have the talent of a Time Lord, he could still guess that it was getting late.

He himself probably stayed in the trial space for most of the day, and it took more than three hours to open the map today.

It seems that the time flow rate of the trial space is the same as that of the forest here.

Guo Xiuwen was a little pity, because he still thought that if the time flow in the trial space was slower, he could still earn more than half a day, but he ended up thinking too much.

So he stopped feeling emotional, mainly because if he dragged on, he was afraid that he would not be able to return to the camp before dark.

He had guessed before, what happened to those skeletons and ghosts that appeared in the middle of the night.

Entering the secret realm this time, I found out that they had invaded the forest, and depending on the situation, they had remodeled all these places.

Especially thinking of the horror of ghosts in the secret realm.

If he encounters a ghost at night, he doesn’t think there is a goddess of nature to save him.

After taking a few steps forward, a system prompt appeared in front of him again.

[Ding, do you want to worship the natural altar! 】

[Worshiping the altar requires a tribute to the goddess of nature! 】

[Perceived that you have merits recognized by the goddess of nature, you can sacrifice meritorious deeds (minimum 10 points) for worship ceremony]

[Ding, the more meritorious deeds you sacrifice, the greater the chance of receiving the blessing of the Goddess of Nature. This sacrifice will increase the success rate by 1%. You can sacrifice up to 1 meritorious points per person in this sacrifice! 】

”It turns out that meritorious deeds increase the success rate. I have learned a lot. It turns out that the more tributes are sacrificed, the better the goddess’ blessing will be.”

”It’s just that there is still a quantity limit. I thought I could fill them all up.”

”It’s also indicated that it’s this sacrifice. Does it mean that if you worship again in a month, the merit will be depreciated by then?”

Guo Xiuwen muttered a few words in his heart.

He knew from the reminder before that as long as he worships the altar of the goddess of nature, he can get a little free attribute 100%.

And if he sacrificed 50 points of merit, it meant that he could safely get a free attribute point or a skill.

But it’s a pity, seeing that he only has a total of 49.73 meritorious deeds, he almost wants to curse.

”My charisma is so high, it must be Ouhuang, it can’t be just a 0.27 chance, and I won’t be able to get skills.”

Guo Xiuwen doesn’t like this kind of lucky draw because many people say the most in front of him, Guo Xiuwen, you are already beautiful, so don’t think too much about it.

In fact, as others have said, when he played some lottery games in the past, especially those produced by a certain goose, even if the chance was 99%, he still missed.

”Or just forget about the minimum standard. Anyway, the benefits you get in the trial space are enough, and adding a little attribute randomly is not bad.”

So he hesitated.

”But looking at it this way, the merit value may also depreciate over time, or in case the natural altar does not have these things next time.”

”When I entered the game, for the sake of looking good, I added so many charm points, so that now I can’t even beat a skeleton, so I can’t even look at the face.”

Guo Xiuwen is not a gambling dog in essence, but at this time, he is willing to turn into a gambling dog.

Just like when he was adding some points to his body before.

[Ding, you sacrificed 49.73 meritorious deeds, and the chance of receiving blessings increased by 49.73%]

As he sacrificed all his meritorious deeds, the already radiant altar became even more dazzling, directly making Guo Xiuwen unable to open his eyes.

[Ding, congratulations on gaining strength +1! 】

Guo Xiuwen sighed, betting on dogs really is not worth it.

[Ding, congratulations on getting the Forest Guardian Summoning Scroll x1]

Bah, sure enough, you can make a fortune by fighting for it.

The summoning scroll, which had only a 10% chance to get it, unexpectedly appeared in his hand.

Then he looked forward to it again, but the light of the altar in front of him gradually faded after offering sacrifices.

The vegetation around the altar began to wither, and the original patterns on the altar gradually faded.

When the light disappeared completely, Guo Xiuwen looked forward, and there was no altar in front of him, but an open space.

He hurriedly took a look in his storage backpack, and found that the forest guardian summoning scroll he had just obtained was lying quietly in place, and he was relieved.

”It’s okay, it’s not a dream!”

Patting his chest, Guo Xiuwen didn’t use the scroll immediately, but looked at the refreshed soldiers around him, and at the same time, he was in high spirits.

He sat on the golden tiger and waved, regardless of whether everyone understood or not.

”Little brothers, go home!”

Twenty giant wolves who were much bigger than when they left home in the morning, the silent broken bones and the big green who wanted to speak but had no chance, and the golden tiger who was used to being ridden by him.

There are also three skeleton shooters and a skeleton warrior who were added today, plus the ghost floating in the air, all followed his instructions and rushed to the territory.

Looking at the increasingly large team and what he had gained today, Guo Xiuwen sat on the back of a tiger and couldn’t help singing.

”I think back when my territory was just opened, I was so frightened by a tiger that I was dizzy. After searching all the resources in my body, I only recruited five wolves. But now the army is strong and horses are strong, and there are twenty wolves.”

Singing an out-of-key song, he swaggered back to the territory when it was dark.

Stone +1650, Wood +1575, Iron Ore +825, Food +13
”Pujie, why is there so little food, what will we do tomorrow!”

Because it was already dark, the goblin who was in charge of material delivery at the resource point had already sent the resources back.

Guo Xiuwen received a full 4063 units of basic resources, not only did not smile on his face, but was shocked.

Because he suddenly discovered a tragic thing, the food in his hand was not enough.

You know, he can be regarded as a strong soldier now, but with so many subordinates, the food expenses for a day are also quite a lot.

Black iron-level gray wolves consume 5 units of food a day, adding up to 50 wolves is [-] units a day.

Bronze-rank gray wolves consume even more, requiring a full 15 units, and ten heads need 150 units a day.

In addition, 10 units a day for the Golden Tiger, 5 units a day for Gnoll Crush, and 2 units a day for Goblin Big Green, it adds up to 17 units.

In addition, there are 46 goblins responsible for mining resources and eight ratmen in the territory. Each of them also needs 1 unit of food per day.
