Chapter 2001: I’m Here to Send You Off

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

The hotel was located in the heart of Shinjayka District and was very prosperous.

The streets were filled with people, and Lin Yi blended in with the crowd. No one noticed anything strange about him.

Less than a minute later, Lin Yi arrived at the entrance of the hotel.

Unexpectedly, he saw a sign that said that it was closed for the day.

There was a huge chain securing the door from the inside the building, and it seemed that it was not open for business.

But at this moment, Lin Yi noticed that there were many people walking back and forth in the lobby. They all looked hurried, and it didn’t seem like they were closed.

There had to be something fishy going on!

“What are you doing?!”

A man in a suit walked up to Lin Yi when he saw him standing at the door.

“The hotel isn’t open today. Go look somewhere else.”

Lin Yi nodded with a smile and turned to leave, but he didn’t give up.

Although it was closed, there were so many people in the hotel. This meant that there were other entrances that made it convenient for others to enter and exit.

Due to this, there was no doubt that there was a backdoor.

Lin Yi didn’t waste any more time and walked slowly towards the back door.

After walking a few dozen meters, Lin Yi came to a small alley that was more than three meters wide.

Compared to the bright and beautiful main street, this place was a little dark. It was not even clean enough to walk through normally.

Soon, Lin Yi passed through the alley and arrived at the back door of the hotel.

As he expected, not only were there people going in and out of the back door, but there were also more than twenty cars parked there, and each of them was expensive.

“Who are you?”

Just as Lin Yi was about to move, he heard a shout.

He noticed a man in black standing not far away.

Unsurprisingly, it should be one of Sato Yuu’s subordinates.

Lin Yi didn’t stay for long after being discovered. He pulled down his mask and walked over.

“Stop right there!”

The man in black noticed that Lin Yi was sneaking around and chased after him.

At such a sensitive moment, no mistakes could happen.

This was exactly what Lin Yi wanted.

Lin Yi purposely quickened his pace, but the man in black was even faster. He caught up to Lin Yi in a few seconds and grabbed his shoulder.

“Who are you? Why are you here?”

Lin Yi didn’t say anything and grabbed the man’s wrist, pulling it behind his back.

Then, with his other hand, he grabbed the other party’s neck and pressed him against the wall.

“If you don’t want to die, then cooperate.”

About ten minutes later, Lin Yi walked out of a quiet alley.

The clothes on her body had also changed into the man in black’s outfit. He looked quite decent.

..

In a private room on the 18th floor of the hotel, Sato Yuu and the other seven managers were eating.

However, the atmosphere between the few of them did not seem like a gathering, but more like a discussion.

“The daytime raid was very successful. We’ve already taken control of sixty percent of Yoshitomo Kyomoto’s territory. In another three days, the rest will also be in our hands, but we can’t afford to be complacent,” Sato Yuu said confidently.

“Leader, I don’t think that’s wise.”

The speaker was a heavily tattooed fat man.

His name was Kenta Miyamoto, one of Sato Yuu’s seven group leaders, and all of them were his trusted aides.

“Tell me your thoughts,” Sato Yuu said.

“We succeeded because of a surprise attack. I believe it won’t be long before Yoshitomo Kyomoto, along with the Mitsubishi family’s men, will retaliate against us. At that time, Taro Karasawa will also get involved, which will be very disadvantageous for us.”

“Taro Karasawa?”

Sato Yuu smiled disdainfully, then took a sip of tea.

“I’ve never taken him seriously. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have targeted Yoshitomo Kyomoto first today. I have already planned to attack Taro Karasawa tonight. I bet he won’t expect it, giving us the upper hand and benefiting our operation.”

“Attack Taro Karasawa tonight?”

The expressions of the seven group leaders varied, all looking surprised.

“We haven’t fully taken over Yoshitomo Kyomoto’s territory yet, and we lack the capacity to deal with Taro Karasawa,” Kenta Miyamoto said.

“Moreover, our position isn’t secure. Yoshitomo Kyomoto might retaliate with the Mitsubishi family’s support at any moment. This is too risky.”

“I agree with Group Leader Miyamoto. We shouldn’t make too many enemies at once. It’s better to focus on one at a time; otherwise, we’ll suffer,” another group leader added.

“I understand your concerns,” Sato Yuu said.

“But I’m doing this because we have help from behind the scenes.”

“Help from behind the scenes…”

Everyone exchanged glances.

“The reason I chose to act against both of them now is because we have a comprehensive plan. Someone will help us finish off Yoshitomo Kyomoto. We don’t need to worry about that. For the remaining time, just focus on dealing with Taro Karasawa. We must take this opportunity to consolidate all their territories!”

“Leader, can you be certain about this?” Kenta Miyamoto asked.

“If the other side doesn’t fulfill their promise, the consequences for us will be disastrous.”

“I understand your worries. Our ally will be here soon,” Sato Yuu checked his watch. “They should be arriving any moment now. Don’t worry.”

The seven looked at each other, realizing this wasn’t a joke.

With external assistance, taking over Yoshitomo Kyomoto and Taro Karasawa’s territories wouldn’t be difficult.

“What about Caie Mitsui?” Kenta Miyamoto asked.

“It seems last night’s car accident didn’t affect her much.”

“The Mitsui family holds a high status in Sunrise Land. It’s impossible to undermine her with such methods. We need to hit them in the business arena.”

“Understood!”

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

As they spoke, the room’s door buzzed with an electric sound.

Sato Yuu and the others turned their heads, frowning.

Who dared to open the door without permission?

Soon, the door opened, revealing a young man holding a long object, standing at the entrance.

“Which group are you from?”

Seeing that Lin Yi was wearing their organization’s clothes, Sato Yuu mistakenly thought he was a member.

“Team 1,” Lin Yi replied coldly, closing the door.

“Team 1?”

Sato Yuu was puzzled because their teams were not organized that way.

“Who are you really?”

“Let me introduce myself. I am Lin Yi, leader of Team 1 from the Central Guards Brigade of Huaxia. I’m here to send you off.”
