Global Lords: Starting with Halving Recruitment Costs

Chapter 12 Suspected traces of other lords

Chapter 12 Suspected traces of other lords

Guo Xiuwen didn’t sleep well that night.

After dark, the first half of the night was fine, but in the second half of the night, green flames first floated around the territory, and they rose everywhere.

If it was just this, he wouldn’t be too panicked. After all, according to physics, this is just phosphorus fire.

But what happened next almost shocked him.

Because as the soil churned, skeletons climbed up from the ground. Occasionally, there were gusts of wind and ghosts floating in the air.

Even knowing that the territory has a seven-day protection period, the ghosts occasionally screamed as the skeletons walked around.

Regardless of whether he is brave or not, at least his sleep quality is average, even if he can still sleep.

And what puzzled him even more was that as the sky was about to light up, these skeletons buried themselves in the ground again, and the ghosts disappeared.

When he looked at the ground, there was no trace of the mud rolling.

He was so scared that he didn’t step out of the camp even at dawn, and waited until the sun came out before finally suppressing his fear and coming out to do something.

The main reason why Guo Xiuwen didn’t try to attack these two things was that when he looked at the skeletons and ghosts, there were no attribute introductions on the panel except for the names.

So to be on the safe side, he didn’t do anything.

The next day officially arrived, Guo Xiuwen first rode the golden tiger, went to fetch water from the well in the direction of the tiger’s den, and also sent some food to the goblins working at the iron ore resource point.

When passing by the tiger’s lair, he took a special look to see if there would be a new lair refreshed.

After passing by, he was very surprised to find that there was no trace of being destroyed yesterday. If it wasn’t for the small slope of the iron mine, he thought he had gone to the wrong place.

It is said to be a well, but it is actually a pit with a spring in it.

The water quality is very clear, and through the spring water, you can also see green aquatic plants growing around.

Guo Xiuwen was not in a hurry to fetch water, but noticed a few huge footprints next to him.

He put his foot in and tried it. It was larger than his own foot, and it seemed that there were only traces of two toes, one big and one small.

The reason why he noticed this toe was because he found that the toe marks were very fresh, as if they had been stepped on not long ago. One of the toe marks was near the spring, and water was still pouring into it at this time.

Judging from the water that has not yet been filled, the person who came to the spring to drink or collect water should have been away for a very short time.

Guo Xiuwen thought about it, but in the end he didn’t decide to catch up.

This guy looks huge at first glance, so it’s better not to take risks if necessary.

Only then did he begin to think about fetching water.

When I was making wooden barrels before, I made a little bit of various capacities. With the water output of this spring, the 200L barrel is only half filled, and the water here is about to bottom out.

Guo Xiuwen knew that with this spring alone, as his territory continued to expand in the future, it would definitely not be enough for people to drink wolf drink.

But he is not in a hurry, he has a whole day today, and he is going to take it step by step, first easy and then difficult, trying to explore all four directions.

After returning, apart from leaving a fierce tiger at the iron ore resource point, he set off with the golden tiger and nine giant wolves, led by two goblins, to the goblin camp.

The remaining giant wolf was arranged by him to stay in the territory.

The reason why only one was left behind was because of the golden tiger’s talent of king of beasts, the minimum requirement was ten beast soldiers.

The territory is actually within the protection period, and there is no need for soldiers to stay behind, but the logging hut next to it does not.

In case a group of wild monsters appeared, Guo Xiuwen would not worry about the fighting power of the goblins.

A resource of 750 units a day is not a small sum.

Moreover, the tigers can only fight alone in order to maximize their combat power. Even if only one tiger is arranged, it is enough to deal with ordinary dangers.

After all, he didn’t think that a group of goblins could defeat the gray wolves of his black iron rank.

If they were able to fight well, the difference between nine heads and ten heads shouldn’t be too big.

After all, if things changed, he could still escape on the golden tiger.

After fumbling all the way, they arrived at the destination under the guidance of Goblin.

But after reaching the goal, everyone was dumbfounded.

”Master, this, this is really a goblin tribe, but why are there no goblins?”

The big guys walked for a whole morning, but when they arrived at their destination, they were dumbfounded.

Weeds are overgrown here, and occasionally there are birds and rabbits flying up, so it looks like a camp.

”Don’t panic, how long have you been in contact with this side?”

”We, we came here to hunt together a few suns ago.”

Goblin was a little confused, but Guo Xiuwen was different.

When he went to see the tiger’s den before, he found that the den that was destroyed yesterday seemed to have been refreshed today.

According to the goblins, the goblins here are different from them, they have already set up their own camps.

Now look at the overgrown weeds, there is no trace of human habitation.

Guo Xiuwen had some doubts, whether the goblin camp here was destroyed by a certain lord just like the tiger’s den.

”Go, let’s go back!”

For the time being, he is not yet ready to meet other lords, not to mention that the territory is still in the protection period, so he doesn’t know if he can fight.

The two sides are so close, he doesn’t want the other party to know himself at the moment.

After all, it’s unclear what the character of this territory is like.

The territories of the two are so close, this is another world with the theme of hegemony.

No wonder he had some bad thoughts, he believed that if a nearby lord knew of his existence, his first thought would definitely not be to cooperate, but to see if he could be annexed.

Especially Guo Xiuwen himself, after he destroyed the tiger’s den, he got the heart of a troop’s lair.

Just to upgrade the territory, a similar heart of the territory is also needed.

According to his guess, since the heart of the troop lair will appear when the lair of the troop is destroyed, does it mean that the heart of the territory can be obtained by destroying the territory?

Not to mention the land issue.

It is true that this is a forest, and basic food may not be lacking.

But think about it, even Goblins and goblins who are so weak are obviously relatives, and the choice of camps has to be so far apart, you know that in this world, resources are not eternal.

Two weak forces each need to occupy a territory to harvest the resources they need for survival.

Then if it is two lords, at such a close distance, the possibility of fighting is too great.

So Guo Xiuwen didn’t want to look at the so-called swamp, but was going to retreat temporarily, so as not to expose his existence.

But sometimes, the more you don’t want to expose things, the more likely it is to make mistakes.

”Yo yo yo~, let me see what it is, a gray wolf of this size, if it is beaten back, it will be enough to eat for many days.”

Knowing that there might be other lords around, Guo Xiuwen didn’t swagger as much when he returned.

He first arranged for five gray wolves to spread out in front of them to act as pathfinders and bait.
