Global Lords: Starting with Halving Recruitment Costs

Chapter 22 The First Confrontation of Lords

Chapter 22

ooh-

The gray wolf howled, and then a series of footsteps suddenly sounded around.

Whoosh whoosh—

Along with the footsteps, there was a series of arrows.

”Bang bang bang-”

The target of these arrows turned out to be Guo Xiuwen, who was riding a golden tiger surrounded by two giant wolves and jackals.

But before the arrows flew over, two bronze-ranked giant wolves jumped up and blocked the arrows flying from the side.

Then without waiting for Guo Xiuwen’s order, they caught up with the black iron step gray wolf who attacked one step earlier, and rushed into the jungle.

Sudden attack, Guo Xiuwen didn’t react for a while, and then waited until two bronze-ranked gray wolves jumped out, then he quickly slid off the back of the golden tiger and hid on the side of the tiger.

Guo Xiuwen still has some idea of his own strength.

Although he didn’t know why the war broke out suddenly, his first reaction was to hide directly so as not to cause trouble for his soldiers.

ooh-

”Damn beast, go away!”

At the same time as he was hiding, the bronze-rank gray wolf that rushed out also had a harvest.

Hearing the sound coming from the direction of the arrow, Guo Xiuwen didn’t get curious and stood up to observe.

Instead, he let the golden tiger lie still on the spot, and let the gnoll broken bones stand on the other side, raising his shield to protect himself.

In fact, if he had reacted when he was attacked before, at least one of the bronze-ranked gray wolves would have been guarded by his side.

After all, since the opponent’s first wave of attacks was aimed at him, there is no guarantee that there will not be a second wave of beheading tactics.

Now that his soldiers with the highest combat effectiveness are not around, even if Golden Tiger and Bone Broken have control skills, he can only arrange for them not to participate in the battle.

Apart from believing that the two bronze-rank gray wolves can handle it, he has another plan.

That is to use oneself as a bait to attract attackers to attack themselves again.

After all, I was so frightened that if the other party rushed, maybe they would succeed.

Capture the thief first and capture the king!

If the other party really rushed up, then he would give the other party a good look.

The roaring skill of the golden tiger and the charge of the broken bone are both excellent control skills.

However, Guo Xiuwen obviously thought highly of the attacker.

He hid beside the golden tiger without showing up, nor did he take command. He only relied on the twelve giant wolves to quickly end the battle.

”Master, the battle is over!”

After the battle, Goblin Big Green was the first to run over.

Guo Xiuwen glanced at the other party curiously. Before he got off the golden tiger’s back, he could see clearly that this goblin, who had always been timid before, bravely rushed forward when he was attacked.

But after taking a look at the opponent’s axe, he knew that this guy had not found an opportunity to strike.

”They, they ran away some, I can see clearly, they are a group of mixed elves.”

There was no need for the other party to tell him that he had already received a reminder that these guys were called half-elf shooters long after these guys died.

During the attack before, he didn’t know the number of attackers, but now he stepped forward and saw that there were only four corpses lying on the ground.

The corpse was bitten by gray wolves so hard to recognize, but looking at the pointed ears of the other party, it was indeed somewhat similar to the legendary elves he knew.

But looking at the clothes on the opponent’s body and the bow and arrow in his hand, one can guess that these guys are not doing well.

”Hey, why is there a gray wolf missing? It turned out to be chasing them.”

After Guo Xiuwen looked at the battlefield, he found that there were two gray wolves with black iron steps pierced with arrows, obviously injured.

Then he saw that there was only one bronze-level gray wolf at the scene, and as soon as he sensed it, he found one of them running in the jungle.

From the consciousness sent back by the other party, he knew that the gray wolf was chasing the half-elves who were fleeing after failing to attack him.

Guo Xiuwen was actually a little curious as to why the other party attacked him.

Of course, he also had some guesses.

So with a wave of his hand, he led the team in the direction where Gray Wolf was chasing.

The half-elf archer was considered an aborigine in the forest, and he escaped without leaving any traces.

However, there is still a clear gap between their strength and the Bronze Level Gray Wolves.

At this time, Gray Wolf can leave traces to guide Guo Xiuwen and others while chasing them.

When he continued to move forward and saw a place with obvious signs of survival, he knew that his guess was probably true.

The guy who attacked him this time was obviously a lord with the same identity as himself.

Not long before that, he saw the gray wolf and the half-elf corpse beside it.

Guo Xiuwen took a few steps forward, looked at the territory that was covered by a white light curtain, which was about the same size as his own territory, and couldn’t help but sigh with emotion.

He thought of a book he read before he traveled through time, which talked about a dark forest law.

What the law says is: the universe is like a dark forest, and every civilization is a hunter with a gun.

All hunters must be careful when walking in the forest and need to hide themselves as much as possible.

Because there are hunters like him everywhere in the forest.

If a hunter discovers other hunters ahead of time, there is only one thing to do: kill the discovered one.

In this forest, everyone else is an eternal threat except yourself.

Any life that exposes itself will be quickly eliminated.

In the world of lords, lords are hunters, and when two or more lords collide, conflicts will inevitably occur.

Because the total amount of material in a range is constant, the lords need to develop and expand, and the weaker party will inevitably be annexed or eliminated during this period.

Obviously, this lord discovered Guo Xiuwen before him, and then chose to attack in a sneak attack.

I want to take this opportunity to get rid of an opponent.

But he underestimated Guo Xiuwen’s strength.

In other words, he underestimated the strength of his soldiers.

The wrong information evaluation led to the opponent’s wrong shot.

This led to the destruction of their own soldiers.

Guo Xiuwen sighed, he was actually a good person in essence.

Although he knew that the theme of the lord’s world was fighting for hegemony and killing, but because it had just arrived, he still had a little extravagant hope in his heart.

Last time, after discovering that the goblin camp was probably destroyed by a lord who existed like him.

His first choice was to retreat, not to look for the other party’s trace, and then do some bad things.

But now when he was discovered by another lord, the other party’s first move was to assassinate him.
